Nothing really phenomenal happened, just thought it'd make the beginning of this week's results thread more interesting However, we did have several high scores, and several players made it to the second step of their pyramids in the Pyramid Climb Bonus Let me get to the Weekly Awards Ceremony... BTW - The "Highest Scorer" means the person furthest away from zero. Let's say someone got +26 but a RedInker got -28, the RedInker is the Highest Scorer. The Lowest Scorer is the same thing...a regular player gets 1 and so does a RedInker, the RedInker is the Lowest Scorer. Make sense? I hope so This week, our HIGHEST SCORER was...Ontheroadagain, last season's leader for the first few weeks, with a fantastic 32 points! Our LOWEST SCORER, on the other hand, was Mo0 with a score of -7. The BIGGEST JUMPER was whoami, with at ten-spot jump. Well done. On the flip-side of the coin, the BIGGEST PLUNGE came from Scarlett O Hara, who had a ten-spot drop and actually "swapped" ranks with whoami. Interesting, n'est-ce pas? ---LEADERBOARD--- 1. If you know the real star, do not say anything, leave "Morgan" in the questions Scoring Question 1- 10 for ±0, 8 for ±1, 5 for ±2, 3 for ±3, 2 for ±4, 1 for ±5||Question 2- 20 if you have it right on, 15 points minus half a point for every word under you are, nothing if you go over||Question 3- 5 points for ±0, 3 for ±1, 1 for ±2||Question 4- (-1) point for every challenge you say they'll win that they don't. No points for saying that won't win a challenge that they do. Superbonus For BONUS questions, you may choose to do the "Superbonus"- place a 'SB(x2)' or 'SB(x3)' next to the question, your choice. If you answer a question incorrectly and you've gone for the superbonus, you get either a (-4) or a (-6) for getting it wrong, (-6) for choosing the x2 and (-8) for choosing the x3. By choosing the x2, you get 6 points for every bonus you answer correctly, and in choosing the x3, you get 8 points for every one you answer incorrectly, but keep the penalties in mind. Tokens Each player is alotted 2 tokens at the beginning of the game. If you use a token, you move everybody else's score closer to zero by one point, while you gain however many points you adjusted in total. By Climbing your Pyramid (see next section), you can earn yourself more tokens. Climbing the Pyramid For every 15 points you get (disincluding points received from using your token), you climb one step on your pyramid, which has three steps to get to the top. Any points "left over" after the 15 go towards your next step. If, however, you have 10 or more points left over, you will climb two steps instead. If you climb two steps because of this, you do not get the left over from the left over towards your third step-you must begin the third step at zero. Once you complete the third step, you receive one more token. You then start again at Step 1 with zero points.   Top
