LIZZLOVER 235 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Network TV Show Guest Star" 04-02-01, 11:12 PM (EST) "POST Survivor Picture" There's a new pic of Mitchell, Nick and Colby in Las Vegas, along with some audio. It mentions Nick and Colby "hanging out" at the ranch. That would lead me to believe that they get to know each other pretty well. "Big Spoiler" The audio says that Nick and Colby hung out at the ranch after they were voted off. I thought the source code was another red herring, but after hearing this, it could be plausible after all. I bet the next to go are Nick, Colby, and Rodger. This would leave Elisabeth, Keith, Tina, and Amber. And then it is anyone's ball game. With votes against him Keith would be vulnerable in a tie. People seem to be referring to Amber like they did to Kelly last season. I think the best spoilers this season have come out of the contestants mouths.   Top

LAST EDITED ON 04-03-01 AT 00:04 AM (EST) i listened to it...it was one fo the girls in the pic calling in and relating the story. She says that they asked them where they went when they got kicked off and Colby or Nick, or maybe both pointed at Bitchell and said: "He got to go to a resort, but we had to go to a ranch." She then said that Colby and Nick immediatly looked at each other and she said that it looked like they exchanged a "we shouldn't have said that" type of glance. If we are to believe that this is genuine, it means that they were definitely at the ranch for a period of time. The people in the final two NEVER go to the ranch, so you know that they didn't make it that far, but I also believe that the person who comes in 3rd place will only be at the ranch for a day or so, which may not be enough to really make such a quick statement about the ranch. I think this spoiler spells definite finsihes below 2nd for Nick and Colby, and probably below 3rd. *** This all ties in with the "Hey look Amber has a brain" scenario where she sticks with Ogafour and dumps Nick, and then she switches to Kucha and gets rid of the Colbster. OR, maybe we see Nick go next and then the GGA springs into action and dumps the Coblster and Lamber.   Top

"GUT" I may start a new GUT thread, but I will add that none of this is inconsistent with the previous GUT, which predicts a Keith/Amber final with Tina third and Colby fourth. Liz wins the IC in E11, which spells the end of Rodger, who finishes sixth. The big question then becomes the E12 IC. Were Liz to win again (which puts her in the final four, as the Boston Herald predicted), then why would Colby get booted instead of Keith? Look at the votes: Liz votes for Colby, Keith votes for Colby, Colby votes for Keith, Amber votes for Keith, Tina votes for ??? If Colby/Tina are the real alliance, as I have contended, WHY does Tina vote for Colby over Keith here? I'm still thinking about this.   Top

"RE: GUT" Aya, I'm not convinced that Tina has a tighter bond with Colby than with Keith - in fact, I think they she would dispense of either if it would take her further - but even if you are right about a T/C alliance, that far in the game anything can happen. It is absolutely logical (oops, not that!) for Tina to vote for Colby at that point, knowing Keith is disliked by several members of the jury and would be easier to beat in Final 2. However, my strong suspicion is that this scenario will never happen, because Colby will not be around in E12.   Top

Due to selective editing and wishful thinking, people (not just you, P2S, but much of this board) have concocted wonderfully complex scenarios in which a Kucha (generally Liz) wins. But Ogakor WILL NOT LET THAT HAPPEN! Why would Tina, for example, think she would be better off in a jury vote against Liz than against Colby? Liz would get all three Kucha votes plus Jerri's, who would be ticked about being betrayed twice by Tina (E4 and E9). Against Colby, Tina would get Rodger and Elisabeth's votes and Keith's vote; Colby would get Jerri and Amber's votes; and Alicia and Nick would be the swing votes, with Tina needing just one of them to win. We're getting close enough to the million for Ogakor to smell it. Even though Keith defected last week, that was personal. This ... is ... BUSINESS!   Top

