The Amazing Racer 51 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Hollywood Squares Square" 03-26-05, 02:33 AM (EST) "Does anybody know anything new about Episode 5?" Can anybody tell me anything new about Episode 5? Are there 2 Pit Stops or is it all one Leg like the Season Premiere? Also, are Ray and Deana most likely to be eliminated? How likely is it that the CBS Promo Pics of each team are just a coincidence? I'd appreciate any new info because I'm on the verge of a major final 3 breakthrough! (I'm not saying anything yet though until I'm certain... Don't want to spread false spoilers...)   Top

We do know that it consists of Legs 5 and 6, so there's going to be two Pitstops (unless they term half the leg, well, a new leg). It's most likely that the first one is a non-elimination, that has been the way for all previous double-episodes except some of the finales (season openers, Grindelwald-Montreaux-Singapore, Hong Kong-Sydney-Coober Pedy). The coincidence of the Team Backgrounds is being discussed here. The statistics work out to 6% that it can happen by random chance, but it drops to 1% if Ray/Deana are eliminated next.   Top

It looks like the pit stop for leg 5 will be in or around Johannesburg after the FF over the cooling towers in Soweto, the cave trip, and a lion feeding. Then it is on to Botswana for leg 6 and a possible pit stop in or around Gweta and the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park or Central Kalahari Game Reserve.   Top
