Please tell me I am not the only one watching this. It makes the Apprentice fashion challenge look like crap!Facinating premise with a Carson Daly/Yves St. Laurent character with even a name to match - Austin Scarlett. This show is facinating.. drama queens and emphasis on queens abound in the show where potential fashion designers rival for a contract to produce a line of clothing. First challenge was design an evening gown for $50 using only what you can find in a grocery store. The judges are actually legitimate - including Michael Kors and Patricia Fields from SATC. Even if you don't care about fashion the drama and strange creativity is actually interesting. And if that doesn't get you, Heidi Klum shows why breaking into acting won't be happening for her. The Teutonic Princess seems to even be reading her extemporaneous lines. But she still looks hot for a new mommy.

Yeah, I'm into it as well, which baffles a lot of people since I'm straight. Screw them. The first moment I saw him, I knew Austin had to be a good designer, because anyone who dresses like a lampshade HAS to be good. Kara's not bad either. Her stuff doesn't really look like stuff you'd wear on the street, but they make those models HOT! Nora's really good, too. Not really into the designs, just her. DAMN! On the flip side, what the hell is Starr still doing there? Her first design was crap, and tumors? Bruises, scars and amputated limbs, good. Tumors, bad. Wendy's a loser, too. --- Anyone up for a game of bridge? I'll be the troll...

Sundsay nights at 10 is the best time to catch repeats.Last week was "envy" and we saw the shower curtain moron go... meanwhile Austin just seems to be amazing with his vision, aided by his "yves" like glasses.. But Kara impresses me as she just seems to pull stuff out of her a22 and in a good way. Mumsy Wendy is total crap and is using the whole mumsy thing to either manipulate or whine her way.. her candy dress was crap. Her envy dress crap... whatever she does tonight...crap. Starr should go back to being an Attorney and go on the Apprentice, then when they have a clothing challenge she can "design" but otherwise forget it. Cannot wait to see tonights meltdown. Hello Everyone. I am a fan of the Project Runway show, and as of course, I am an aspiring Fashion Designer. I have three favorites in terms of personality and design sense Kara is my overall number one favorite (personality and design sense). And Jay in terms of design sense is my second favorite. My last favorite is the oh sooo emotional Austin LOL. Well, I am a fan of the show. Hope to see more post!!

Nora is young and actually talented. In some ways I think she subconciously "lost" the pattern. But her meltdown paled in comparision to Scarlett O'Austins. The one I still hate is mumsy, Wendy. She actually believes she deserves to win - not on any talent but on the ability to let others screw up. Megabi.tch. Of course you know who is suprising me is Jay. That guy's BR dress that looked like the Chrysler building was haute couture in the making and I loved his rock star outfit. He has talent but that fur capelet.. lose it along with the J-Ho scarf headresses. He reminds me of some sad Russian babuschka wandering along Brighton beach in her faded furs. Of course the gay bolero, Austin. I actually liked the outfit it was very Whatever Happened to Baby Jane not Alice in Wonderland. I didn't love it but I preferred it over the Cindy Lauper circa 1980's outfit that won! But nothing could top Austin's meltdown vs Nora's. Hands down the gay bolero over the punk rocker wins everytime. Right after Mr.Parson's-head of the Slayers said "act professional" Okay if you are professionally a drama queen which is ironic as that is the fashion industry. I am also looking forward to further Morgan meltdowns. She is nuts! Must be from lack of food, makes me cranky, imagine what its like to starve all the time. Of course I am beginning to see signs of the Apprentice with the bad dubbing of our Teutonic Princess and the message that if your honest - you're fired. Vanessa pulled a Bradford and buh bye. Apparently lying is the way to go on reality shows. Because when does a designer sew? Hello, they have little ladies called illegal aliens doing that! And if the outfit she was wearing last night was her design, that was hot!

