The vote threads have looked pretty good last couple of times with the exception of a few votes by newbies. Shake it off newcomers it was just first vote jitters and yes, you are forgiven. I will take this opportunity to invite all you detectives to the Off-Topic and Bashers Board. They are fun places to hang and even though at first site, it looks like only an elite few post on these boards, nothing could be further from the truth. We know that Rodger or Lis should go, but we have other evidence (Jerri's chat and the Boston paper, respectively) that indicates they do not. Of the four Ogakor left, Tina/Keith/Colby were allied to boot Jerri but didn't tell Amber. Colby and Keith were worried about Amber defecting to ally with Lis, even though (like Jerri) Amber has never been disloyal and has reason not to trust the Kucha, who voted to boot her last week. The threat will be removed this episode. Amber will go.   Top

I don't like the CBS previews that says, "One Survivor misses out on all the drama. Will this affect this person's standing?", it makes me think that it may affect their standing, but not in a bad way or if it is in a bad way it won't be realized completely this epi (the half truths abound...). I like the pic of the horses and think that Colby is helping to move some of the essential items to dry land (to dry out? to move camp?), while riding he could be away from the others and thus missing out on the drama. It effects him in a positive way, as he was instrumental in 'saving' camp or at least some of their gear. Prior to the RC, they may have been thinking about booting Colby, but due to his work they keep him on (so his standing was effected). Amber wises up and joins Liz & Rodger. Amber may still be somewhat loyal to Colby and Liz & Rodger may be a bit loyal to Tina. They could also be annoyed (threatened) by Keith's arrogance. Also, was Keith responsible for the rice...is that why they are asking him where it is (they were asking him, weren't they?) If it's lost they may blame him. I think that Keith was featured so prominately last epi as it was one of his last... backup: Colby   Top

"The Colbster" I think there are logical arguments for everyone except Tina this week, but I can think of 2 reasonable scenarios where Colby goes: 1)K/T are allied with L/R - Would explain why Keith pushed to vote off Jerri when he did, and why Tina would agree, even with Amber still a "wildcard" vote, since they wouldn't need her to get to final 4. Building tension between Keith and Colby plus Colby being a greater immunity threat than Amber means go after him first. 2)Amber defects to join L/R - Either Keith or Colby would be the target, since they would lose to A/L/R in the tiebreaker. Both are IC threats, but Colby suffered fewer "natural consequences" and is better condition at this point, so go for him. If not Colby, then I think Keith or Amber goes. Keith would be a target in an Amber defection, and she doesn't like him. Amber's vote is no longer needed by the Ogies, so they could decide to cut her loose at this point.   Top

Just when I go ahead and profess my purely platonic love for you in a non-sexual way (not that there's anything worng with that) in my latest summary, you go ahead and open your big fat mouth! I was all set to pull the trigger on Lamber and have a stress free Thursday, and then you went and ruined the whole thing! First of all, after 2 weeks of finally NOT giving away a spoiler everytime you talked you all of the sudden give us something HUGE the day before a show......sounds kind of fishy don't ya think? So, I'm writing off your comments for the sake of my sanity. Now, on to the reasons I chose Lamber. First of all, as an attorney I am trained to look for precedent when tackling a difficult case or issue. The same holds true for Survivor IMO.... there is already precedent for Ogawhore eliminating one of their own once they have achieved a numerical advantage of 2 over the Kucha tribe. Second of all, we all know that IF, I repeat IF, Lamber has a brain she will definitely switch sides and go with Kucha and get rid of The Colbster or Kant-kook-keith. But, where is the precedence for Lamber having a brain on this show? She was part of the poor decision to dump Kel, she didnt see the whole Bitchell thing coming even though she should have based on Scerri's TC comments, she didn't see the Scerri thing coming either....and, she missed a chance to jump ship last week when she could've. She is not smart, plain and simple. Also, with the weather, there is a good chance that there won't be much time to plot and scheme....no lazy walks along the river scrounging up intel on the two warring tribes....everyone will be stuck in the shelter (or lackthereof) together, so how does she get Lizliz and Kentucky Joe apart from the others to propose a deal...the answer is she doesn't. Plus, we saw last episode the way the Colbster is schmoozing up to her...she'll have no idea what's coming at TC. I am expecting nothing less than a 5-1 vote. Also, and here is the clincher...on the drive home from work, I saw a "sign" that Lamber was definintely gone (or the winner, depending on how you interpret signs from God)...I was driving on a street I take home every day from work and as I pulled up to a red light, I just happened to glance to my right at a building i have never bothered to notice.....above the door of the building was the name of the apartment building...."Amber Regency" and plastered on the door were several "space for rent" signs which is a metaphor for the "empty space" between Lamber's ears. So, there you go: DEATH TO UNCLECAMERAMAN (RYANBBB)!   Top

I feel like I'm back in elementary school, and was just chosen captain of one of the teams... I'm down to the last two people, and I gotta pick one of them... Yes, it's a flawed analogy, but this is stressful as hell!!!!!! Okay, first Amber... there is tremendous pressure to pick Amber, because everyone is... Elliiiiiiiiiiipsis, Boston Herald, SB, most of the people on this board whose opinions I respect... Amber also seems to be a much more logical choice than Colby, for reasons listed all over this board, not to mention this thread... Okay, now Colby... he was all of our suspicion early on this, and there are many spoilers to suggest Amber stays and Colby goes... I don't want to be tricked at the last minute by a bunch of stuff rolling in that may or may not have spoiler validity... So, it boils down to who I want to go... Amber, so that I can gloat that I was right about the source code spoiler (in my first post ever) or Colby (so that I can gloat that my PTTE are still alive)... Hmmm... no help... I think it ultimately boils down to this one statement from the CBS website: "One Survivor misses out on all the drama. Will this affect this person's standing?" I think that whoever wins the RC, and misses out on all of the action, will be booted, because CBS likes to say stuff like this. This board seems to be pretty split on who will win the RC, but when all is said and done, there is nothing more to say or do. My gut feeling tells me that the Colbster will win the RC... the speculation in favor of him winning is just slightly more believable than the speculation toward Amber... Therefore, I have arrived at the impossible decision of picking Colby, despite the growing opinion that it will be Amber... If I'm wrong, well then I will grovel at the feet of all of you that picked right... but if I'm right, I intend to gloat like I've never gloated before*... besides, if Amber goes, I can always gloat about the whole source code thing. *Note: I never have gloated before, so that's exactly how I'll gloat, but I will be damn proud of myself!   Top
