Between Jack Bauer, Lost and Project Runway Canada 2 it is going to be a hibernation month. Yippee! So glad Iman is back. She brings the cred. Wonder why Ottawa? Ottawa in January...brrrr.

6. "Episode One"
They lost 2 designers on the first day to medical reasons. Maybe they should give them all stress tests before they pick the contestants. The stress brought out problems in both of them.

I laughed when Iman compared the one design to Ziggy Stardust.

I agreed with the designer they sent home. When the model walked down the runway the dress was bunching up in the crotch in a very unflattering way.

Looks like it will be a fun season.

I read that Biddel from last season knows Kim from way back. He said the contestants this season should watch out for her because she will eat them up.

I really wonder why they are in Ottawa. I don't think of Ottawa as a fashion hub....maybe I'm wrong. Isn't their workspace goregeous. Anyone know where that is?

Sad to see two go so early. The big guy was obviously struggling from the get-go, but apparently had loads of talent. Sad.

Loved the top two. There were really only three that I liked in the whole runway show. The designers seem a little pretentious this year. Like they have to have an image, even if it seems so manufactured.

So glad Iman and Brian Bailey are back. Like the judges too.

Oh there was so much wrong lastnight. They could have easily sent more than one home lastnight. Last week's winner really took a fall. She didn't care what Elisha Cuthbert wanted. She just wanted to do something crazy. She felt safe with immunity. But the judges will remember that attitude if she screws up next week when she isn't safe. And I thought her dress was awful.

I liked Sunny's the best. He came in 2nd.

The bottom 2 were both awful. I believe the guy stayed just because he brings more drama. Why he made it so short I will never understand. And the loser's dress was so tacky and sleazy. Ewww! They both dressed Elisha in a way she would never be seen in public. Why she told Brian she knew how to sew stretchy material I don't know. Because she obviously didn't.

Sunny is definitely the front-runner. Both weeks his dress was 2nd, but it could have just as easily been first.

If they hadn't already lost two players to illness, I would have def sent two home this week. They were soooo awful!

I think they made the right decisions tonight. Sunny and Baylor were definitely the winners. Sunny is truly in a class by himself.

Christie was annoying me so badly I am glad she is gone. She blamed everything and everyone for her problems. Then she would quickly follow it up by saying she took full responsibility. But she didn't. She picked her own partner and then complained about working with him. She blamed Brian when he tried to help. Oh she pretty much blamed the air she inhaled. I had enough of her. She just was not ready for this.

I hope that Sunny is not going to get the Michael Knight edit. He has been second twice and one twice. He is without a doubt the front-runner.

I am not crazy about these contestants. White gangster girl is annoying as hell. Crazy bug-eyed girl freaks me out.

Just glad that Brandon is gone. Couldn't take much more of him. Puhleese....how can you call yourself a designer and not know who Yves Saint Laurent was. He couldn't even say his name...because he didn't even know what YSL stood for!!!!!!

Baylor is gone. At first I thought he might be one of the finalists. But he hasn't impressed me the last couple weeks. I can understand them sending him home over Kim. He had the best material to work with. Yet he still did not do a good job. Kim's was horrid. She did not have alot to work with either. But she came off as desperate to do something.

I have to agree with the designers that Jeff is usually pretty boring. He has not Wowed me yet.

Interesting that Sunny is getting scared of winning too often.

I initially thought that Baylor would be one of the finalists as well. I still do think he is more talented than some of the people still there, but oh well. His dress would have looked okay on a size 0 model....

Jeff's dress was quite nice, but he absolutely could have done the shorts and halter top that his client wanted. He did not listen to her one little bit!

Kim is annoying, but I guess she's not alone on her feelings for Jeff. Quite a few of the designers were chiming in.

Jeff is finally gone. He really lasted longer than he deserved to. And at least he got shamed into admitting he drew on the stitches.

Kim did better this week. I again liked Sunny's the best. But I don't think they wanted to give it to him again and that is why they went with the female instead. And I think he was happy too. Sunny was getting worried about winning too often.

Both Jessica's and Sunny's dresses were stunning. I am in awe.

What in the heck was Jeff thinking? A reversible dress!?! Most of us sweat persprire umm glow so wearing the dress once or twice would guarantee you couldn't reverse it. I am so glad he is gone. The show should save on their glue budget.

If you are going to make a reversible dress maybe you could do something different on the other side?!?! WTF! "Hey I am going to change out of my white day dress with cough.stitching.cough into a white day dress with stitching a blue glued-on squares." Unbelievable.

I think the judges made the right choice. Sunny's dress was beautiful, but I think that Jessica's will sell better. I want to go and try one on!

I like Genvieve's designs, but man....I can't look at her bugged-out eyes much longer. <shudder>

I was saddened by this elimination. Yes Jason's dress was not up to par, but they were working with Post-It's for heaven's sakes. I guess that will be a double edged sword -- the unfairness (he'll feel) that he was eliminated because of a paper challenge and the pride that when he was dealing with cloth material, his creations held their own.