I can't believe how much I love this show! I love seeing them go through the designing process and seeing the final product. They are all so talented.Jay cracks me up. He comes up with the best lines. He's really a good designer, too. What a crazy beotch that Morganza is. I hope she gets eliminated next week. Yay for Kara. She deserved to win. I think she might win it all. Austin is Austin. I can't imagine what kind of breakdown he would have had if he lost. That dress was hideous. Wonder what made them decide to keep him. I'm glad Nora is gone. She should have been out last week. Her dress was pretty blah.

What Vols said. I was relieved it was Nora, because Austin (while odd and petulant and yes, that dress was heinous) is fun to watch, and I do think he has talent. I'd be happy with either a Jay or a Kara win. Kara's very safe; Jay's more of a wildcard. All of them blow me away, actually, because if I look at thresd hard enough it breaks, and these people actually manage to whip out some pretty decent clothing in 48 hours. Morgan is attempting to steal this show and I am bored with her.

Since the time change my TIVO doesn't get it so I have to wait til Sunday's repeat. But this challenge blew my proverbial mind. The models have the brain cells of tiny kitties which may explain why they had those designers kitty whipped. Nora a 21 year old with a 16 year old didn't have a chance. Why is Wendy alive... why did she think that dress was great? Why do I care what she thinks about anything? Austin O'Scarlett has talent but each week his theatre designs are taking over and he is not thinking about practicality. He needs to lose the drama in everyway. KaraSaun is excellent and her nature is very easy. She will be sucessful with our without this show. But Babuschka Jay is growing on me. He is talented and his designs just get better. Morgan is a total idiot, she started with a whole Versace vibe but he somehow convinced her she wanted Calvin Klein with Helmut Newton. How he did that well it doesn't matter she wouldn't remember 5 minutes ago let alone what she told him to design. They also need to not show Robert in his underpants. That gut is very unbecoming for a hetero man looking for action. Each week I am more impressed with the designs, the challenges and the designers. If they keep any faux or created drama out I wouldn't care, just watching them create and make something out of nothing in no time is really all I need.

<watching them create and make something out of nothing in no time is really all I need.Same here. I'm fascinated by how they each bring about an entirely different creation, using the same guidelines. They need to sit up and take notice of the admonitions given by the pros. This week was a good example: "You must learn how to make the client happy without totally compromising your own style." Nora lost because she didn't heed that advice. Did you get a load of Austin's gown?! Dear heaven - that was a MESS! What a waste of $50/yd. fabric! I know what you mean about Wendy - she's quite smug. Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

I hope someone caught this weeks challenge.. the bathing suit/evening wear outfit. Brilliant challenge with 5 hours to make a swimsuit to wear to a club and see who gets in Richard Johnson's column...he's the editor of Page 6 in the NY Post.. the Bible of Gossip. The scene at the club where the vyed for the attention was hysterical. I particularly loved Austin O'Scarlett with his gay bolero dance technique while simultaneously pimping his 16 year old model. Richard Johnson was only restraining the leching due to the presence of the camera. JAYsus was bitchy as usual but once again his suit was hot...it was a tribute to bondage but the judges called in Gucci-esque. Hillarious as these suits barely covered anything even the models were concerned and they are naked half the time. Once again Mumsy Wendy makes it by... I can't figure this one out because when they edit them its so obviously heavily dubbed that you can't tell if they are telling the designer the real reason to their face - which may explain their subsequent breakdowns immediately thereafter or its just due to the fact that the Teutonic Temptress is unintelligible. Yet this series is still holding its own and next week they have to work as a group to do an entire collection and it looks like they gang up on Mumsy.. thank GOD!!!

