I was wondering, TAR was showing U/J having trouble begging to get money. I was just recently in Jamaica and know that $100 jam is worth about $ 1 us. So how could they make enough money to buy plane tickets for two different legs of the race. I am assuming that the tickets are discounted for all the teams but you still would have to come up quite a bit of money. Someone please respond this was my first TAR, I was hooked but the way it ended was upsetting

Airfare does not come out of the funds given to racers at the start of the race/or leg. All racers can charge airfare, no matter what their status of not having money.
They just can't fly First/Business Class. (Only Coach)

I was really sad at how difficult it was for Uchenna and Joyce to get money, and I wonder if it had something to do with racism. Would Rob and Amber have had that much trouble? Some of the people they approached sounded British, and I guess I'm not surprised that a British person refused to help a black couple in what was a former British colony.
