"Blake & Paige - A Rant" |
Thread after thread with the wonderfulness of Blaige. Arghhhh! There is a special place in hell reserved for those who are smug about doing the ordinary and these two are going to be charter members. Cure cancer, go ahead and be smug. Hit 73 homeruns in one season, feel free - you've earned it. Read a freaking map - shut your mouth. There are millions of 8 year olds who can read a map. So you got on the road ahead of the other teams, don't break your arms patting yourself on the back. Blaige has a smugness factor that not even the Guidos can match. There is a thing called grace, and these two have none of it. They constantly gloat over their minor victories. We got a priority pass because we are so nice to people. Shut up. By the way, human beings have emotions that range beyond happiness and lust. Humans get tired, they get depressed, they get angry. Barney, Kathie Lee Gifford and Blaige apparently don't. Now we know that Barney is a fictional character, and I'm pretty sure that Kathie Lee is one as well, so what's Blaige's story? If the producer's were trying to creep me out, they succeeded beyond their wildest dreams with the shoulder rub incident. Blake, Paige, perhaps on your home planet brothers and sisters act like married couples but here on Earth, it's considered a no-no (and not the kind that were eating the Survivor people up, either). Keep your hands to yourself, and every other body part, too. Blake, a little advice. She ain't that great. She's moderately cute, though I'm sure you have much more intimate knowledge of her looks than we do, but she certainly isn't in Emily's class. Paige, what can anyone say? Blake's not much of a catch. He's got some wierd ideas about clothes, his business can't be that great if he can afford to leave it for 2 months to do this race, and, when it comes right down to it, I don't think Blake is the sharpest knife in the drawer, if you know what I mean. These two have done the impossible - they've made a Twil or Chex win palatable.

Still, this is a refreshing change from Survivor where every player think they are playing the game with "integrity". Here it's the total opposite, all the remaining teams will stoop at almost anything to win and even admit it.

Littlesplitty, you have put my thoughts into words exactly!! Especially where you said, "I think it nice to see a team with a positive attitude, versus the Twill resonse to everything with "You're an idiot, shut up!" I just want to add my thoughts in response to the comments about Blakes business not being all that if he could leave for two month. It would appear to me that the business is doing well and he has competent people if he could leave for two months. A business owner would never leave a buisness that is doing poorly! But then again it is only an advertsing company, nothing as impressive as the 2 furniture designers and the 2 nightclub bouncers. Man oh man, how did they ever leave those lucrative, important, and impressive careers for even a moment!!

Maybe it's just me but all the Danny and Oswald fans are pretty bitter the day after, huh? I respect Danny and Oswald but they're gone, done, see ya later! They weren't competitive enough to win this thing and it finally showed last night. Also, why all this talk about how Blake and Paige don't deserve to be in the final three? As much as i dislike the teams of Chris/Alex and Tara/Wil i won't for a second say that they don't belong in the final three. Both teams, whether you like em or not, showed competitive drive and proved they were here to win throughout the race. Blake and Paige are no different. They made blunders, i'll admit. But guess what? They obviously didn't make as many blunders as the other 8 teams that are gone. Plus, the fact that they were able to make so many blunders and still be in it should be a testament to how good they really are. Now i realize that not all Danny and Oswald fans hate Blake and Paige, this isn't intended for you folks, but all the nasty posts about the bro/sis team the day after Danny and Oswald get eliminated shows hypocricy. You all pulled for Danny and Oswald cause they were nice, classy guys. So why are you being nasty and bitter when they get beat?

::is not just a bitter O and D fan::A huge Linda THANK YOOOU! to Serendipity for putting my thoughts into words, although I pretty much liked 3(Cha) from the beginning... I didn't trust anything about Team Oddly-Suggestive-Siblings from the getgo... seemed kind of stupid, kind of low... and definitely Ugly Americans... that said, I was a huge supporter of the Dorks, so the Ugly American thing was not such a factor... just... no real redeeming qualities... they keep slathering on the self-motivation, which is so syrupy that the Mrs. Butterworth's people could easily score possibly the two best spokespeople around off these two. You can say what you like about these bland and... well, kind of sickening kids, but they're about as exciting as Tina, Amber, Kim P, and Colby rolled into one. Wonder Bread. All you Blaige supporters can continuer to love vanilla, but I'll be busy looking for the Chubby Hubby. -=J=- "I would never ruin a glitter shirt!" - Danny