<looks like they gang up on Mumsy...thank God!LOL! Tell us how you really feel about Wendy. Yes, she seems to think she's light years above the others' level of skill and maturity. She won't converse with them, let alone answer them when they're shopping and asking for opinions or confirmation of their choices. I don't like her either. I thought she would be Out last night, because her design was more of a disco dress than a swimsuit. I thought Alexandra's design fitted the challenge better. She shouldn't have admitted to using another designer as an inspiration. Wendy would have been gone. Hopefully the close call will create a sense of humility in Wendy. NOT! Next week will be a hoot and a half to watch. Jay and the drama queen O'Scarlett on the same team?! Fix the popcorn, pour the butter, grab a Coke and prepare for Meltdown Drama. Can't wait! I liked all the suits except for Kevin's and Wendy's. I too can't believe Wendy slipped by. Alexandra apparently did herself in by trying to copy other designers, but please, Wendy had no idea what she was doing. They need to kick Morganza on principle. She's turning out to be a huge handicap. Robert needs to keep his mouth shut regarding his sports car simile. No one was impressed. Jay kicked åss as usual though he was a little over the top a the bar and on the runway.

LAST EDITED ON 01-20-05 AT 02:05 PM (EST)Gotta disagree about Morgan. She's a walking disaster, but a fabulous one. She made even that weird weird "suit" look hot when she took it down the runway. I think she's a star. Austin is so fun too watch (he looked like a Jon Waters character by the end of last night's episode) but I'm all about Jay. Jay and Kara Sean. The 16-year-old is hot beyond her years and looked incredible in that suit; she's the reason Austin won the Page Six prize. Speaking of which...how SNARKY and GROTESQUE was Mr. Page Six? I'm sure Austin's nymphet is still sponging eyeball slime off her tush. His look of disappointment when he learned she was jail bait...ick ick ick. WTF wants to know the opinion of the "style editor" of EBAY? Still lvoe lvoe lvoe this show.

Kate Moss was no bundle of sobriety and joy, either...I just think Morganza owns the catwalk.I've never seen Ebay evince any sense of actual style before; I had no idea they had a fashion maven til last night. I was really hoping whatshisface's comment about women/cars would buy him a ticket home last night; he sucks. I kind of feel sorry for Wendy; maybe it's the call of one's demographic. I think she's the designated villain and editing is not helping. My guess is she goes far, though, so we can be rooting against her til the end. In fact, I'll predict final four: Jay, Austin, Kara (I think I am misspelling her name every time) and Wendy. Of course, my batting average with ANTM is about .013, so don't take my word for it.

It gives you a good idea of what designers have to put up with in a temperamental model. Of course, designers can be just as bad, I'm sure. If I was a designer on that show and Morgan had pulled that crap--being late, sobbing, throwing fits, almost ruining a design, giving Jay such a hard time with his design--and I had the chance to kick her off, I would sooooooo do it, catwalk or not.I agree with your top three. Not sure about the fourth. I think Kevin has a good chance. He's actually pretty good, just not last night. I go back and forth on Wendy. She's kind of an underdog and kind of a b¡tch. The "older woman with a kid from a small town" has me pulling for her in an American hero kind of way. Sick. I SOOOOO want to design frocks now.

Again, nuts is okay if you're a model. Think Janice Dickerson! Think Naomi Campbell! Think Gia! Kevin bores me. Too passive. His designs bore me. I was peeved he beat out Jay on the rock dress. I also think Kevin was OUT OF HIS MIND to let Morgan leave with the clothes. He's lucky they weren't horribly stained, as well as torn. I don't think Wendy's that great, I just think they will keep her til close to the end because she's The Nemises. It makes it sweeter when they get kicked to the curb if you let the villains flourish for awhile.

I just read this on Andy Denhart's site, Reality Blurred. Now ladies I will step back and let you all fight over him. As I prefer my men TOTALLY Gay!!!-------------------------------- One of the show's stars, if he's not the star, is 23-year-old Austin Scarlett. Despite his flamboyance (The Guardian called him "A cross between Quentin Crisp and a pipe cleaner," which just barely begins to describe it), Austin isn't gay. Well, not completely. "I've had girlfriends in the past. I think everyone always assumes that I'm completely gay, and I do identify myself with the gay community, but I don't know. I know this sounds very cliche, but I've never even considered that to be a real issue for me. I just am who I am," he told Time Out New York, according to blog Timmy Ray. Meanwhile, designer Kevin Johnn apparently has a profile on a web site for finding Russian brides. What this means, I have no idea. --------------------
I don't know why Kevin needs to advertise on website, can't he just ask Olga to hook him up? I think Robert also speaks Russian, or at least I thought I heard him speaking to Olga in Russian, maybe he could find him some chick.