"RE: Jury vote" Aya, while I've never suggested that Liz will win (but she could), Ogakor does not exist, so saying that they won't let a Kucha win is living in the past. We have every reason to believe that K/T/C are a unit (formerly Ogakor) and A is probably with them at least for this week (though many disagree), but as Rodger said: now it's every man for himself. As far as Burn-it having us snowed, hasn't he been avoiding deception and delivering what he hints to? I remember a slew of people (you excluded) claiming that those of us that predicted the Jerri boot were out of our minds. My point is that I think MB is not understood by many of his most astute students. He does not lie all the time, just once in a while, and he doesn't lie when it would cost him his precious audience. This principal will help differentiate his truth from lies. Your example of Liz being a difficult person to beat in Final 2 is right on. In fact, I think she would beat Tina, but I'm not sure anyone else would at this point. I've tried to speculate about who would vote for who in a Final 2, but have resisted posting any specific guesses because right before I hit "POST" I remember S1 and how terribly wrong the predictions were from almost everyone. We don't know how people will vote (personal as in Susan, or pragmatic as in Sean and others). I have not AND WILL NOT claim to have a clue about who the winner is, and I do not believe that there is enough evidence anywhere for anyone to claim that a Kucha wins or an Ogakor wins. The spoilers tell me it's anyone's to win (except Nick or Colby), Amber and Liz will be in Final Four, and Keith and Tina are likely to be with them. Those predictions I will stand by!   Top

"my 2 cents" While I agree that the cast has proven to be the best source for spoilers, I am taking this one with a grain of salt because I didn't hear it from their mouth. Also people are saying there is no way that Nick and Colby could make it to the final 2 and stay at the ranch, I say that EVERYONE left stays at the ranch for a few days after filming is done. I don't think Nick makes it to the final 4 even though. I do think Nick might me gone next due to his immunity win last time. I think Liz continues to work on Tina, and she may start on Amber. I just don't know if she has enough time to work on Amber before TC. Right now if Amber doesn't know that she will only be in the final 4 she is an idiot. I think if she had half a brain she will go along with K/C/T and vote Nick, then she can go to L/R and join them, that way she is assured at least final 3 where it's anyone's game. I think with all the pictures for the RC and the IC with some thoughtful analysis we should be able to determine the immunity winner and the bootie on this weeks show.   Top

Even without the spoiler I've been feeling that it would be Nick in 10 and Colby in 11 - which I think is a fairly popular sentiment - so this is just padding to what is looking clearer all the time.   Top

Quite a few people made this prediction in the GUT thread which got a huge response. http://community.survivorblows.com/boards/DCForumID2/989.shtml#73 Before we jump on this great spoiler however, we need to ruminate over its veracity for a bit. I'm not very good at analyzing spoilers so I'll wait to see what our resident experts have to say. One initial concern I have though is why the caller claiming to have talked to Mitchell, Colby and Nick in Las Vegas didn't mention what Casino they were in. She says that she just ran into them in vegas and they were just sort of cruising about. The only inside information she got was the "slip" that Mitchell got to stay in a resort while Nick and Colby had to stay at the ranch. If you ran into these guys is that the only tidbit of inf you would get, a major spoiler? A more natural reporting of a real conversation would include a lot more such as stuff about Jerri. In fact, not one iota of verifiable information was provided. Do we know when the photo first came out and whether the call to the radio station was before or after the photo was published? could the caller just have been making up a story to fit the photo she saw published elsewhere? How do you spell hokes...er..hoex...uh hoax?   Top

"This is my local radio station" OK, I don't know if I'll get anywhere, but I have emailed the djs that did the interview. I live in San Diego and this is a very popular local radio station. I'll try calling them tomorrow, too. I'll see if I can get anymore info, maybe even talk to the girls themselves, maybe see the original photo. I have no idea how far I'll get, but I'll do my best! Be thinking of what questions you would want to ask the girls, and if I get a response I'll let you know, and you can give me some good question ideas. Take this however you want, but IMO this is not the type of station with listeners that would be out to perpetrate a hoax. It's more of a "nice guy" station and show, not too corny but not "edgy" either. I definitely lean towards believing that the callers were being straightforward. dk   Top
