Hey, Zero-brain, who did you vote for in the election, the "born again" Bush-boy? You don't have to tell us, we know you did. Unless of course you are too young to vote. Pray on buddy, pray on.

Well, Leif, glad to see you left your as usual insightful commentary. Even though I'm sure virtually no one cares, but I'll talk a little politics... I can't stand Dubya. He's a wof in sheeps clothing as talked about in the book of Matthew. Jesus said we will know people by their fruits, and Bush's fruits show who he really is. I don't support Al Gore, but honestly, of the two, I'd rather see Gore in office. I like Pat Buchanons social stances(abortion, putting God back in schools, etc.) but I don't agree with him on a lot of the more political ones. Ralph Nadar is a terrific guy, who's done a lot for consumers, but with his heavy duty support of abortion and homosexuality I couldn't give him my full support either. Then there's Howard Phillips and Harry Browne, 2 candidates who could cause anarchy in the nation if they were ever in office. So that leaves us with John Hagelin, the man I support most out of the major candidates. If anyone wants to take a political quiz head on over to www.selectsmart.com.-zerokewl

Trust you to make the election issue abortion and christian values. What a self centered egotistical person you are. Voting for who you voted for is like taking your ballot and throwing it in the garbage. He is a nothing and never will be, politically speaking anyway. Kind of like you, huh, Zero-brain? And you actually think (oxymoron) your candidate is a "major candidate"? What are you, on some kind of drug that keeps you in a glass bubble or something. What a goof."Even though I'm sure virtually no one cares" Being the christian person you are, you have to care, don't you???? And above all else, I care about myself so that makes two people who care. But you're sure no one cares, aren't you? "Time stands still for no one"

>Trust you to make the election >issue abortion and christian values. Well I'm glad you trust me, Lief Those two aren't the only ones I consider though, here are the major issues as I see them: Abortion Crime(strongly against death penalty and for preventative approaches) Campaign finance(strongly favor reform) Evolution vs. Creationism(I think both should be taught as theories) Gun Control(strongly favor strong gun control laws) Health Care(strongly favor govt health care coverage) Moral Issues(strongly favor teaching traditional values) Social Security(strongly favor making sure social security and medicare will always be around)> What a self centered >egotistical person you are. awww shux, glad you took the time to think that up I'm wondering, Leif, what are your stances on issue's and who'd you vote for? >Voting for who you voted >for is like taking your >ballot and throwing it in >the garbage. He is >a nothing and never will >be, politically speaking anyway. Well, not so. Voting for someone you don't support is like throwing your vote in the garbage, because then you're helping get in someone you don't even like. I'm wondering, do you know anything about John Hagelin? >Kind of like you, huh, >Zero-brain? You must really like that name >And you actually think (oxymoron) your >candidate is a "major candidate"? Well, yes I do. I'm pretty sure he got more votes than the guy running for the communist party > What are you, on >some kind of drug that >keeps you in a glass >bubble or something. What >a goof. Not unless you count being on a Jesus high as a drug >Being the christian person you are, >you have to care, don't >you???? And above all >else, I care about myself >so that makes two people >who care. But you're >sure no one cares, >aren't you? You should be a politician, you're great at twisting around what people say ok, so I'll correct myself: 2 people on this board care about my political stances, though the webmaster probably at least is happy this board is getting a little bit of activity, even if it isn't survivor related. -zk > >"Time stands still for no one" >

