I like her voice as well, but if you spend time cultivating a certain image, it would be best not to shatter it to pieces. I'm sure Josh Gracin lost votes in AI2 when he was disrespectful to Simon, since it went counter to his All-American persona. Like it or not, Carrie has billed herself as the Innocent Girl Next Door. Her performance ran counter to that image. While vocals should be the top-most requirement for this competition, how you sell yourself to the public is important as well. And right now, Carrie isn't handling that aspect very well.

I am a bit surprised by Bo being in the bottom three, even though his last two or three performances have not been his best. I am basing my votes on who's CD I would buy and who I would go see in concert. I was all for Nikko but alas he is out as of last week. With the contestants that are left, I would buy Vonzell's CD but not see her in concert. She is one of those singers where you have to be in the mood to listen to her, like Mariah Carey. I would also buy Bo's CD and I would go see him in concert, I think he would put on a great show, IMO.

I posted this in the other forum and I have to here as well - here it goes:"Question? Has anyone else ever done something that you have regreted? I mean, in a weak instant, has anyone else ever said words that you wish you could take back? Or in a stressful second, has anyone else ever responded in a way totally contrary to who you really were? Hmmmm! Truth be known, we are all a whole lot weaker than we at times present ourselves to be. Now my point! I don't know Scott Savol personally but of all the AI finalists, I know more about him than anyone else, simply because, he has been open from the start concerning his life. His past mistakes have been discussed extensively and from the opening interviews the press have spoken - Scott Savol did not hide his shortcomings. Every song that he has sung has in some way been connected with his pain. Basically, his story is being told in his performances. I cannot relate to him in the sense of his specific anger actions in the past BUT I can relate to him because I too have said and done things that to this day I still regret! So can everyone who sincerely looks back and sees that their deeds have not been absolutely perfect. Furthermore, some of the posts concerning Scottie have been so hateful and degrading proving that there are those who in their own personal anger have responded just like Savol did - at least he has realized his mistake. He has connected with America because in some small way, we all have walked a similiar path! The past is the past - I live, not contigient on yesterday's wrongs, but trying to do my best today as I walk toward a greater tomorrow! Scott Savol does have a stained past - we all know that by now - but he also has a gift he wants to share - and this may be his way of finding peace through singing his song! Weak performances - YES, same can be said of all the finalists left. I kinda believe Scott's best are yet to come! We will see. Sing on Scott Savol!"

The only consolation here is that Scott has been in the bottom three only one week less than Nadia. (or is it 2?) I know myself that as much as she impressed me, I kept thinking that this girl has a career the second she steps off that stage to go home. She has the voice, the look, and she knows how to dress. American Idol would have just been gravy for her. At least she's been discovered and brought to the forefront. Now she has only to work it and make it her own.If Scott didn't wear his life's discontent on his sleeve, he might be more likeable. I'm sure I'm not the only one who caught his fingerpointing with the verse, "take a look at me now". He definitely wears a huge chip on his shoulder. I also think I caught a bit of emotion in the song. But, for him to be SAFE and Bo and Nadia to be left standing there, knowing one was about to go home - well, that ain't right. And Bo, I hope he stops looking at this like the bet it was, and looks at it as the career that could be. I'd love to see him cut his hair a bit. Not that he needs to - but because I didn't see much of his face or his eyes or anything until someone asked if he'd cut his hair. Since then, I've looked at his face, and he IS a cutie. Moreso than Constantine, in my opinion, but C is blowing him away with ambition because he's taking it seriously. I feel for Nadia, because based upon ability, she should have been there a lot longer. Even though we started with 24 and worked it down to a top 12, to be as good as she is and to have to leave at #8 just doesn't make sense. It seems we have been watching forever already, like we should be down to the top 2, but we still have at least 6 shows left, don't we?

I'm tired of seeing good singers go home early, while the crappy singers hang around, garnering sympathy votes. I'm sick of it. I won't be watching anymore. It's supposed to be a show about talent. TALENT, something Scott utterly and completely lacks. It's an absolute shame....

I agree completely. I think I've given up on this season; no one really appeals to me anymore. I liked Nadia's slightly out there song choices and such. It was originality in a season that's lacking it. I really can't bring myself to root for anyone now. Carrie? Great voice, no personality. Bo? He's been blech for about 3-4 weeks now. Constantine? One good performance does not an idol make. I'll watch again next year.

What is going on here??? I can't beleive that Anthony & Scott are continuing to stay put while good singers are going home!! Who is voting for these 2? I just don't get it! I am in total shock over Nadia going Home its just out right awful & Bo in bottom 2 come on now!! Scott and Anthony can't out preform or sing Nadia OR Bo!! Im starting to wonder if our votes even count or if this stuff is done to create "Drama" and ratings??? I will say this though...at least we know who we will be supporting once thier records come out and that will reveal the REAL WINNER!!

