"Survivor "Hotness" Challenge: Female Edition" |
Well, here's a different game from all the others. The Survivor Hotness Challenge is based purely on looks alone. This game will decide (hopefully) who is the "official", although it's actually highly unofficial :p, best-looking Survivor male as well as Survivor female of all time.Before I begin, let me say this- PLEASE do NOT think along the lines of "Jerri was hot but she was such a #####. I'm not voting for her", just think if you had no idea what their personality was like...who looks the best? This is how eliminations work: Every three days, another cut is made. There are 8 cuts, meaning this game takes 24 days to complete. We start off with all 75 of the gender on the list. From there, you must choose only 25 and put them in your post. The title should be "Cut 1", "Cut 2", etc. Once 25 have been selected, it will be narrowed down to 15. Here's how the whole thing goes: 75 --> 25
25 --> 15
15 --> 12
12 --> 8
8 --> 4
4 --> 3
3 --> 2
2 --> 1 So there you go. This is the Female Edition, since I don't want the amount of a certain gender here at the boards to affect whether a guy or girl wins, so I'm doing them separately. I was going to put Janu in my top 25, but...she didn't really look that great when she was in the game. Outside of the game, though, she would definitely be on my list. Her hair is awesome. The main reason she didn't go on my list is b/c I figured that if I put her on, it would be moreso b/c I liked her rather than how she looks.

If you look at Das's original cut, Das noted that the posted list was wrong. Das also indicated that my vote would have made a difference in Ami sticking around. So, just as in Florida, every vote gets counted. I'm not trying to run someone's game. I was just caught in a pickle, and I was polite about it. Please don't quit just because of something like this. I didn't. Send Das a PM and explain your point. Or if it is something we all would benefit from, then post it here. And like Colleen would say, "Play fair. Be nice."

She was gonna be in my final four. I was torn however because I wanted Ami back in the game but not at the expense of someone else. Which is why I wasn't one of the four to agree to let John make the elimination pick. Why reward a mistake that most everyone else had noticed? If someone messes up their entry into a season game and not these off-season who do ya love most games, then that entry would have stood unless you edited in time. In my subject heading in post #43 I said "don't forget Ami and Sarah", as did a few others mention the missing contestants from the list in their post. I do have a solution! How about adding/counting a write in vote? This would allow for personal favorites who are out of the game to have a shot of getting back in. Say if 33% or more of entries have the same write in vote, then that person would be added to the list and have a shot of making it into the next round. Just an idea. Either way, I'll play until the end and have fun doing so, but will be mumbling in the corner about the way lovely Gina went out.

I understand some people aren't happy with the fact that Gina isn't in the Top 12, but the fact is that it was that one vote that John had that made the difference. What if John had put Ami in his original list? Would it have been as big a deal? No. Would anyone have cared as much? No. If I had caught it in time, I would've told John to edit his post before I tallied the final results, and if that had been the case, nobody would have known, so I don't see what's any different than that and the current situation, except the timing of it all.And not to say that this was for certain or to discredit Gina, but she barely managed to scrape by every week, so...I don't know how much farther she could've gone. I know that doesn't really matter and that may not be what you care about, but I'm just stating the facts. I would put Gina back in, but I don't want to botch things up even more or anything, so...sorry. And I didn't want to tell John "too bad, you should've seen that I missed Ami and Sarah, everyone else did" or something like that, either. Basically, this whole thing, in my opinion, has evolved from a combination of bad decisions and errors on my part, but...what happened happened, and that's that. I'm human, I make mistakes, and some of them get corrected a bit too late, but as they say, "better late than never". *Shrug* Sorry to the Gina fans, but...I don't know what else I can do. This was meant to be a fun game that was different from the other games, that had nothing to do with knowledge or who played the better game. Anyway, that's all. It is supposed to be purely on looks, but it is really hard not to think back to the person behind the looks. Most people liked Stephenie's personality, and she is certainly cute, and but I really don't think on pure looks alone she would make the final 8 of all of the Survivors ever. I guess this is all proof that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

We are comparing Stephenie from about a month ago with our memory (or lack thereof as KO's trivia game is showing!) with people from a few years ago. Some people lasted long on the show (so made more of an impression) and others didn't. If Gina had lasted longer she would probably have more votes in this game. And to complicate it there is the in-season competition. Colleen is cute, but had little competition in season 1. Next to Susan Hawk, Colleen became a babe in our minds. Some even improved their rank after Survivor - Amber became much hotter after Survivor - certainly the Maxim spread helped that. Maybe when the elimination game is over we will just have a straight vote for the #1 babe/hunk. Then you can vote for Gina, and I might vote for Leann.

Stephenie LaGrossaDolly and Jenn were easy for me to take out, but...that last one was hard, but I had to take out Colleen, who is one of my all-time faves. Yeah, in regards to Colleen, I just bought Survivor: Borneo on DVD a week or two ago, and I watched the finale with the commentary on, it was Jeff Probst, Richard, Rudy, and Gervase, and when Colleen went to ask her jury questions, Jeff Probst goes "Oh wait, quiet down, guys" or something like that. It was hilarious. I do think Colleen is very cute, I mean, she looked great when she was in "The Animal" with Rob Schneider, but then again...this is the Hotness Contest. I was going to put her in my final four, but I figured it might've been moreso because I liked her rather than her looks. *Shrug*

Not sure what you mean, Lasann. Elisabeth, who won, didn't seem to be really blonde (although she has gone really blonde on The View), and in fact of the final four, only Jenn seemed to be mostly blonde (are there any real blondes??). Julie and Steph, the other F4, were both brunettes.
Now, maybe the blondes had more fun on Survivor, but that is a different matter.
