LAST EDITED ON 11-06-04 AT 08:26 PM (EST)If you are a fan of Fantasia's then you already have found this info, but just in case: CD release date : 11/23/04 Title: "Free Yourself" I just heard the first single from the CD "Truth Is" and the truth is, it was OK. However, I am not a Fantasia fan.

The results are in..... according to Billboards Top 200, Fantasia's CD ranked # 8 , selling about 240,000 units. Not that great if you compare her totals to the other "Idols" Kelly Clarkson- ranked #1 first week....selling $297,000 units Ruben Studdard- ranked #1 first week....selling $416,000 units Clay Aiken- ranked #1 first week.....selling $613,000 units
Of course she did release her CD the same week as U2. U2 sold about 815,000 units. You just can't compete with that.
However, she did outsell Ruben's new CD, which only sold 94,000 units, and her CD also brought Clay's Xmas CD down to # 11. BTW Clay sold over 270,000 units his first week, which was the hightest selling XMas CD since Celine D. in six years
