I was so happy Derrick won the guantlet tonight and beat Brad. It was a nice surprise. The spoilers I read said he'd go up against Timmy and Timmy would win. I've been a fan of Derrick's and could never stand Brad from his San Diego days.

Was Mark exempt? I didn't hear them say, but he wasn't one mentioned as going to the gauntlet.

The show was also refreshing not having to hear Beth's witchy giggle or everyone else complain about her.

Now it looks like Kina has another temper tantrum next week. What happened to her? I really liked her on RR.

Mark wasn't exempt from being voted into the Guantlet it was Randy, because he had to sit out due to the fact that the rookies had one more member than the veterans.

I really thought it was funny that the rookies put on such sullen faces when the veterans walked by them to do the challenge. Boy didn't the veterans think they had it in the bag, this wouldn't be the first time they counted their chickens before they hatched. Personally, I think the rookies really work well together and are more encouraging towards their team mates. The veterans always seem to get so hot headed whenever the littlest thing goes wrong rather than to continue team morale by being encouraging.

When I saw that the veteran guys would be going in the gauntlet I knew it would be Brad who would be going. Mark, Timmy and David all have an alliance plus a friendship so they will do their best to take each other to the end and the girls on their team are more than willing to go their way on things. I too am glad to see that Derrick stayed. He's been team captain since the second challenge and he has definately proven his value as a team mate and captain so he deserves to be there till the end. I was also glad to see Brad go because he is just such a meathead. I don't know how many more of Brad's confessionals I could sit through where he widens his eyes and talks in his "macho" voice.

As far as the Jody and Alton thing...... well no surprise there.

Yeah you're right. I knew Randy was exempt because his team has more people, but for some stupid reason thought someone was exempt on both team. But what got me confused is I thought someone, maybe Derrick, was saying the ones he could be up against and don't think Mark was even mentioned. Is it just a given that nobody nominates Mark?

The spoiler had me convinced Timmy would go up against Derrick. That's what I get for listening to spoilers. But before the vote I was wondering why they wouldn't vote for Brad since all the other guys were old timers. Brad felt he got screwed over the last night when the oldies picked him to leave and figured they'd do it again.

Yes, Brad is a meathead.

Derrick has earned his right to stick around until the end. Many times we've heard his team say he was a good leader. For such a little guy he gives it all he's got.

This series has been relatively fight free. They probably had drunken fights, but we didn't get to see them since so much of the show has been about Beth.

Yeah, I think last night was more about popularity and friendship as far as voting was concerned. Mark probably won't get votes so in a way your kind of right he's exempt....lol.

I too have been surprised at the lack of fighting. I guess they picked all the people who are friends outside the game and maybe that's why there has been little fighting. I'm glad that we don't have to listen to any more whinning about Beth.

Mark wasn't exempt, but Derrick did not mention his name because it was just obvious that he wasn't an option. I actually liked Brad and I think he is a good team player and great asset. I thought the Gauntlet would be a closer fight than it was. Derrick has really proven himself to be a great team captain. I didn't want to see either of them go.

The rookies did pull off a good show. This is the 2nd time the Veterans thougth they won when they didn't. I don't think it is fair that Randy is always exempt on the Rookies turn. That just helps keep him there for Kina.
