I've read a few posts about the inevitable merger, and I tend to agree that it will happen at 9 as oppossed to 8. I also agree that this would most likely lead to a predictable boran top 5. I would like to pose another scenario. Jeff says "no one knows how or when it will happen..." The teams could "merge" and begin to compete as individuals for immunity while still remaining seperated into tribes. This would add a whole new level of intrigue to the game. Borans wouldn't be able to reunite and they would be forced to consider forging ties with their samboro. Another mindf*#k cortesy of MB. This is probably unlikely, but still an interesting idea. I'd be interested in hearing others thought on this.
