PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

1. "RE: The first 3 minutes" |
This part of the article that seems to suggest turmoil and conflict right out of the gate... ----------------------------------------------------------------- ``We were extremely lucky with the casting,'' Burnett says. ``They go from zero to 60 in one second. One of the all-time memorable moments is in the first episode. Within the first three minutes, you'll say, 'They're back.' '' ``Conflict reveals character,'' ``Survivor: Africa'' host Jeff Probst observes. ``You can prep all you want, but when push comes to shove, you react. These contestants do things you know they're already regretting, but they can't help themselves.'' ----------------------------------------------------------------- They were "extremely lucky" probably because they got personalities that clashed. "Zero to sixty", in the first three minutes...what happens in the first three minutes? They meet the members of their tribe, grab a map, and head off towards their camps. Bickering, arguments, tension and "you'll say they're back"...Debb, Alicia, Kimmi, Jeff and if not them the same tension and fireworks... The all-time-memorable moment probably has something to do with a close encounter with the indiginous wildlife. A lion walking through camp or something like it that reinforces the fact that they really do have to "survive". Krautboy