I checked out the website last night. Jessica's dress was bought by Post It notes for $10 000, Sunny's dress had an opening bid of $100 and the rest hadn't been bid on yet.

Sunny's is up to $185 and Bug-Eyes is at $100. I would be tempted to bid....except for the fact that they are made out of PAPER and cannot be worn. Am I the only one who thinks this is an odd auction?!?!

Last year when the had the auction, they were real items of clothing!!!

That was strange. Not sure how I feel about this. I guess it depends who you are fans of. Was it fair, or wasn't it? I think they wanted to get Kim out and they also thought Sunny and Jessica had the best designs. So they made it a tie between the 2 teams so they could accomplish both. I thought they had said that the past contestants had to clearly win and beat everyone else. I don't call a tie beating everyone. Ade sort of took the fall for being partnered with Kim. Although I did not really like Ade's outfit anyway. Kim was never going to win. I still think Sunny and Jessica are the 2 strongest designers. It seemed like the show started to regret who they had in the top 4 so they did this twist.

38. "Episode 10"
I believe the right 3 moved on lastnight. Gen really did a dreadful job of matching up her seams on that suit. And it did not drape nice. They were right that it was the wrong fabric. I really liked the fabric Sunny used. And were we ever in doubt he would make the final? I did not think Jessica's was that great either. The closeup of her jacket bothered me. I wonder if Brian should really be quite that helpful. He really helped Jason and I understand the others being upset. Sometimes I think Brian mentors a little too much. But at least he doesn't get to be a judge too like on UK's Project Catwalk. That is really unfair.

I find Brian to be a good mentor. He didn't tell Jason what to do, just that his first jacket was awful. I still think his first jacket was better than Gen's.

I wonder what the mean girls will be saying about this final 3. Can you imagine the catty comments? Wonder if there is a decoy designer in Canada like there is in the US. Bet Gen would do a great show if she just did her own thing.

OK, I didn't watch the US version and this is my first time watching the Canadian. So you are saying that one of them might be a plant? Like Sunny? What would the purpose be -- would they try to raise to bar higher? I am not sure I like this idea.

No...they don't plant a fake designer, but in the US version they do have extra designers do a collection so that people who see the runway shows don't know who the final three are. Although the fake finalists don't get a chance for the $$, they do get to show a collection during fashion week...which is a great opportunity. I think they had at least two other desingers show a collection in the last US version.

44. "The Final 3 - Pt 1"
This ep was about the final 3 going home and doing their collections. We got to see Brian visit them at home. Then they all come back 6 months later and pick their models. And SURPRISE. They have to make an outfit for Cheryl Hickey of ET Canada and add it to their collection. They draw names and are each given an ousted designer to help them. Jessica of course gets her enemy Kim. But they seem to have made peace. Sunny has Jeff. And Jason has Brandon. We get the dramatic ending with Brian questioning whether Jason is stealing Brandon's idea for his dress.

Next week is the fashion show and Finale.

Sunny is really reminding me of Jasper. He was the Canadian that won Project Catwalk in the UK. They even have similar stories about their families not appreciating them.

I feel a little badly for Jason. I really felt that his motives were to include Brandon's vision in the dress. I don't think he was trying to steal the design or anything.

I agree that Sunny is like Jasper. Wonder where Jasper is now?

50. "Finale "
Was there ever any doubt Sunny was going to win this thing?

I thought Jason's were pretty dreadful considering some of the skirts were so tight the model's couldn't take astride more than 12 inches long.

I loved some of Jessica's pieces. I hope the show gives her the exposure she needs.

And I wasn't impressed with the dress Vidal(?) stuck Iman in. I thought she looked kind of frumpy in the boobage area.

The judges didn't even try to hide the fact Sunny was the winner. This was the most unsurprising finale this show (in all countries) has ever had. They couldn't find anything bad to say to cause any suspense. They also did not bother to point out who was 2nd or 3rd. It was pretty obvious that Jason came in last of the final 3. But they just went right to announcing Sunny the winner.

I enjoyed seeing Biddel again. I always liked him in Season One. I hope they continue this and have Sunny back to judge the finale for next season.

Sunny, Sunny, Sunny

The guy seriously could have won every single challenge. He was that much better than the competition. I was just worried that he would pull a Michael Knight (Season 3, US) or Daniel Vosovic (Season 2, US) who both were clear front runners and then produced bleh shows. Sunny's show was fabulous!

I was a little disappointed with Biddell's dress for Iman too. The consturction and weaving looked a-Mazing but the bodice did not fit her well. Notice how she had her hair covering it up?

Even though it was predictable, hope it comes back again.

BTW, does Cheryl Hickey automatically wear Sunny's dress now?

Cheryl Hickey might be attractive. But she is a terrible runway model. She looked uncomfortable.

I have no idea if she has to wear Sunny's dress somewhere or if the whole thing was really just for the runway show.

I didn't really pay attention to Biddel's dress for Iman. So it obviously didn't WOW me.

Jessica was starting to cry too much and get on my nerves. Also Brandon was certainly a troublemaker. He brings stuff up about the skirt and then acts all shocked about it later.