Yeah, I can see the vibe of which you speak. However, I don't remember Andy swishing like Austin, but maybe he did in his younger days.
And why is that? BTW, there is some dispute about his age. A weblog by Brian Shellhammer claims he went to the Fashion Institute of Technology with Austin in 1996. That would have made Austin 15 or 16 at the time.

RangeRover - I thought you might get your fervent wish for Mumsy to return to her brood. I thought her design, as bad as it was, straggled ahead of Kevin's, but only by a hair (or should I say strand of yarn?). Yeah, she did get screwed by the rest of the team when they didn't land on Kevin's lack of leadership. BUT she was right. I just didn't like her holier than thou tone. Sara basically said the same kinds of things in the cutouts, but somehow she didn't sound as petty or bitter as Mumsy. Plus, she's incredibly talented. I think she will win. Of course Wendy feels like an outsider - she's deliberately placed herself in that position. Please tell me her strategy backfires, and she is not one of the final three. Pretty please? Well I certainly enjoyed the idea of a collection as it gives them the idea of what is upcoming.. btw in about 3 weeks in r/l.I never thought Kevin had any spine whatsoever so now he has time to go out and get that Russian wife he is seeking. But it was true his design was wrong and he didn't work hard enough to keep the cohesion necessary. This was no DT "you're fired" lack of logic. However, Cruella is getting that Omarosa edit.. but what is sad is they bait her. I love that Tom the Parson's Vampire Slayer Watcher asks her and then she tells him she wants to be politic and first up the Elle FD goes right to her.. HELLO!!! Obvious set up...and bang she falls for it...which puts her in opposition to everyone. She was so nasty with her put downs of "pseudo intellectual" crap and then turns around and does the same... she never thinks karma is a boomerang. I actually don't think she will get as far as fashion week.. no one really has ever liked her designs and they keep her for the drama but she won't get any further. I know Jay is Tom the Parson's slayer's favorite. He makes a point of commending him and cautioning him every week. Perhaps a new POWER COUPLE?

I agree that Wendy is being edited, with a heavy hand, to be the villain (although she's so patronizing and unattractive that she's making the cutting job easy). I was also in agreement with much of what she said, nor was I weepy to see Kevin go. "Passive" is no theme for a fashion show. But WHY are the judges so into Robert? They LIKED that outfit. Goes to show that I have absolutely no sense of high fashion, because I wouldn't let my cat puke on that thing. Kara Sean is terrific and sensible and may make this show boring if she keeps on being so competent. I will be shocked if it is not her, Jay, Austin and Wendy (so we have "evil" to root against) as the final four.

Not to defend Wendy, because I don't really like her, but her outfit was so much better than Robert's. Ginger, you are so right his outfit was the worst! I was sure he was gone last night because his designs are never good and are sometimes bad, and plus he is very, very dumb.Robert must go next. Kara Saun and Jay in finals. Austin vs. Wendy showdown for final slot. They used to be friends, now they are enemies! Drama! Of course I am no designer, etc, but I don't like anything Austin has designed. He brings the entertainment value, though. And Wendy is consistently mediocre.

