LAST EDITED ON 01-07-10 AT 04:45 PM (EST)Heh! That's a good one, Tribe! Anyway, with 2 votes to 1 (Vince didn't actually say RussHell was the one who got it), Mick gets Foa Foa's Hidden Immunity Idol and here's the lead-up to the Immunity Challenge:
The members of Galu are disappointed -- and mad at Dave. He apologizes for letting his team down. RussHell wishes he had a good steak or some hot dogs. He decides to take his revenge by finding a Hidden Immunity Idol at Galu and using it first chance he got.
As RussHell looks at Galu's Hidden Immunity Idol clues and starts thinking over where it could be, we cut back to Foa Foa. Betsy and Jaison begin working on the fire. All the others praise Natalie for doing so well on the tiebreaker. Mick says he'll go down and get water at the dock so they can boil it once the fire's going. He tells us in confessional that he's going to see if he can find Foa Foa's HII at the dock so that RussHell doesn't get it, just in case. As he gets the water, he looks underneath the dock. Luckily for him, he gets it! He hides it and decides to mention it only when Foa Foa next goes to Tribal Council or at the merge itself. He doesn't plan on telling Natalie or RussHell, however.
When Mick gets back, Betsy and Jaison have gotten the fire going and there's plenty of hot dogs and steaks to go around. Marisa tells us in confessional that things are much better at Foa Foa with RussHell not around. And speaking of RussHell, he thinks he has the right location for Galu's HII. Unfortunately for him, once he gets there he can't find it. In a confessional, he says that either someone from Galu beat him to it or he was in the wrong location. He thinks he was in the right location, so he's going to try to find Foa Foa's HII.
But before he does, he's going to mess with the minds of most of Galu. So, he starts trying to form alliances with various Galu members. Laura pretends to be receptive, but she tells us in confessional that she's not buying. John's more receptive, and RussHell forms a Final 2 alliance -- and of course, RussHell has little intent to keep his word. Laura spots RussHell with John and uses the info to suggest to RusSwell that John might not be trustworthy. RusSwell wonders if that's the case.
Later that night, it begins raining -- and it rains all the way to the Immunity Challenge! Jeff tells the miserable members of Foa Foa and Galu that one man and one woman from each tribe will be holding onto a rope that's connected to a basketball net, while the others try to get balls into the other tribe's net. The more coconuts, the heavier the net becomes. The tribe member who holds on to their net the longest wins immunity for their tribe. Galu sits out Monica and has RusSwell and Laura hold the nets, while Foa Foa has Betsy & Jaison hold their nets.
And they're off! Although Ashley can't get a shot in from her tribe and Mick's also having a hard time, Marisa, Natalie and RussHell are hitting basket after basket. Meanwhile Brett, Dave and John are having trouble hitting baskets. As Dave and Mick get going, RusSwell's basket begins filling up. Laura also has a few baskets. With Ashley finally getting in a shot, RusSwell is clearly struggling. Finally, he can't take it anymore and down he goes. By now, everyone's getting on the board except for John. Although Jaison goes down as well, it's too late for Laura. She finally has to let go!
Jeff: Foa Foa wins Immunity! (Foa Foa cheers as they take the Immunity Idol.) Foa Foa, you're safe for now. Galu, you've got a date with me at Tribal Council. Someone will be going home tonight. You have to decide who.
Okay, so Foa Foa won Immunity and Galu's going to Tribal Council. Now decide which one from Galu is walking the plank. The one with the majority votes by tomorrow afternoon will have his or her torch snuffed.
ETA: It looks more like I'm going to have to do it after 6 pm, since I'm going to a restaurant to have supper soon. I'll get to it as soon as I get back.
