julieo74 40 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Beauty Pageant Celebrity Judge" 10-24-05, 05:16 PM (EST) "I think Allyson enjoys the Spotlight a little too much!" I believe that Allyson Is having too much fun with being on "reality t.v.". Instead of celebrating that she is still alive and able to breathe another day, have the opportunity to have the genetic testing, have reconstructive sugery, have a theripist and life coach to get thru this not only once but twice, is a little frustrating to me. My own mother had double mastectemy in her 30's and died at 43 from cancer. I'm now in my 30's and basically waiting to get the bad news myself someday (I pray that I don't though). I understand that she may not have the support system that would be ideal, but come on Ally! Instead of hating your body, rejoice that your alive and spend the rest of your days living the life that you should live. I feel that she'll never get it, and wants to be in a state of self pity. I think that we don't see the "real Allyson" but the "reality t.v. Allyson". Its time to move out of the spotlight and live life to the fulliest!   Top

She's changed for the worse since last season. Like that orange hair- good God! She also seemed very insecure during the BOR today....like she's not being sincere. I'm good at reading body language and the way she was looking down while they spoke it seems she's having a lot of self-issues she didnt have last season. Like she's more pretentious of the cameras, perhaps.   Top

I think I "get" Allyson .. I think. If I read her right, she's waiting for the other shoe to drop. You should not think the worst, but you're so bloody used to it you can't help it. I know, I know .. it's the self-fulfilling prophecy. If you live in fear, your worst fear will be realized. How do you break decades of negative programming and instead start loving yourself and your life? Any ideas/comments?   Top

While i agree with you about allyson.. I think the title should be Allyson should come to a point of rejoicing.. not i think allyson enjoys the spotlight a little too much.. my mother is a survivor of breast cancer.. and she lives life to the fullest.. Allyson is in self denial and is not allowing herself to see that she is beautiful no matter what... and she is even more beautiful cuz god chose her to live and to change someones life or her own.. And too see it from a spiritual stand point.. her life was sparred and for what reason? Only God knows and once she looks at it from that stand point rather than looking in the mirror and seeing disfigurement and not a woman.. she will then realize her purpose.. but then maybe not.. i think depression and cancer survivor counseling would be appropriate.. I think someone should take her to a place to talk with the surviving patients and get their opinions perhaps that may change hers..   Top

Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah............poor little Ally..We all have issues that we deal with daily, however, most of us don't have the opportunity that she has to deal with those issues......A Life Coach, a beautiful house to live in, no one around us asking us for anything (family, friends, children, etc.), a calm peaceful place to recover in, a brand new start in life......Oh, that's why it's called Starting Over!!Duh? She is so busy being a martyr and mother superior that she will never get "it". Try living life like the rest of us do, without all of the benefits that she has being on the show, and see how she does. Attitude of Gratitude is what's missing. Can she find it before it's too late?   Top

Allison does not want to leave that beautiful house and her pampered lifestyle there. If you remember from last time...While in Vegas the women rubbed the lantern and were granted one wish. Allison wished to win $100,000 in the casino! Now...If that was me, my first wish would be to be cancer-free and healthy. In some of her exercises this season, she has listed WEALTH as a goal and if I'm remembering right, it came before health! She is there to milk this experience to the bitter end and I do believe it will be bitter. Just because you have had cancer, doesn't give you immunity from being an honorable and authentic person. She should be working to give back and help others after receiving the greatest gift of all from God...Life. JMHO.   Top

I still feel that this is turning into a little too much of the same issues and honestly feel that she probably needed more time to heal before letting her get in front of the cameras again. I think that going and visiting and helping at cancer centers and helping others would help Allyson a great deal. I just can't seem to think that she thinks that being on S.O. is her new temporary career.   Top

I agree with 100%.. Perhaps S.O. isnt the place of recovery for her.. she needs professionals with a doctrine to help her recover from her fight... and yes she keeps dealing with the same thing over and over.. its becoming an over and over discussion.. while she is my fav.. on the show.. she is going to need a long term recovery and not the S.O. house...