59. "RE: Moganza...the story continues.." |
Well apparently editing cannot be blamed for Morgan's odd behavior. I just read this on Reality Blurred about some more of Morgan's antics...Saying that Project Runway has a "drama queen," singular, is a bit like saying Donald Trump has a dollar. Nevertheless, the Dallas Morning News headlines its piece on Morgan Quinn, one of the models, "Project Runway's drama queen." Morgan was eliminated on this week's episode (with very little drama, surprisingly, unless her post-elimination meltdown was edited out). But she continues to stay in the spotlight; the Morning News reports that a while ago, Morgan did a shoot for their magazine , and "she spent most of the day on her cellphone, only pausing to ask when she would be through." So, they "nicknamed her The Brat." Meanwhile, another Morgan meltdown made the news this week. Page Six reported that, after showing up late to a show because of a car accident, Morgan "walked off the set in tears, saying she'd suffered a concussion in the accident and felt 'dizzy.'" That dizziness cost her a couple grand. "Not only did Quinn lose her $8,000 payday, but Carlisle has slapped her with a $2,000 cancellation fee," the paper says. Morgan defends herself, saying, "I'm not Naomi Campbell, you know. I've had people say they don't wanna work with me after watching the show. It has hurt me. If it was a real job, I would have taken it more seriously -- but it was a reality show about people who had three hours to make dresses!" Despite the drama, she'll continue to walk, because as the Dallas Morning News says, "Her runway walk is the best on the show."

What is the deal with Mumsie's right eye? Looks like she's been in a fight and lost.Any thoughts on who marked on her daughter's pic? None of those left did it as they have to stay with her and live with the repurcussions and the fact that there had to fear of getting caught and eliminated as a result... so my vote is on Kevin.Okay, KaraSaun rocks. She hits a homerun every week. I was shocked no one came up with geniune easy..the cargo pant... could be shorts or pants and is practical. Robert was always hanging on but there was someone who just performed worse each time. Notice that Mr. TimParsonstheWatcherSlayer saved Wendy's as/s. He did that to keep the bi.tch in. Her meltdowns and rants are television gold. However she could not do a collection to save her life. But honestly Austin needs to reign it in or we may be seeing Wendy in the final three. Austin was too funny as a model..I love GayBabushka Jay he was worried that Austin would look like a drag queen and the judges actually thought he looked to BUTCH.... Hillarious. I would love to see the postal workers in Kara's outfit. It was HOT and not in a bad way.

The judges are soooo out to get Wendy. I wonder if they are trying to torture her by stringing her along, barely letting her make it each time. She better not make it to the final three though. She's seriously on the edge of sanity. Kara said it best when she said the Wendy who started isn't the Wendy they know now. I thought it was awful what someone did to her daughter's picture though. I think it was Kevin too. That would be too muchOK, I think Robert has fine booty. I couldn't believe they showed it as long as they did. Gave us a good look and that man is a fine piece of åss, even if the rest of him ain't so hot. It was time for him to go and he knew it. Kara Saun was flawless as ever. Wasn't hysterical when Jay was saying how perfect she was--could design an outfit with time left over, then feed the homeless and achieve world peace. I know he didn't say that exactly but that was the idea. Hilarious!! Jay just misses being first a lot but he is by far the most entertaining, adorable little (big) queer I've ever seen. Having Autin be his model was so brilliant and he even said, "That's the butchest you've ever looked." Did you see Austin in his postal outfit! He has skinnier stick legs than the models. He was hilarious. He rocked as a model though. His little blue riding hood outfit I didn't like. I don't like his style all that much.

<Austin I just don't see much talent in him. His designs are just way too dramatic and frou-frou for me. He rarely listens to the challenge or stops to figure out what is really wanted. He just envisions and runs with it. I do not think he deserves to win. Too bad the panel didn't just dump Wendy last night. Robert was bad, but so was Wendy. The only competition she could win is Most Frumpy. She's skated by each week only because someone else was a little worse. I predict the last two on the runway next week are Austin and Wendy. Hopefully, Wendy goes. The contest is between Sara and Jay, with Sara winning, I think. I can live with either, though I'd rather wear anything she designs than anything Jay does. Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

