I think it's highly likely that all matchups in this challenge will be gender-based. So I don't expect to see any male/female battles. That is probably why Koror appears to be sitting out 2 men (Ian, Willard) and only one woman (Katie). Each side looks to be putting up teams of 3 men/3 women (now, what would have happened if Ulong was even more lopsided gender-wise than they are is up for speculation).
My thinking is that we have either "first to 'x' points", that requires more than the 6 rounds (at least) that we've seen in the promos, or if after 6 rounds they're tied and have to go to a tiebreaker.
Things that need to be considered: 1. What constitutes a "win"? Is each battle 1 point? Or is it a "best 2 out of 3 falls"? 2. Is it "first to 'x' points"? Or a set number of rounds? 3. If a tiebreaker becomes necessary, how are the competitors determined? Does each tribe get to designate its "champion"? Or as often happened in past challenges, does each tribe get to select the person from the opposite tribe, hoping to find the weak link?
My thinking is that it's a "first to 'x' points" structure, and whatever the number is, it takes more than one time through the lineup to reach it, since we see snippets of all 6 pairings on the platform.