Anthony at least, sometimes I really enjoy watching even though he is inconsistent at times and not at the top level as some others... but Scott, pfft... after his comment he even gave last night about "oh well theres those millions at home watching who didnt have the nerve" Pfft, who does he think he is, the guy doesnt ever smile, he has a horrible attitude, and the last 3 weeks, I feel, has been in the bottom 2 each week. I cant believe people are voting for him :/And as for Carrie, she may have a very nice voice, but I enjoy watching Nadia and Vonzell sing/perform much more.

Although I thought Scott should be the one that left tonight, I do think Nadia deserved to be in the bottm 2. Additionally there is no proof Bo was in the bottom 2. They said Scott was safe before they said Bo was safe, but that may have been done for the sake of drama.

I could be the only one here who doesn't have a major qualm with the decision, probably because I was working when Tuesday's episode was on. I do doubt that Nadia deserved to go, but I'm still a fan of Scott's voice (personally, I think the bashing based on his looks isn't worth the characters used to type it, so that could be a reason). He does have his bad singing moments and he doesn't have a lot of charisma (he does have personality, if not the greatest shown), but I think that when he is on, he is one of the best in the game, similar to Anwar but Anwar has the looks going for him and those amazing final notes. On overall quality of voice, I think that if Scott were more consistant, his voice would be one of the best in the game (not to be confused with best notes, best pitch, whatever, but as an overall singing package).Now, did Nadia deserve to go, I highly doubt it. She had a lot of strong performances and even if her night was weak (I wouldn't know), she was one of the better performers, and she had personality to boot. Personally, I'd love to see Anthony go (who is one of the more boring contestants in a while) and Scott may have deserved to go, but Nadia just wasn't one of the contestants (to me) that I would miss a bathroom break for. If the world was perfect, then maybe Scott or Anthony should be gone, but I won't miss Nadia that much.

I've always been a Scott fan. He hasn't been very good in the finals, but when he is on he is absolutely fantastic. His voice is so smooth and the way he controls each individual note (again, when he's on) is beautiful. I really believe that with some real training, he would probably be the best vocalist up there...he's extremely rough around the edges (vocally), but he really just needs to learn the basics (proper breathing would probably help a lot) and he'd be fantastic. He's not fantastic now and I can certainly agree that he's bottom three worthy and could have been worthy of going home tonight. I didn't find his comments to Simon annoying at all...he was saying that he's proud of himself for being up there when a lot of other people didn't have the guts to do it. Seems he's had a bit of a rough life and I'm sure his looks haven't exactly helped in that department, so I can't exactly fault him for being proud of himself...I was really surprised that he didn't go after the criminal stuff was leaked, though.Moving on to Nadia. Her voice itself is arguably the weakest of the bunch. She's a performer, but that's about it. I think it's great that she picks off-the-wall songs, but that doesn't automatically make her a great singer. She's an okay singer at best. She's fun, but that's about all she really has to offer as a vocalist. Even though Scott has been pretty bad as of late, in some ways I'd rather see him stick around because I know he has much more potential (vocally) than Nadia. I really do wish someone else was picking songs for these people because they all (with the exception of Constantine and my dearly departed Nikko *sniffle*) are doing a horrendous job in the song selection department. There is a reason that people who didn't like Constantine much (including me) are beginning to like him now...he's picking all the right songs for his abilities/strengths. And sometimes that's half the battle. I am a singer myself (I don't particularly like the quality of my voice, but I was a voice major at my performing arts high school and I know that I am technically very good) and I know far too well the importance of choosing the right song for your voice. We always had to compete/perform at the State Solo & Ensemble competition, where we were in a room alone with a judge and were given scores based on a variety of categories. Appropriateness of song (not in those words...I forget exactly what it was called as it's been ten years now) was one of the categories and it was based upon how well the song fit our voice (abilities/range and the quality/tone). The right song made all the difference in the world from one year to the next (one year I was only two points shy of a perfect score - out of a possible 50 - the year before I got a 41 and most of the points were deducted because of my song choice). These folks have really got to get to know their vocal abilities a little better if they're serious about being musicians. Constantine obviously knows his instrument. I'm really beginning to think he's the only one who has a clue at this point. I'm quickly becoming very disappointed with this season's crop of contestants.

I am not holding Savol's looks against him. However, he has zero onstage charisma and his ego far exceeds his talent. I'd like to buy him for what he's worth and sell him for what he thinks he is worth.