<Abortion> This issue is sensative but the only thing that strikes me funny about this issue is that the "pro-lifers" shoot a few doctors and employees of some abortion clinics and win the "war" by killing people. Now there are less clinics available for people to "chose" what they want to do with their bodies. Did you know you won the war, Zero-brain?<Crime(strongly against death penalty and for preventative approaches)> So I guess the pro-lifer that killed some abortion clinic workers does not have to worry about getting killed by the state, seems fair. <Evolution vs. Creationism(I think both should be taught as theories)> Let's see, it is against the law to teach religion in public schools so if we say we can teach both creationism and evolution as theories then that's OK. Who you trying to kid with that one. I don't think the legislators are dumb enough to fall for that trick. Evolution is proven FACT, evolution (I don't give a rat's ass what you say Zero-brain) is not proven. <Gun Control(strongly favor strong gun control laws)> You forgot to say it was OK for pro-lifers to carry guns in order to kill innocent abortion clinic workers. Or should they kill them with kindness instead? <Health Care(strongly favor govt health care coverage)> I'm from Canada, Health Care for all is not the greatest thing. It is very expensive. It costs alot to keep people healthy and it will take higher taxes to pay for it. Are you willing to pay the high taxes we do up here? I pay out close to 35% of my gross income to the government in income taxes. Plus we pay 7% Gross Sales Tax for almost everything we purchase plus Provincial Taxes (except Alberta) <Moral Issues(strongly favor teaching traditional values)> I read...Bible Study for all the kiddies. <Social Security(strongly favor making sure social security and medicare will always be around)> We finally agree on one thing, kind of. <I'm wondering, Leif, what are your stances on issue's and who'd you vote for?> See above for an indication of my thoughts on what you think the issues are. I vote for the NDP. New Democratic Party. Slightly socialist, slightly left of center. The party that was instrumental in starting Medicare for all in this country. If I was in the States I probably would be voting Democrat. <I'm wondering, do you know anything about John Hagelin? > OK, who is he? I never heard of him and I am too lazy right now to look him up on the internet. <>Zero-brain? You must really like that name> I kinda think that name is catchy, you got it and you earned it, it will be with you forever. Your welcome (in advance of your thank-you) <Well, yes I do. I'm pretty sure he got more votes than the guy running for the communist party> Oh, yeah, that makes him a real MAJOR player. (I am being sarcastic) <Not unless you count being on a Jesus high as a drug> Nope, that doesn't count, sorry Zero-brain. <You should be a politician, you're great at twisting around what people say> You never know Zero-brain, I might be one. But thanks for the compliment anyway. <: 2 people on this board care about my political stances> Who are the two people. Let's see now, one is you, who is the other one? And don't you dare say me! Those people who misused God as an excuse to commit violent crimes were absolutely wrong, and contribute to giving Christians bad names. ><Crime(strongly against death penalty and for preventative approaches)> >So I guess the pro-lifer that >killed some abortion clinic workers >does not have to worry >about getting killed by the >state, seems fair. So...I'm assuming you support the death penalty. Well, don't you think it fits the bill of "cruel and unusual punishment"? What gives us the right to take away human life, haven't you learned "Two wrongs to don't make a right?" I will commend you though, your current stances on abortion and capital murder don't make you a hypocrit, just wrong. Human judgement is flawed and errored, and as a result men innocent of their crimes have been murdered. I believe it was Thomas Jefferson(who I'm no fan of, but none the less...) who said something like, "it is better to let 100 guilty men off than to convict 1 innocent person". It's unfortinate our legal system doesn't feel the same way today. >Let's see, it is against the >law to teach religion in >public schools But you see, this is not teaching a religion. This is teaching a scientific theory. Evolution is a product of scientism, every bit as much a religion as Christianity. > so if we >say we can teach both >creationism and evolution as theories >then that's OK. Who >you trying to kid with >that one. No one, I'm only trying to convince people > I don't >think the legislators are dumb >enough to fall for that >trick. Evolution is proven >FACT, evolution (I don't give >a rat's ass what you >say Zero-brain) is not proven.
But you see, Lief, you are incorrect. Evolution is scientific THEORY, and it's a very lame and unscientific concept. In order to believe in evolution you must accept that living matter can come from non living matter, a theory that was disproven century's ago. The whole entire idea that man evolved from apes is a dimwitted idea. Then there's the so called "missing link"...Hmm, now if missing links happen, why aren't we able to find any today? How come there's never been actual FACT supporting evolution? The answer is evolution is not how everything came about. Whether you accept it Lief, there is a greater power out there, God, and He sent His son Jesus Christ to die on the cross so we can be with Him in Heaven forever. Now, I'm not saying teach Creationism as FACT. That could count as forcing religion on students, however, I suggest teaching it as theory the same as evolution. What's the matter with that? Afraid your theory won't hold up? >You forgot to say it was >OK for pro-lifers to carry >guns in order to kill >innocent abortion clinic workers. >Or should they kill them >with kindness instead? But you see, Lief, I never said that. As I've said, all those people who commited those crimes were wrong. They should be put in jail the same as any other criminal. >I'm from Canada, Health Care for >all is not the greatest >thing. It is very >expensive. It costs alot >to keep people healthy and >it will take higher taxes >to pay for it. >Are you willing to pay >the high taxes we do >up here? Yay >I vote for the NDP. >New Democratic Party. Slightly >socialist, slightly left of center. I just saw a debate for the Canadian Prime Minister position. The current guy looked pretty bad, especially when he avoided answering some of those questions...liked the debate style though, I wish the U.S. would use it for its debates.
> The party that was >instrumental in starting Medicare for >all in this country. >If I was in the >States I probably would be >voting Democrat. Well, judging by your beliefs I can tell you the person you seem to agree with most is Ralph Nadar of the Green Party, a very respectable man but w/ whom I have a couple views that we differ on. Of the 2 main parties, however, your views do reflect democrats greatly more than repubulicans. I consider myself a conservative democrat. >OK, who is he? I consider the major candidates to be Gore, Bush, Nadar, Buchanon, Hagelin, Browne, and Phillips. > ><Not unless you count being on a Jesus high as a drug> >Nope, that doesn't count, sorry Zero-brain. well then, guess not. >You never know Zero-brain, I might >be one. <Lief Erickson: man of mystery>You know what, Zero-brain, I like that, I really do. Thanks alot. It brings back memories for me, comic book stuff, flashlights under the sheets, Saturday matinees at the theater. That just about made my day. Other than that, this thread is getting way too long. We have said what we have to say (at least I have for now) and I want to get back to just being a kind of nemesis to you (but not in a religious way). If that's OK with you Shanana Banana. Lets just agree to disagree for now OK Zero-brain? Leif Ericksen, man of mystery.
