Hi All -Its been a great season, and i have to say the activity and discussion on this board this season has been exceptional. Just some random off-the-cuff thoughts looking back at the season... * I think this may have been the best season of AI so far
* It definately was the best batch of themes this season
* I really wish that in the future they would have at least one week of 'contestants choice' theme early in the season
* I'm waiting patiently for my 'Bo Bice & SugarMoney' EP i ordered...
* I miss Nadia....
* The finale was actually the best so far. I like the idea of 'The Idol's idols' but the star power was quite weak. Bo w/ Skynard did kick a#% though
* I have to admit it that i'm impressed with Simon's ability to pick the winner quite early in the season. I don't know if I agree with him, but he obviously know's the general population's taste
* I'm curious to see what Carrie's CD is like. She's telling everyone she will be making a true country CD, but when those producers get their hands on her, it will be interesting to see what is actually on that CD.
* Bo, be firm and persistent. Clay was able to make a "Clay CD". take your time, write or find the right songs, and make a true "Bo CD". You are a star, you will outsell Carrie.
* Bo. Do NOT under any circumstances make a CD full of covers. Be yourself, not Karaoke-Bo.
* Finally, as much as i wanted to see Bo be crowned American Idol, i think after the fact he's is better off in the #2 spot in terms of the star-making power of his debut CD. I think AI would have been better off with Bo winning, but oh well. I'm not certain about Simon's prediction of the selling power of Carrie, but then again - WHAT DO I KONW?! Everyone have a great summer and maybe by Christmas we'll all have the #1 CD in the country, Bo's debut! geekboy

I can see them making him put a couple, like "Vehicle" cuz everyone loved it. But I can also see him doing a bunch of his own stuff.

I (pathetically) have been a little down since the finale. I'm going to miss checking this board. Even though a lot of us claim we'll never watch another AI season, you know we'll all be there trashing everyone once again. Have a great summer!
PS, Any suggestions for a replacement for my AI fix?

I would recommend "Hit Me Baby One More Time" just to see Cameo. LOL!"You are the Girl" is TLC's star search. (That is the group, not "The Learn Channel") And the "Rock Star INXS" should be interesting. Burnette is producing it, and the contestants must play an instrament. A lot tougher than Idol. I like Rascal Flatts and Carrie--I thought they blended very well. They could easilly make that a number hit. Agree with you on all other points.

That new show called "So you think you can dance" or somthing like that comes out soon. It looks funny. From the guys who made AI. I'll probably watch that.
