"Lex & Tom Swore On Their Sons to Ethan?"
What is this? Did this happen on a part of one of the shows that I missed? People keep referencing this - where is this coming from. It seems very strange. Can someone explain why people are saying this happened?

I believe in Episode 1, Lex tries to get Ethan to join him and Tom's alliance saying that he trusts Tom because they swore on their sons or something to that effect.
The real question is, was the original alliance Lex and Ethan, or Lex and Tom? This becomes really important in knowing where the real alliance is.
If Lex and Tom were allied and then approached Ethan, then Ethan may very well form a somewhat counter-alliance (perhaps Kelly as speculated on other threads), much like Colby and Tina did when approached by Jerri and Mitchell.

MC_Hampster is right... In EP1 Lex was trying to get Ethan to join with him and Tom, and was telling Ethan that he trusts Tom because they both swore on their sons.
from the way it sounded, Lex and Tom was the original alliance.
