"Six questions for a juror" |
Ask yourself the following if you were a member of the jury:*** 1) Who, be it intellectually or physically, has best applied himself/herself to the game; 2) Who do you believe needs the money the most; 3) Who has personally offended YOU the least; 4) Who, as you see it, has offended OTHERS the least and done most to ensure harmony within the tribe; 5) Who do you perceive as having done the least back-stabbing; 6) Who, however begrudingly, has come closest to combining all the elements of playing the game? *** If you can ascribe Colby, Tina or Keith's name to more of these questions than the other two, chances are you'll have the winner.

Some very good questions GG...can I add some comments (based on this being the SECOND JURY) Remember everybody knew from day one the events and contestants involved in S1. >1) Who, be it intellectually or >physically, has best applied himself/herself >to the game; ****The obvious answer is Colby. Tina hasn't "won" anything except hubby Dale managed to answer more internet questions correctly. Tina "let" Keith win the Pole-Standing IC --- but Colby also "let" Keith win by bowing out early. >2) Who do you believe needs the money the most; ****This is total BS; has NO relevance to the show, imo. What value is this "need" based on? Do Alicia or Jerri or Nick...give a flying squirrel whether Tina or Colby most "needs" the money?? I don't think so!! >3) Who has personally offended YOU the least; ****As far as personal offending or trash talking Tina and Colby have kept themselves "above" average in honesty---Tina was "sad" that Lis/Rodger had to be booted but she didn't miss a beat doing it..hehe. Colby has been nice and kind/friendly to everybody except Keith (AND Colby chose the common long-standing complaint about the "rice" to declare he's "quits w/Keith".) >4) Who, as you see it, has offended OTHERS the least >and done most to ensure harmony within the tribe; ****For the FOUR Kucha tribe members Lis/Rodger/Alicia/Nick Tina and Colby are equally GUILTY of offending THEM by voting their lil bootee butts onto the Jury. Moot point?? >5) Who do you perceive as having done the least back-stabbing; ****MB's motto: "Outwit -- Outplay -- Outlast" INCLUDES the fine art of "back-stabbing" (see: R.Hatch). Respect for playing and winning glosses over alot of "gray" incidents along the way. > >6) Who, however begrudingly, has come closest to combining >all the elements of playing the game? ****Again Colby is a proven winner and Colby hasn't made many silly mistakes (cept not letting Bessie have the RC overnight with the Aussie Buckeroos.) Tina is a proven good contestant who has used brains to last without winning. While no one was eager to vote her out when they had the chance...does that indicate the Jury "prefers" Tina to win OVER Colby??? Also....Keith being booted to the Jury for only 24 hours before the final TC....could give Keith enough time to cause emotional upset over his "version" of Tina/Colby back-stabbing ALL seven of them in one way or another. >>2) Who do you believe needs the money the most; >****This is total BS; has NO >relevance to the >show, imo. What value is >this "need" based >on? Do Alicia or Jerri >or Nick...give a flying >squirrel whether Tina or Colby most >"needs" the money?? I don't think so!! Dalton, you're right - the question is BS and should have no bearing at all in the decision making process. Yet, we did have good 'ol Kentucky Joe sacrificing himself because he felt Liz needed the money more re her sick mother. Whether others have dropped hints along the way as to their financial situation, who knows? The thing is, no matter how much you should base your vote on the elements of the game, sometimes, even if only subconsciously, you can swayed by sympathy. Further example: Keith has made it known he is a celebrity chef ("I've cooked for the President of the Uunited States!"), has his own TV program etc. Ergo, he's not short of assets. And if you had a hard time choosing between the two finalists, this bit of info might serve as a tie-breaker? One final example: Colleen from S1, voted for Jenna because, in her words, "it's clear you badly need/want the money", or something to that effect. Point is, who knows what goes through people's minds sometimes. Just ask Greg 'Pick A Number'. I do agree though that the answers to the questions make Colby a likely winner. GG P.S. I posted some comments to your reply on my 'Dear Mr Burnett thread on Bashers. Any chance of you adressing them? -
