mindy23 1319 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Beef Jerky Spokesperson" 10-01-08, 10:34 PM (EST) "Spoiler information re: Bryant Park" For those of you who were as disappointed as I was tonight, I just wanted to post a web page that I found that made me feel just a TAD bit better about this whole fiasco of an episode. It was listed in "Fashion Week Daily Ruway, October 1, 2008" or http://www.fashionweekdaily.com/runway/fullstory.sps?inewsid+6618432 Don't know if that link will work, since it's changed on a daily basis. But after you read the morning's post, you'll more than likely understand why I had to do some research and why I decided to post this. I'll be back later to explain. All I can say for now, is that this show is becomming a horrible disaster, and a fiasco in the fashion world, in my opinion. When the judges, who are part of an elite world cannot come to fair and decent decisions for the sake of drama, the show stops becoming a 'reality' show, IMHO, and loses the high mark of intelligence and (haute couture) originality marks that I have given it in the past. "RE: Spoiler information re: Bryant Park" The page was there the day after I loaded it, but since it was dated, it's more than likely been replaced by now. But thanks for trying to check it out. It showed some of the clothes/designers that were at Bryant Park. Evidentally, they are allowing all 4 to show, but I'm not sure if they'll all 4 be in the finale of PR. It didn't elaborate on that. My main point (and this was stated in the article) was that the person who wrote this (and you can clearly see by looking at the clothes they picked to show in that article) stated that NONE of these designers could even come close to any of the final 4 from the last seasons of PR! Korto and Jerell's were 'acceptable', but Leanne's and Kenley's were absolutely hideous! I couldn't even believe that Kenley would dare put those outfits on a runway at Target, let alone Bryant Park!! INSANE! Another thing they mentioned was the mediocre attitude of people this season. They stated that Jennifer Lopez had been slated as the guest judge this season, and simply didn't even show up! So, in her stead, Tim Gunn had to step in and be one of the judges! Last year they had Victoria Becham (sp?) and the year before, I believe, the lady from Will and Grace (her name is slipping my brain). Those are top names in the industry. But this year? No shows! Just shows you what a sad, sad, season this turned out to be!! How I wish some of you could have caught a glimpse at those horrid outfits-all dresses, I believe-that Kenley had the nerve to put on that runway!! All season you hear them say "I want to show at Bryant Park", well shoot it looks like almost all of them do. "RE: Spoiler information re: Bryant Park" Usually all who are on the show (so the last 5 or 6) get to show. Bryant Park would spoil the final three so they don't just have the finalist there. But most of them aren't there, just the finalists and the last couple of people to be eliminated. The only ones you will see on the Show are the finalists so they get a lot more exposure for their collection than the almost made its. "RE: Spoiler information re: Bryant Park" Jerell has to be the winner, hands down, IMHO. As I stated before, whether Kenley is in the finale or not, that collection is just hideous! They are so costumey (probably not a word?) that who in their right mind would wear that? And one or two of them look exactly like what she wears every single day-1955 June Cleaver. Sorry, I can't stand her, OR her collection, and I'm just hoping that this doesn't mean that she'll be allowed in the finales 'just because'. When I first saw the page that I posted, I was under that impression. But now that I've read the other posts, and seen this, it clears things up a bit more. Hopefully, it won't be so disastrous. The first girl in Suede's collection was on "I Want to be a Supermodel". Suede's collectinon was really amateur. Korto's was nice as well, but nothing popped for me.