Great episode. I was in hysterics over Jay and Austin in postal ensemble. And I think Austin deserves a few snaps for modeling, successfully, Jay's creation. Mustache-gate? I agree that Kevin is the most likely suspect. Now, the Scenes From Next Week indicated we will see the "elimination we NEVER saw coming!" The only elimination I cannot see coming is Kara Sean. So who do you think is getting bounced next? If it were Kara, how could it happen? Does she actually barf on a judge or something? I thought -- for all the nasty editing and comments re her design - the powers that be did Wendy a FAVOR because whathisface who sort of plays yard duty when they're working on the clothes, you know who I mean, took Wendy aside and told her what was wrong and what should be fixed; she even changed to snappy red shoes based on this conversation. So I was pissed at what I perceived to be favoritism to keep the "villain" in the show. How smart is that little model who stuck up for Wendy's skort thingee? She really tries to sell whatever designer she's working for, and that's another reason for them to pick her til the end. (That, and the fact that she is really really beautiful). I still love Jay.

What's this you say about "the elimination you never saw coming?" TiVo must have cut that little tidbit off my program. All that means is that Wendy does, somehow, make the final 3. I would say Jay, Austen and Kara Saun could all be considered surprise eliminations, and no way will the ongoing judges allow Kara Saun to be eliminated before the finals. Even if she doesn't win, she will get to show her collection. I actually think Austen is the next to go, but that is probably my bias because his swimsuit was the only design I've liked. His post office was ok, futuristic awful. For sheer suspense in the finale, Kara Saun's ouster would throw everything up for grabs. Also, she does not bring drama, and Austen, Wendy and even Jay are all rather drama queens. This show is the bomb, but watch Runway 2 be a fiasco.

<think Austen is the next to goI'm afraid so, but only b/c Wendy is so awful and doesn't deserve to be in the F3. I don't care for Austin's frou frou designs, but they're better than Wendy's frumpy, non-imaginative ones. I also have to wonder if Banana Republic isn't coaching things from the background. Remember, Wendy won that competition. (Aw, c'mon - this series hasn't had a conspiracy theory yet, and this is as good as any.) I'd hate to have to work with either Wendy or Austin, but she might be a better fit for BR. Austin's designs would always have a touch of Neverland to them, whereas Wendy can grasp the idea behind a challenge. She can't produce a decent design, but she does grasp the concept. Austin cannot. Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

<If you've been following Bravo's "Project Runway," you know the three remaining finalists are geared up to show their designs to Heidi Klum, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia. The show will be taped tomorrow morning to air as a two-hour special at 9 p.m. Feb. 23. http://www.nynewsday.com/entertainment/custom/fashion/fashionshows/nyc-fash0203,0,6350438.story?coll=nyc-ent-topheadlines-left
And this one, which reveals one of the models that remains: "Project Runway": Here's a local angle. Model Melissa Haro, 17, (a Melania Trump ringer) from San Jose, was still in the running at press time. She was in San Francisco last week, having new pictures taken at Look Model Agency, and of course is contractually required to remain mum about who won. Well, we're rooting for her anyway. The toughest part for her? "I was only 16 when the filming started -- I was the youngest model on the show -- so it took a while to prove to the designers that I could do a good job," she said last week. In the most recent episode, designers were asked to make a bathing suit/club outfit in five hours. Haro wore a body-hugging, Esther Williams- style bathing suit made by the ultra-thin, flamboyant Austin Scarlett. "The suit was extremely small in the crotch area, and it was actually painful to wear it all night," Haro says. "I had to walk around with my legs crossed even when I was standing up." http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2005/01/30/LVGIDAUH9S1.DTL Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

