4. "Outcome" |
What happened in this litigation?1) Magical Elves, the company that produced Project Runway, was retained by Bravo and developed and filmed a competing show, The Fashion Show, which is set in NY (as Runway used to be) and will debut at the start of May. 2) Project Runway 6 can't debut on Lifetime until AFTER the end of the season at the end of May. It has the same cast, but it will have different producers and be set in L.A., where Tim Gunn will be as much of an outsider as he was an insider at Parsons School of Design. 3) Instead of making a huge glob of money and pulling a fast one on NBC, Harvey Weinstein will end up having to pay NBC money. And to think, if he'd just filmed the fifth season for a fall airing, as he was supposed to, he wouldn't have had to pay NBC anything, and Bravo wouldn't be debuting its new show prior to the return of Runway. Give Harvey credit for killing the goose that laid the golden egg.
