E! has been doing the idols red carpet thing. Just saw Paula in her purple Dolce and Gabanna dress. Paula said the "they are both winners" thing. I missed Simon's entrance and interview so I do not know if he is still pushing Carrie or if he is going middle of the road.I have not watched the whole thing but they had Courtney Love and others going in to watch the finals. A lot of support for Bo.

It was rigged!!!!!!!!!!Carrie, good singer but no personality. Must have been a group of Carrie supporters that used their computers to speed dial faxes that rigged the voting. Our local news in Houston, TX just had a story about a women voting 12,000 times using her computer. They indicated if 150 people got together and did this, they could determine the outcome. Hopefully Bo will get more face time like Clay did. Paula will not return next season due to the scandal. The former idol contestant that was involved was a guest on local radio here this week. He indicated she won't return next season due to what went on. I think we will pass on next season. Bo knew he had lost before it was announced. Go back to the tape. Seacrest, lout!

Carrie sings Angels brought me here again. Choir is back to support her.She seems extra happy. Hmmm...they must already know who won. Is it happiness that the pressure is off and Bo won but she still gets a contract, or did she win? I looked at the last finale thread....65 mil votes in May 04 ...wonder how many we will have tonight. I think the first one was 15 mil votes or so and the seoond finale was 30 some mil votes.

She had had a makeover, new hair do, new hair color, jewelry, a long black dress...her name is Leann something--Ryan said it too fast. Sounded like Rudd. Anyway, the crowd went wild when she came out. Good for her for holding her head up and belting it out, even if she can not sing. Now Carrie and Bo are singing a duet..Lift us up where we belong... the one from Officer and a Gentleman with Richard Gere and Debra Winger. Even in this song I prefer Bo hands down. Ryan S is now giving Bo and Carrie new red convertibles!

Let's say you polled people about whether they liked Coke or Pepsi so you could determine the favorite.If you polled 300 people and 51% said they liked Coke, and 49% said they liked Pepsi, it would not be a correct conclusion from this data that Coke is preferred over Pepsi because the 2 percentage points difference between the two brands is not statistically significant with a 300 person based survey. The margin of difference would need to be greater--and I forget how many points it needs to be with a 300 base survey, but it would be at least 4 or more points to be statistically significant. (Someone who is a stat or math whiz help me out here!) What it means is that you could run the poll again and the result could be the reverse-51% Pepsi and 49% Coke. But if you started out with 54% preferring Coke and 46% perferring Pepsi, then that would be statistically significant based on a 300 person survey and if you ran the survey again and again with new groups of 300 people, then you would still get Coke as the winner.

They are making it like an expose with Steve what's his name from the Good Life show doing the interview...they are lampooning the Paula-Corey story and now Constantine had a small, goofy role in it too as an Italian waiter.They are even dragging Ryan into it. I think any mention of Simon wearing a baby T shirt deserves at least a --sip--. The secret in the end is that Simon has been having an affair with himself.

Powell is the only original member on the show (there are only 3 original members left). The guitar player with the long gray hair was Ricky Medlock, who is ex-Blackfoot and currently with Skynrd. I think Hughie Thomasson of the Outlaws was the other guitarist. Skynyrd's bass player, Leon Wilkeson, is also an original member, but I don't know if that was him on stage.

1st of being that Bo is Rock more then Pop (like Idol likes them) Im almost positive that Clive will give Bo more le-way. Clive said he couldn't wait to make a kick ##### album, something like that, with Bo last week. I know Clive is a very smart man & he knows that Bo doing crap he doesn't like, will not only include no soul, but wouldn't be accepted by US the Fans & the ones they are making the album for.

DW thought for sure that Bo had won because he didn't have the chance to sing either of the original Idol songs before they announced the result (and she has this wired theory about who sings the 'winner' song first being the loser). I thought it was very odd that Bo didn't sing either one of them.FTR, I guess I am one of the few who thought that they were BOTH great contestants and that Bo or Carrie being great Idols doesn't mean that the other sucks. I was pulling for Carrie and I'm glad she won. Bo was the better performer, but Carrie IMHO had the better voice. Congrats to both of them and AI for putting on the best finale show in the history of the series. I would buy that "Broken Road" duet tomorrow if it were on the market.

To begin with...I liked Carrie since she made the "stars" comment. So...here are some random comments from me...First, I just left the South after three years of pure torture, BUT...Carrie struck me as a sincerely nice person (southern is kind of fake, not entirely, but usually someone "that" nice has an ulterior motive, whereas it doesn't seem Carrie does), which is odd for someone with a "psuedo" southern accent. Second, of the final two, neither of them will have staying power. Bo is (in all honesty) a cheesy wedding band singer from some white-bred town in Alabama. In concert he may be fun to watch, but record sales determines whether or not someone gets a tour...and, Bo's voice (with what will probably be a cheesy backup band) will not sell on the radio. Carrie is (as we all know) a cow girl from OK. Enough said. Both will be happy with their 15 minutes of fame. Third, Carrie has the good story (21 year old blonde girl), whereas Bo seemed TOO seasoned (desperate 29 year old "rocker" with perfectly conditioned hair (what brand does he use?)). Fourth, Carrie was NEVER in the bottom three, whereas Bo was. Fifth, for country music standards, Carrie has a great/simple voice that is SOOO marketable on the radio, and, quite frankly, that is all that matters with country music (minus Shania, Toby, Dixie Chicks, Garth, and some others...)...but who has really been to a Gretchen Wilson concert? Sixth, I'm convinced that Carrie was leading in the votes the enitre season, and to hype up things this season, the producers realized early on that they needed to push for someone (hence, Bo). Then, in the season finale, the judges (and producers) went with Carrie (to go back with what the general Wal-mart shopping public wanted to begin with). Seventh, Paula's a crackpot. I love Amy Poehler's impersonation. Eight, they should have let Carrie sing that Heart song...and Bo sing "Spinning Wheel." Those songs were them at their best. By far. Ninth, I so didn't need that bottle of wine during the finale. Peace out people...from a lurker.

I also would have been happy for Bo if he won because he was so good and I'm sure will do great having won or not. It's a singing contest and America voted and Congradulations Carrie.

So did anyone else see Jay Leno last night? Carrie was on but they also presented a singer that I had never heard of, Nika Costa. She was HOT! Absolutely owned the stage. Now that is my idea of a performer.

I think Carrie is a good singer too, as well as about 50% of the the top 7. I will be @ the store the day Bo's Album Drops!!! In all honesty the "REAL WINNER" is the one who sell's the most records!!!! And who is accepted into the business with open arms. My prediction is that Carrie will sell a lot of records, but I do think that Bo will sell more. Guess the "REAL FINAL" is yet to come. 
If this sounds like sour grapes, then so be it.