I think Austin goes... given the previews. I have this wierd feeling that they want Wendy to crash and burn and permanently put her out of her misery and squash any ambition or delusions she may have. I just see her there in the final three rambling, smirking and grimacing through the entire show. By the way...the finale is two hours in length.I just found this post on another board.. NEW YORK -– February 2, 2005 -– Due to the overwhelming success and popularity of "Project Runway," Bravo's newest hit series hosted by Heidi Klum, a special episode has been added to the schedule and will air on Wednesday, February 16 at 9:00 p.m. In addition, the season finale of the search for the next great designer, will air on Wednesday, February 23 and has been extended to two hours (9:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.). The announcement was made today by Lauren Zalaznick, President of Bravo. "In the series' first seven episodes, 'Project Runway' has continued to generate great buzz," said Zalaznick. "By extending the run of this high quality, high drama, highly addictive series, we hope to give viewers more of what they have been enjoying so far." On Wednesday, February 16 (9:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.), viewers will have an opportunity to see some of the amusing and sensational moments from the previous challenges that did not make it into the preceding shows. The episode will also feature new interviews with the contestants and judges reacting to their experiences during the course of the challenges, as well as their personal reactions as they watch the series on television. Contestants will share their thoughts on how the series has also impacted their careers and lives. On Wednesday, February 23 (9:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.), the final three contestants will face-off in a runway show in New York Fashion Week. Each contestant will present their line before the judges, the media, and an audience of industry luminaries. At the end, the winner of "Project Runway" will be crowned. The winner's designs will be photographed for ELLE by the magazine's world-renowned Publication Director, Gilles Bensimon. The winning designer will also receive $100,000 in seed money to help them launch their own line and a mentorship from the Banana Republic Design Team. "Project Runway" continues to grow in the ratings and has recently helped Bravo achieve its highest ratings on a Wednesday in the history of the network.

<KaraSaun and Jay really rock it.I'm not as big a fan of Jay, though I can see his fashion sense in all he does. His designs just don't appeal to me. KaraSaun, however, I like and would consider wearing if I had the figure, cash, and occasion to do so. I hope she wins. That buckle dress of Wendy's? Blech! And Austin's Civil War/Can Can creation is just silly. So, who's going to apply for the next season? They're having casting calls now. Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

Okay I just read this on reality blurred..Jay McCarroll, Wendy Pepper, Austin Scarlett and Kara Saun, Project Runway's four finalists, all appeared on the runway at Fashion Week this past Friday. However, one of those people has already been eliminated from the show, which taped earlier. That elimination episode airs Wednesday, but "Klum didn't want the media to be the spoiler for next week's episode," the AP reports, so all four showed their work. The AP gives a run-down of each finalist's collection, so don't read if you want to be surprised. Jay's work "seemed to be the favorite of fashion fans in the audience," the AP says, and Queer Eye's Carson Kressley confirmed that. "I hate to pick favorites, but Jay's collection was far and away the best. A fashion show is all about point of view. ... His show told a story." -------------------------------------------- But I read that Jay already has a job with a major fashion line... and I doubt its the Banana. He is so NOT the Banana so I am guessing its he who goes. Frankly Wendy is the type of "designer" they like at BR. They copy more trendy and expensive design lines and reproduce them so its not about originality or imagination and more about replication. Which she excels at!!! Jay is more Galliano, Lacroix - out there couture with design and flair that isn't for the masses. Kara Saun is a Donna Karan. She is aware of women's bodies and fit.. practicality. Austin.. of course he is more like Alexander McQUEEN!!!

I live in New York and the newspaper reported today that the show didnt want a spoiler leak about who leaves the show this week, so they had all four finalists show their lines at the runway show at the Bryant Park tent in NY on Monday. That is why you may have seen photos of all four on some websites. But in actuality one of the four had already been eliminated.

Someone please tell me why Wendy is in the final three? Whats the deal with this? There are sooo many people in the fashion industry that are the judges of this show, and they have not one bit of sense to realize that Wendy should have been long gone? I am starting to think that these fashion industry judges should not even be in this industry. They have no sense, and WENDY NEEDS TO GO!! I cannot stand her... But on the other hand, since they do not want anyone to know this and that, because of some type of spoiled thing yadda, yadda, ya... Could this be the reason why Wendy is in the final three? To throw the public off? And I have also noticed how Heidi never says anything? Why is she even the host of this show?

