Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

ohh! thank you! Uggh. I know I'm giving out a lot of clues on this board, but here's one for gratitude:Pay attention to frame 181. No...it's not the loving couple that bothers me...it's santa claus. Two things perplex me. One, by the time episode 13 airs (if the show continues on a weekly basis) then it would already be the holidays. two, look on www.pushtimes.com on the sheriff's blotter. Twice, there has been an incident with this plastic "thing". Monday 9/9, 8:25 PM: 65-year-old male reported a strange figure "lurking" in yard. Officers responded and discovered plastic Santa Claus, fallen from roof. Man thanked officers, who returned to station. Thursday 9/12, 8:47 pm: 65-year-old male reported strange figure "lurking" near trashcan. Officer asked if figure resembled Santa Claus. Man checked, and said it did. Officer asked if man recalled throwing away plastic Santa Claus during earlier incident. Man thanked officer. Officers were not dispatched. Frame 181 conflicts with these two reports. this means (sarcastically), that a 65 year olf guy could've be making love at 9:15, and that st. nick could be back from the dead.

Nah. that's not Job at all. Job's arms are all covered with tatoos, compared to only one red tatoo. Also, Job seems a bit taller and has lighter hair than this killer.

LAST EDITED ON 09-19-02 AT 05:11 PM (EST)It's not Job (see #10 for one of his) Look at the security guy that was shown for no apparent reason in #116.
Note the hairline and fair. Remember he was watching Silas via the security camera and remakred that he was a jerk or such. Look at the killer.
Remember that Mr. Smooth seems to run the Casino. My first hunch is that the security guy is the killer, otherwise the shot of him seems to serve no current use (but maybe it's for some future plotline.) -SB

Silas isn't dead... The guy in the mask was a decoy to make Jim think that Silas was dead. Silas is on his way to Orlando.

12. "RE: silas" |
Silas said he would be in South America by a pool with Jim's wife. Also, he had a small plastic Hula girl on his desk. Also, Jim's wife -- Darlene -- called him from a hotel room showing a hurricane on TV meteorological screen. As for Silas being alive, we can presume, perhaps, that Jim checked the body before leaving. That we didn't see him do it doesn;t mean he didn't, just like that we didn't see him get in his car doesn't mean he didn't -- or else he could not have driven away, right? No movie or TV show is shot in real time with every presumed fact shown on screen. However, if he is alive, why did the three goons show up at the house site and try to convince them it was a suicide? No one disputed that Silas was dead, just HOW he died. In addition, Mr. Smooth told him to take car of Jim by 7 PM, then, when Silas left and used his car phone to call Mary to run away with the money, Mr. Smooth heard him on a sound system in his car. There is every reason to believe Smooth ordered him killed, and that Mary is linked to Mr. Smooth and other higher ups in the Casino and overall plot scheme. If he was not truly angry at Silas, then why the whole scene in which he threatens Silas in his office. That certainly was not for anyone's benefit to con -- since Jim was not in the room, nor anyone else!

11. "RE: Tatoos?" |
If you are suggesting they are the same man, you are wrong. He is shown in the office first, with short hair. The killer has a fuller hairline. Also, he is significant. The security man calls Silas an "ass" while watching him. Also, listen carefully to the three voice mails on the Enoch site. Do you recall anyone talking about Silas always hanging around their office and looking over their shoulders like he doesn't trust them? Obviously, Silas was trying to figure out how to get around the system by checking over their system and how they monitor it. Long and short, he is crucial to the plot in a variety of ways. Whether he will continue to be so is up to the writers, but trying to figure how the money was stolen is still what the three CIA-type goons are up to, and this guy may cross paths with them in some way in the future.

Forget about hair color and arm tatoos with Job.Job's hair is long in back and he has neck tattoos. The killer had no neck tattoos and short, clean cropped hair. And if this killing was a fake, why do the three goons show up and call it a suicide? No one challenged that Silas was dead, only HOW he died! Also, Mr. Smooth tells Silas in private to take care of Jim by 7 PM or he's essentially dead. Silas seals his own fate by calling Mary from his car phone (overheard by Smooth on his car monitoring system) and saying he's running away with the money (he says in his safe) and that he's gone. Undoubtedly, Smooth ordered him killed. If Smooth's threats and monitoring are all part of a ruse, who is he fooling but the viewer only, since no one else is in the office or his car to be privvy to the supposed con job? I believe Silas is dead... But, I am willing to acknowledge even Bobby Ewing came back to life after an entire season gone. And that Bob Newhart awoke on the final day of his second TV show to find Suzanne Pleshette his wife, and that he imagined that he had been married to the actual woman from the second series.

14. "RE: Episode 1 Possible Hint & Clues Vidcaps" |
OK, some comments and questions on some of these caps that i haven't seen addressed yet.1. Mr. Smooth is spec'd to be in the background of 154-160 What about 164, note that in the background of the paper archive pic there is a man standing that isn't identified. (The "New Sherriff picture, the man i'm considering is the one on the far right) Also, look at 169, there is a man to the right of Vito and his wife, 170 there "could" be a man to the upper left of the woman there (it looks like a necktie, could be wrong). 2. Who is the Mr./Mrs. Scott that is murdered in 172-3, the Push Times article above the website mention? There were no witnesses and the murder likely remains unsolved. 3. In 168 (this is spec'd in other places likely) there is a mention of the mysterious tower. Could this be a reference to the mind-control aspect of things that many people are talking about? I remember another tv show that worked this angle once (can't remember which, figures) and they had to destroy the tower to make things better for everyone. Blast away!
