"Fair Lady, Noble Man"(I)
On rocky shore of green isle,
Tides ebb and fall with time,
Below castle keep's dark precipice,
Waves crash merciless on cold stone.
High up in her dark abode,
Solitary in moon's pale glow,
Our fair lady weeps in sorrow,
Having no hope for tomorrow.
Her heart taken by man of desire,
Her love spurned by man of whim,
Her spirit broken by man of guile,
She is but a ghost in haunted halls.
Oh, fair lady,
Wasting away your being,
Oh, fair lady,
Who may free thy soul?
(II)
Across umber fields of harvest,
Grasses bow to winds of time,
At foot of castle keep's locked doors,
Sands collect silent in neglect.
High up on proud white steed,
Solitary on his sacred quest,
A noble man rides hither,
From lands afar and days away.
His heart one of courage,
His love one of compassion,
His spirit one of bliss,
He is but a man on mission.
Oh, noble man,
Seeking our fair lady,
Oh, noble man,
Wilt thou free her soul?
(III)
In corridors of empty halls,
Candles flicker in light of hope,
Echoes bound off silent walls,
As new visitor comes in presence.
Her swept up into his arms,
Together passing through doors,
Our fair lady and noble man,
Make certain her escape.
Their heart one of gladness,
Their love one of hope,
Their spirit one of unity,
They are but a pair in destiny.
Oh, fair lady,
Oh, noble man,
Oh, newfound pair,
Let ye join thy souls.
Dedicated to a very special friend of mine.