Wendy is unfortunately there because she causes tension. Not that the others didn't, but Kara, Jay & Austin were getting along too well, it wouldn't make for a tension filled ending that producers like, but you put Wendy in the mix, who no one can stand anymore (including myself, I mean does she think she's related to God or something?) and you've got a nice tense show at the end. I'm not saying it was rigged, I don't think that, but producers have that type of thing in mind. So, now, I don't care who wins as long as its not Wendy. I don't think she will, a whole line? Shes too hit and miss. I'm going for Kara hopefully, though I Love Jay too.

Wendy is the villain and makes for good television as the person we love to hate. And, she comes through when you least expect it. I liked hers as well except for the feathers and being all one color. Austin doesn't listen, just like Michael Kors said. When he was picking out his fabric all I could think was, "Here we go again. Austin, weren't you listening? That's not what Nancy wants." He showed last night that what matters is what he wants, the client be damned. He has the wrong attitude, IMO. I liked Jay's, no matter what anyone else said. Wendy's top would have gone well with Jay's skirt if the colors matched. I liked Kara's except the pants just weren't right. It seemed liked they didn't get enough information when they interveiwed Nancy. She doesn't like beads or sequins. Well, it's all done and Wendy is still there. What a downer. I can't wait for next weeks show to hear what everyone has to say. Moves courtesy of Syren

Its repeated on the weekend, check the listings. And usually right before the current episode for the following week. So Wed at 8...Actually for me Jay makes the show and Austin. Jay is so uncensored and funny and talented. I love when he swishes through the workroom, makes announcements has mini meltdowns and the viola it all works out. Wendy reminds me too much of an opposing attorney I dealt with who had the exact same twitches, grimaces and facial expressions. His personality was also grating and many of us thought "oh this is just a wind up" Uh no. He is on medication for something - although no one would reveal for what. At this point Wendy is no longer needed for entertainment value because it should be focusing on the line, the fashion show and seeing her freak attack will just distract I believe from the show and Jay and what should of been Austin's hillarious Drama Queen showdown will now not come to fruition. Boo hoo... I just loved when Austin went, "I was born Austin Scarlett" oh beyatch please..no way were you born with that name. He like his designs are just so over the top. But is it me or is the Teutontic Temptress dubbed voiceovers becoming more predominant? And next week she just comes out all bi.tchy and demands answers. You go girl!! AUF!!!

PR repeats on Sundays, I am not sure what state you are in, but here in New York City, its somewhere I think at 12:30pm I am not too sure. I usually check it on my DTV.Anyhow, Kara has always been my favorite. And she still is. Then it was Jay and Austin who were after her. Kara could have lost the pants, and just because someone has about two good designs, does not mean they deserve to make it to fashion week in this competition. However by looking at the previews for the next episode, it kind of seemed like the producers etc... had this entire thing planned out right from the start. They wanted to chose Witchy Wendy, to see how the public would act, and so that when all the contestants confronted eachother, there would be some type of tension and heat. Austin from the beginning was designing Haute Couture, and he should go into that field. I always felt he was not really Ready to Wear, but Haute Couture. You could tell just by looking at his line on Getty Images. They show pictures there of each of their lines. Austin gets to show his collection at fashion week too. He should go into that field it will be really good for him. Jays top was kind of ILK LOL... But hes my second favorite tied with Austin.

LAST EDITED ON 02-10-05 AT 04:19 PM (EST)ETA I started a new "Runway" thresd so we can start afresh; this one's pretty long. I have to agree with ToddE that Wendy's dress, unfortunately, was the best from last night, given the assignment. But we KNEW Wendy would be in the final three. I'm just relieved Austin got bounced and not Jay. I love Jay. Kara Sean is safe and more consistent, and if she wins, I'll be okay with that, but my heart belongs to the guy with the scarf. Wonder what the judges would have thought of his bodice, had he not altered it pending the advice of his friends? Also, had to feel kind of sorry for Robert, working on all the finalist's stuff and then sitting alone, backstage, eliminated from the competition.
