"Season 2 Information from EW - minor spoilers" |
There was an interview with Steven Culp (Rex) in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly that included some general information on season 2.The producer commented in the article that he wanted the second season to focus on a new chapter in each woman's life - Gabrielle learning to live without Carlos (since he's in jail), Lynette going back to work, Susan working on her relationship with Mike, and Bree as a single mother. So, that gives us a few minor spoilers. - Rex is really, most sincerely dead. - Zach does not kill Susan or Mike. "If there was ever a time you wanted permission to run over a clown . . . ."

4. "RE: Season 2 Information from EW - minor spoilers" |
Kriten from eonline says that sources are saying that Rex may still be alive. (It's a storyline that Marc Cherry is "kicking around") It'll end up that he's faking his death, like many of us guessed. She personally hopes that this is the case-and so do I.From reading her column weekly, I gather that the writers et al. are obviously aware of all the buzz and guessing and gossip and leaks! For example, Tom Scavo was supposed to have another wife, but when it got out he (Cherry) changed his mind. Cherry likes to suprise as much as possible. Maybe we should come up with some kind of reverse psychology to get what we want, I'll start- I WANT REX DEAD!, I WANT CARLOS TO BE THE FATHER OF GABBY'S BABY!, I WANT ZACK TO KILL MIKE DELFINO! I can't wait till September!

8. "For those checking in" |
I found this article on yahoob and thought it was at least interesting. No major spoiler info though. From Yahoo News 'Housewives' Storylines to Get Darker Sun Jul 17,12:51 PM ET
LOS ANGELES - Next season on "Desperate Housewives": darker storylines and some dastardly deeds by a new neighbor. So says the show's creator, Marc Cherry, still buoyant from the show's 15 Emmy nominations, tying "Will & Grace" as the year's top-nominated series. "Thrilled, thrilled, thrilled!" said Cherry. "I can't even think of another word. I was just really, really happy."
He promises next year will bring "more surprises, twists and turns." "We're going darker with some of the storylines, and Alfre Woodard's (new neighbor) character is just up to no good on that street," he said. Cherry and series star Marcia Cross, who plays "Housewives'" uptight heroine Bree Van de Camp, carefully dropped second-season tidbits Saturday at a panel discussion dubbed "Queer is Just a Frame of Mind on Wisteria Lane" — part of Outfest 2005: The 23rd Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. Cherry is gay, as are some of the others on his writing staff — and many fans. "I think any time you get four or five really strong women doing desperate, dastardly things, I think gay men get a big kick out of it," Cherry told AP Television News. "The moment you put a woman in an evening gown mowing the lawn, it's just gay." At midpoint in season one, Bree's son Andrew (Shawn Pyfrom) was caught making out with the new gardener, Justin ( Ryan Carnes), but the two actors said they don't expect their characters' pool embrace to develop into anything more. "I don't think he's gay or straight. I think he's just Andrew," Pyfrom said.
