ejm92 2221 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Roller Coaster Inaugurator" 07-11-03, 00:19 AM (EST) "TAR4 PickTheBootee Game, W7 Results/W8 Entry" Entries Still Accepted! A very uneventful week, with a few successful re-entries and a few unsuccessful re-entries. First of all, let's welcome the 7 re-entrants to the game...... cyclehausen, ejm92, Froggy446688, Survivor Maniac, rucksack, Neobie, MTW1961 Unfortunately, 2 of these re-entrants, cyclehausen and Neobie, both forgot to put Tian & Jaree on their boot lists for the week. So, just like a revolving door, they're out as soon as they're in.....but don't let that discourage you, come back again this week! Our current leader (and leader for most of the season), Keae, played it risky and had a successful 11 point week, which tied for the best score of the week. Also tied for first on the week was re-entrant Froggy446688, who almost cut her re-entering penalty in half with a huge week. The low scorers of the week were our second place in the points standings, GeorgiaBelle, and re-entrant MTW1961. If you have any questions about the scoring, let me know! ---------------------------------------------------------------- Week 8 - It's time for week 8 in the game, and we're following the same format as last week. Make your picks for the teams who will finish poorly in the leg....5 points for correctly choosing the eliminated (or last place) team, you will be eliminated from the game if you forget to pick the eliminated team and if it is a non-elimination leg you will receive a 5 point penalty. 3 points for having a team who finishes in next-to-last on your list, and a 2 point penalty for each team that is on your list but does not make the bottom two......also, if it is a non-elimination leg, your picks used will not count toward your final total of picks....Here are the remaining teams...... 1st. David & Jeff 2nd. Jon & Al 3rd. Jon & Kelly 4th. Millie & Chuck 5th. Reichen & Chip Remember, the fee for re-entering the game is a 25 point penalty and your picks for the week will start up at 35. If you do enter or re-enter, make sure to let me know because scoring is much easier that way. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Leader Bonus - For the second leg in a row, David & Jeff were your leaders. Second place was occupied by Jon & Al. There is a 4 point bonus for correctly picking the leader of next week's leg, and a 2 point penalty if your pick is incorrect. You also can choose the second place finisher for a 2 point bonus, and a 1 point penalty if you are incorrect. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Fast Forward Bonus - No one used their Fast Forward option this week, so no points were earned or lost. This week, you can choose who wins the FF, and if you are correct, you'll gain 5 points.....3 point penalty if you are incorrect but the penalty will only apply if a different team wins the Fast Forward, no penalty if the FF is once again not used. Millie/Chuck have used their Fast Forward, but no one else in the race has. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Bonus Questions - Once again this week we've got the bonus questions. Because of the lack of bonus points and low scores last week because there is not as much going on, I'll increase the number of bonus questions and also increase the value of the questions. They will be worth 3 points apiece, and no penalty for missing them. 1. Which team will finish the Road Block first? 2. Which team will arrive at the Detour last? 3. What country will the Pit Stop be in? 4. Which team will make the largest gain in the standings? 5. Which team will make the largest fall in the standings? 6. Will this leg be an elimination or non-elimination leg? ----------------------------------------------------------------- Sadie's Road Block Bonus - Once again we've got the Road Block Bonus.....this week everything is the same, choose the member of each team that will complete the Road Block. No specific way to make your picks, just make it simple and easy to score if you can. You will receive one point for each correct answer, no penalty for missing them. ----------------------------------------------------------------- I believe that's all, hope everyone has a good week and good luck!
