Oooh...I can't wait for the second set of families to switch moms, but this time I think the difference between the two families is that one is picture perfect and gets along in harmony and the other family looks like they hate each other deep down. Hopefully this time we have some real tension or some serious arguments.

And it looks like the 'bad' mommy is from the family that is economically disadvantaged. Glad to see this isn't going to turn into a class warfare show.

Yeah, it's a train wreck but I'm getting a front row seat.

She was awful last night... I agree with the little girl, she was rude.

This actually plays into one of my little pet theories about different attitudes in different regions of the country. Having grown up in NY, many people think NYers are rude and mean - IMHO they are just honest and blunt. It absolutely comes across as rude, but generally people don't have (or don't make) time for soft-selling niceties. Contrast that with the south where (and I am over-generalizing to make a point) people are always 'sweet as pie'....to your face. They'd rarely honestly tell you something to your face, they would much rather talk about it behind your back with their friends. In the midwest you tend to get a perfect mix of honesty and kindness and I've yet to develop any kind of theory on the rest.

So, bringing it back to the show. Lisa was not TRYING to be rude (although she is definitely lacking in 'refinement'), she was just honestly assessing what she saw in the family. And I think to a large extent she may be right. While her family constantly argues, gripes and teases - in the end I really felt like they loved each other. The Pilek's seem to be a family corporation, more involved in running from place to place than actually being a family.
