One of the Bransen girls borrows the driver’s cell phone to call the airport. The Gaghans do the same thing. The Paolos are arguing. The Weaver’s driver misses the airport exit. Linz arrive first to airport. First flight depart 8:15 am arrives 10:04am The Linz and Weavers purchase tickets. The Godlewskis, Aiellos and Schroeders share information and book tickets on Independence Air. The flight sells out before the Bransens can book their tickets. The Gaghans purchase the last tickets on the US Air flight. The Aiellso think the Weavers have changed flights. One of the SILs is upset the Weavers wono’t answer their question about whether they booked another flight. The Paolos book a flight on United. Linz, Aiello, Schroeder and Godlewski on the Independence flight. Bransen, Gaghan, Weaver on 2nd flight, US Air. Paolos on flight #3, United.

The Weavers, Linz, Schroeder find the clue box at the gazebo. Detour: Forrest Gump: go 7 miles to seafood company and a shrimp boat, with hands behead 200 pounds of shrimp. Muddy Water, drive 37 miles to Ridgeville, drive 4x4 through muddy gully, make one complete tour of the course. Weavers doing mud run. Schroeders doing shrimp. Aiello doing mud run. Linz doing shrimp. Godlewskis shrimping. Weavers stuck in the mud. Aiellos get stuck just short of the finish line. Bransens shrimping. Paolos arrive at gazebo, decide to shrimp. Weavers are pulled out and must start from beginning. The Aiellos are on their second try, get stuck. A couple of the boys have a mud fight. The Linz seem to be ahead shrimping. Gaghans arrive at the mud run. Weavers on their 5th attempt at the mud run. Aiellos on 5th attempt. Both teams are stuck. The Weavers leave to go do the shrimp. Schroeders finish shrimp first. Linz, then Bransen. Make your way by foot to Charleston Visitor Center, sign up for one of two charter buses departing 3pm and 5pm, to mystery destination. Gaghans complete the mud run on their first try. Linz first to Visitor center, on bus #1. Schroeder second, Godlewski 3rd. Each bus can take 4 teams. Bransens arrive for 4th position on bus #1. Aiellos on 13th attempt on mud run and are stuck again. etf typo

That probably sounds better than it sounds (although it sounds GREAT)! I have seen car commercials that say 'free gas for 1 year with purchase of any new car'... or something to that effect - and then you look at the small print and see something like "free gas will be given based on a maximum of 15,000 miles, 23 typical mpg at $2.25 maximum per gallon" - now it would have to be a bit higher now that gas is higher, but I bet it maxes out.

Aiellos still on mud track, new driver. They are rocking the 4x4 as they drive and finally complete the course. Currently in 6th place. Gaghans arrive at visitor center and realize they are on 2nd bus. Paolos are shrimping and yelling, finish their tasks, currently in 7th place. The Weavers arrive to shrimp, hoping to catch up. Paolos are 2nd on 2nd bus. Aiellos check in at center, Weavers arrive at visitor center and are last on the bus.The bus ride is an 8 hour ride to Huntsville, Alabama, where they will find their next clue. They arrive at a bus station, drive yourself 5 miles to us Space and Rocket center. Find Edward O. Buckbee hangar for next clue. Bransen, Schroeder, Godlewski, Linz depart bus station in that order. Roadblock: Roadblocks will sometimes be performed by 2 team members. 2 people enter centrifuge and ride until their bodies are pushed by 3.2 gs. If they can make it they will receive next clue. Bransens first (Beth and Lindsay), Linz second (Alex and Tommy), Schroeder third (Mark and Stassi), Godlewski fourth. Next clue; make your way on foot to rocket park (1 mile), search for Saturn 5 rocket, find computer station, log onto AOL for next clue. Bransens find computer, retrieve mail, instructed to race to Space Shuttle Pathfinder, the next Pit stop. The Bransens are first to arrive. They also win free gasoline for life at BP or Arco stations, for each licensed driver. Yowza! Linz arrive second. On the second bus, the Weavers are a mess, Mother Weaver freaked that her family are prisoners on a bus going who knows where. Everyone notices the Weavers are upset, so the Weavers decide to make a game out of it and act silly.

The Weavers are having a collective nervous breakdown. Meanwhile, the Michelle and Christine are on centrifuge for Godlewskis. Schroeders are in 3rd place on their way to space shuttle. Bus #2 arrives in Huntsville. Weavers are in 5th place, Aiellos in 6th, Paolos and Gaghans in 7th and 8th. The Schroeder’s arrive 3rd at Pit stop. The Godlewskis arrive fourth. Weavers arrive at Space Center 5th. Everyone arrives. Aiellos 6th, Gaghans 7th, Paolos 8th. The little kids are running to collect their tickets. Aiellos end up in last place. Weavers arrive at Pit Stop as team #5. Tony and Brian Paolo complete the centrifuge, looking for the Saturn 5 rocket. The Gaghans complete the centrifuge, currently in 7th place. Aiellos complete centrifuge, currently in 8th place. Mama Gaghan leads her family in the wrong way. Paolos listen to their mail. Carissa points out the sign to her family, the Gaghans arrive at space museum and receive their message. The Aiellos receive their message. Last 3 teams are hustling. Paolos arrive at mat as team #6. Gaghan family arrive in 7th place. The Aiello family arrive at mat as team #8. They have been eliminated from the race

Jeez, I wanted to like TARFE Americana, and tonight they went to places I've been, but---the order of finish was decided by the numbers pulled at the centrifuge, which simply wasn't a good roadblock. The editors threw in their usual misdirected suspense, and that was that. Probably the worst planned and executed leg in TAR history. And to make things even worse, the Paolos will pollute my TV again next week, where it looks like we are going to NOLA before the storm (just like Sri Lanka before the tsunami!)...that sure looked like the I-10 bridge there in the preview, the bridge that isn't completely there anymore.

tonight they went to places I've beenWhere have you been? Shrimping, driving through the mud or Huntsville? I have found that the show is more interesting to see them going to places I have been because I find myself laughing at how stupid they really are for not knowing their way around. Just because they are going to places I have been doesn't make me not like the show. I was one of the first ones to bitch about the family version and I thought it would be terrible but I am finding it very fun to watch. I am not so sure the editing lastnight was any worse than the other seasons as they through the misdirection in every single time.
