I have to say that last season was the best so far. They had a great mix of competitors and good talent. I think the auditions have been properly tweaked. The one thing i would strongly urge them to keep is the good variety in 'themes' they had last season. They had broader themes and new themes. Season three's predictable themes were getting boring. I would like to see them make one change - NOT force it to start out with an equal # of guys and girls. I thikn they should bring the best 12, even if they are all men or women. I did miss the wildcard vote last season though..... geekboy   Top

I agree, with the rest of you guys. I don't think they should have men vs. women. They should simply pick the best of the best regardless of sex. That's almost like saying you know what lets make it black people vs. white people. Isn't that crazzy if you think about it. So I don't think they should make it men vs. women, it should be whoever's the best should be chosen.   Top

I think that the final two should sing a song that suits them. I think that in each season the song that is the one to be released has been geared more to one then the other. Why not have a song for each of them, one that they sing well. Bo and Carrie both had great voices but the song (inside your heaven) was more geared for Carrie then for Bo. Same for Diana and Fantasia and even as far back as Kelly and Justin. Just a thought.   Top

I would really love to see them improve the voting system this season. I know they make improvements with each season, so I am sure they will do what they can. I am talking about the phone lines and busy signals. I mean, on one hand, I am amazed at the technology for them to receive millions of votes in a 2 hour period, but if they can accomodate more calls, then I think it would make it more fair. I know I couldn't get through as many times as I would have liked. Another thing I hope for this season is that they learned their lesson and do much more thorough background checks so we can be spared the controversey. I know some people love it but I think with each story, AI's credibility goes down a little bit.   Top

I think their credibility went down when they passed the shoeless guy who talks to animals through to Hollywood. I can't say that the guy was absolutely painfully horrible but he wasn't good either. However, he was entertaining and full of energy but this is a singing contest so that's no excuse for why he was passed through.   Top

I'd really love to see a MAJOR DECREASE in the number & duration of 'runs' that people do. I had hopes that the style was falling out of fashion, but last night my hopes were dashed (particularly by the 16 yr old twin guys -- nice voices, but try singing the melody, boys). Ugh, yargh, retch, gag, etc. Leave that crap to Mariah (and then I know to avoid her CDs). (runs give me the runs)   Top