Class? Is it considered classy to crow about how smart you are? Is class defined as spending every moment on camera telling the world how clever you are? Is it classy to always be the person who is trying to find an angle - even if the angle is technically within the rules? Was it classy to leave the Granny's sleeping? Say that Blaige is cunning. Well, OK. Say you like them because they are so wholesome. That's OK, too but I do have some nice beach property in Arizona that I'd like you to consider. But giving Blaige credit for class is liking giving Richard Hatch credit for being nice.

Is it considered classy to crow about how smart you are? -The last time I checked all the teams but Cha's did this. Is class defined as spending every moment on camera telling the world how clever you are? -Um, Ditto Is it classy to always be the person who is trying to find an angle - even if the angle is technically within the rules? -Well let see, if it's within the rules and you do want to win I'd say yes. why else would you be playing the game? Trying to come up with a different angle than the other teams can only help you. If you cheat and don't follow the rules your out (we saw what happend to Momily). So far they haven't done anything wrong, you non Blaige supporters just get pissed when they show actual signs of intellegance. (Trust me, I'm a Bleige supporter and they have done some really stupid things, I'm actually suprised they are still in the race....) Was it classy to leave the Granny's sleeping? -I love this! In the end leaving the Granny's asleep affected nothing, because they got all bunched up any way. And lets say they had awoken the granny's you all would be saying how stupid they where for waking them up! The way i see it they gave the old buggers a extra 45min. of sleep!

They've >acted very much like what >I suspect they are - >a rich kid with a >toy business and a stuck >up sorority girl. So if you were to actually be financially successful in this world, you are going to let your kids grow up with the experience of being poor and going to a rotten school. Breeds character I say. Please!!! money and sororities have nothing to do with anything.

Tried to get in the museum of arts before 7am. 11). Took a "mini-bus" instead of the right bus at the airport in Thialand. Oops! that was not Blaige. Wrong teams. Notice the plural. I thought Blaige were the awful team that was showing no class and integrity, so it must have been them. >And all the other little things >that they did to indicate >a total lack of integrity, >they showed me a team >with NO class, no ethics >and a desire to do >absolutely anything necessary to win >the race.
If I decide to apply for AR3 will you also apply. It will be nice to have a team who will not do everything possible within the rules to win. Everyone else will really want to win.

Spartan,I usually do not bother to reply to a post that is a reply to mine. It usually just gets to be a long dialoge that no one else is interested in. However, I was not quoting from your post. If you will look again, in my reply to you I mentioned leave off the rich kid/sorority thing. I think it reeks of bitterness even if you did not mean it to. Nothing against your character mind you. I do not even know you. It just annoys me. I know you did not mention class being something the other teams had or playing outside the rules. If I thought you had, I would have replied as I did directly to you. Rateater did with the exception of twill. I disagree though I usually throughly enjoy his posts. I will reply to this. No one has been as smug as Chex or Dave and whatshisname. Blaige do not claim to be wholesome. They are who they are. We posters have labeled them wholesome. Somehow, I doubt if you consider their ages that they would consider that a complement. Next, since when do Blaige seem to be saying that they are not playing on the edge. I notice them only confronting Will about backstabbing and expressing disgust that their strategy has not worked. Many times though I have been wrong however. So please give me an instant and I will reconsider.

I agree with you Trigirl! Emily was certainly cute, but Paige is both cute and athletic. Plus, anyone who would go on a long stressful competition with their mother, as opposed to a sibling or friend, kinda confuses me. I love my mom and all but she ain't someone i wanna open clue cards and do bungy jumps with.

You know, with the number of dirty tricks starting to become evident, I was wondering just where TAR was headed. Well nothing can happen on TAR that will eclipse the moronic postings that are starting to accumulate on this list. Is it my imagination or did TAR1 bring out far fewer character smearing messages than the latest race has?

Don't forget all the posts about Emily's breasts! For once, I actually hope that girl was not reading what other people were saying about her. Some of those posts were stalker'esque/scary!
