"What songs would you like to hear on AI?"
I'm listening to Greatest Hits albums on my MP3 player and there are so many good songs out there that we never hear a contestant sing. What would you like to hear and by whom?

Look what Bo Bice did with "Vehicle"! There are some great 70's songs that I've never heard on AI
I'l like for someone to sing:

"Saturday in the Park" by Chicago,
"Separate Ways" or "Faithfully" by Journey,
"Feels like the First Time" Foreigner
"Hold on Loosely" 38 Special, or
"Night Moves" by Bob Seger.

1. "RE: What songs would you like to hear on AI?"

Songs/Artists I'd love to hear someone do, but never have on AI...

I'm shocked that so far - if memory serves - nobody has ever done a Prince song.

Has anyone ever done REM?

For country night, i'd LOVE to hear a guy take on "How Do You Like Me Now" by Toby Keith, but again i've never heard a Toby Keith song.

Matchbox 20/Rob Thomas...

I think to some degree its because the artists/labels don't allow AI to use the songs.

I've never heard any Beetles song either. I think Michael Jackson owns the catalog and wants too much money to use the songs.

For the finals of season two, you'll recall that both Ruben and Clay each did a Beatles song. Ruben did "Imagine" and Clay did "Here, There and Everywhere".

They both sang them poorly, if I may add...

Whitney Houston, or 90's music and also 60's music. Nikko Smith did a great job with "Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye
