Spoiler Warning: It's that time of the week again! That's right, time to make our lists. But, if you haven't seen episode 8 of Survivor: Thailand, be warned that this thread will contain spoilers. So, if you don't want the show ruined, please stop reading now (but come back after the show, k?  )Fanatics Love List Vol 5.8 - Sleeping with the Enemy (and each other) This week's show was packed full of stuff. One one hand, full of emotion, full of heart, full of good ol' wholesome entertainment. On the other hand, still full of scheming, full of arrogance, full of stupidity. But which contestants showed which? Here's your chance to tell us! For anyone who's new to this (and it's never too late to join), your task is simple; just list the remaining 8 contestants in the order that you like them and then, if you wish, a short explanation why. 7. Jan (9) (tie) Erin was #5 last week. Survivorerist's Chart Notes: - So much to talk about this week. First of all, a brand new #1! Congratulations to Helen, who takes the pole position this week. I can't remember the last time a contestant made me laugh so hard as you! You were great this week, with your witty comments and good, wholesome well roundedness. While all those men are fighting to be the alpha male, here's hoping you'll step up as this sesaon's alpha female. Congratulations Helen on being this week's #1. - The Greatest Gainer Award for week 8 goes to Clay, jumping 8-5. Like Helen, you showed a great combination of humour and game smarts this week. I originally wrote you off as boring and stupid, but it appears the joke's on me! Clay, you are truly a contender this season. - My next comment goes to Brian, who stays steady at #6 this week. I don't know what it is, but, despite his position, I really think you're cool. You're a strong player, no doubt about that, but you also seem to have a sense of "there-ness" that the others don't. I had you pegged as going really far from the beginning, and it looks to be so because you seem to have complete control of this game. But, like Shii Ann could definitely attest, you never know... - Finally, a note to Erin. Why is it that contestants seem to get kicked off once I start to like them? This week, I thought you were a real star. You've got a warm heart and embodied everything I think a great Survivor should be, personality wise. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to win you the game, but you definitely played with grace. And that's week 8 from my corner of the world. How about yours?

Another week, another list.....1. Jake (1) - No change here, he's still the man....but he could buckle down a bit on that crying issue. 2. Clay (2) - Still funny, he's just like Big Tom's Mini-Me. 3. Brian (4) - Starting to like him more now that he seems to have control of the game, he is pretty funny when he gets cocky. 4. Helen (3) - Only moves down because of Brian's gain, although the recipes were annoying. 5. Ted (5) - Seems like a nice guy, he and Brian seem to have it figured out...who wants to bet that they don't? 6. Ken (7) - Kinda annoying at times, but I hope he and Jake can infultrate this CG tribe. 7. Jan (6) - She's a little crazy, and will be a contestant we won't forget anytime soon...and she needs to expand her Pet Cemetary, maybe they can bury Magilla there when Helen gets him. 8. Penny (9) - She's not doing well...I look for her to go soon..last week, she wouldn't talk to the CG's much, this week she talks to them too much and gets them worried, as they should be. Erin was #8 last week, but would've moved up some had she stuck around.

I am dying for this season to just be over already so I can never hear from any of them ever again. * Jan is by far my favourite at the moment. She is this season's sweetheart by default and actually she is the gentlest, nicest person out there. I hope the kindly old lady takes home the cash. * Though Helen is still up there with me. She is still the most deserving and if it's possible, I hope she wins as well ;) * Jake and Ken were all well and good this week. The people I really could care less about list begins right after them. * Ted and Clay are above for not falling for Penny's lame shtick. She's trying to pull a Shii Ann, but she hasn't got the skill to do it. Overall more of a Brandon than a Jerri. * Brian - I can't believe he's back to the same old garbage. Spew it once, I'll take it as a joke, spew it twice and I'm starting to believe it's something you live and breathe, sleezebag. I wonder if he'd fit in with Joel? -----------------------------------
Now let us never speak of S3 again.

Okay, I sure didn't see tonight's boot coming.... It was pretty loud where I was watching, and I'm not sure what I missed, but I was left with a "HUH??" feeling.1. Jake (1) Just love this guy more every week. He truly cares for all his folks. How agonizing must it be for him to have to keep voting his flock off? Is trying to figure out a way back in the game, and isn't ready to roll over.
2. Clay (2) He's got smarts, and a great sense of humor. I really, really hope that he catches on to Brian. I would love to see scrappy little Clay turn the tables on Brian, the king of cocky.
3. Helen (5) Tough lady, and playing things close to the vest. I wouldn't mind seeing her win. I hope she gets something going with Clay or Ted or even Jan or the Sookies, but I'm afraid that she might be aligned with the prince of porno.
4. Ken (3) - Well shame on me, I was so sure that this guy was going this week. I like this guy pretty well, and would like to see him be able to get something going to prolong his stay.
5. Ted (7) - He's climbing back up, a step higher every week. I only wish he wasn't in the boys club with Brian. Surprise me, Ted, and go out there and shake this thing up, please??
6. Jan (8) - She is a nice lady, but a bit out there to me, even though I am an animal lover and a softy too. Still she's miles ahead of the next two on my list.....
7. Penny (3) - Last week I thought Penny really had game...she showed such a cool, collected facade during TC (until the smirk when Shii was booted, but since Shii basically did everything to get Penny booted, I kind of understood that). This week, Penny had her very own lap dog euthanized. She made a mistake, voting out the only person that didn't see through her transparent sweet veneer, IMHO. Plus,her backstabbing Erin got me eliminated from Lionchow's Anti-boot game, so I have a personal reason for putting her down here this week. Yes, I am feeling very much the sore, bitter loser, thank you very much!
8. Brian(9) - Vile, smug, smarmy, bastid. I don't like anything about this guy any more. I agree with the above post (I think it was Kokoro who stated this first), that commented that since we were treated to his neanderthal "woman's place" comments for the second time (and this time it was not in a confessional, but in front of all the "guys"), he must really feel this way, at least in part. Since the guys seem to delight in taking a pi$$ in the front of the cave, I really wish that all the women would take a pi$$ in Brian's food.

They're decent people, but not Survivor material. Anyway, here's my list without further interruption... 1) Clay (forgive me) I just like his attitude about everything as far as the game is concerned. I can't say I'm a fan of his attitude about absolutely everything; but what can I say? He makes me laugh. 2) Helen, I really like her, but I think she's slipping out of game mode. That is why it is bad in the tribal stage of the game to win too many consecutive IC's. You only need to look at Rotu for proof of that. 3) Brian, I like the way he's playing the game, but the UTR strategy has never been something that I enjoy watching. 4) Ted, I also like Ted's attitude towards the game but I just like the others more. 5) Jake. He's a nice guy and I can forgive him for being human, but he's plummeting on my list because he's starting to let his emotions interfere. 6) Ken, the last thing we need is another Ethan winning. It was nice to see Ethan win, but we need a big personality to win because the finales are just getting too anti-climactic. 7) Jan, she's lucky to still be playing. 8) Penny, I am still sad and bitter over Shii's loss. However that is not the reason I dislike Penny. I don't hate her for what we see, I hate her for what we don't see, and we don't see her admitting that she is being a sneak. There is nothing wrong with being a sneak, but please don't pull a Neleh or a Vecepia and act like a hypocrite. That is what I liked about Shii, she was a lot of things that were good and bad, but she was real.

This week I really really started disliking Sook Jai.
They're a bunch of hypocrites.
First they go on about how Shii-Ann betrays them and everything.. then the next second Ken, Jake and Penny are trying to be all buddy-buddy with Chuay Gahn. Geez.. hypocrites I tell you.1) JAN- Really as Kokoro said, this year's America's Sweetheart. She may be the nicest survivor ever. Granted, she's not playing the game, but she has compassion, enthusiasm and most of all a caring personality.. and that rates her as #1. I think she proves that you don't have to be good looking, young, intelligient , or star material to be well-liked by the audience. 2) HELEN- lol.. recipes thing was funny. She's very real... I don't feel like any of the players left are real after Shii Ann left last week. 3) TED- O how things have changed. Ted used to be last on my list, but I dislike Sook Jai so much, that I'm pushing him up on my list. 4) BRIAN- Playing the Game 5) CLAY- I can't believe I'm not putting CLay any lower, I hate his guts.. but the bottom three.... 6) JAKE- You messed up big time. You voted out all the strong members of your team, leaving behind the two biggest baggages in challeges : Penny and Erin.. both whom have done nothing physically or intellectually in the challenges. Everyone who's left Sook Jai: Robb, Stephanie, Jed, and Shii Ann had at some point or another helped in IC or RC. Now you're left with Ken who's pretty much been no help in IC, and Penny the worst challenge participator of all time. Did you see her last week in IC? She one-handedly messed up the end of the IC to get Shii-Ann booted. 7) KEN- You rattled on Shii Ann about betraying the tribe, then you start to try getting chummy with Clay? 8) EVILPENNY- EVILPENNY voted off her best buddy. Why am I not surprised? I don't think I've seen a survivor quite as evil as this girl.

ALRIGHT! For once the person I wanted to get voted out did! (granted I was really hoping that Sook Jai would win immunity and Clay would get booted) Bye Erin! Boring as hell but not too bad to look at, just like I like my first member of the jury.1. Jake (1) - I love this man, and I truly hope he wins the game. If he can get something going with Brian, that would be great. I didn't think I would like anyone from this season as much as I like him. 2. Ken (3) - when everyone thought he was going to go ... ha ... ha ... MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! He and Jakey seem to be closer than we thought, and may the men triumph this season! 3. Helen (6) - only reason she didn't move up to #2 was the freaking recipe thing...my God woman, control yourself! 4. Brian (5) - hasn't really committed himself to anyone and seems to being playing the game rather smartly...however his sexist attitude (must come from the porn background) is getting offensive. 5. Penny (4) - she's getting a little desperate...I love that she just stabbed Erin in the back, that was great 6. (Erin) (7) - she was being really sweet to Jake in the cave or whatever, and I liked that, but I'm always for booting the least interesting player. 7. Jan (9) - her hair looked a lot more normal this episode...and you can't help but laugh at a woman burying a chicken head and guts 8. Clay (10) - for the first time moving up from last place, he's starting to be almost amusing 9. Ted (8) - the rolling of the eyes after Penny left was a good example of why I hate Ted, he's trying to be interesting for the camera, and failing miserably, b/c he's such a freaking dud (btw, when Penny asked if he was talking to his family, was she talking about the monkeys, b/c there's definitely a resemblance there)

Helen: She holds onto her position as the QUEEN of the island. I loved her quote: "I got a kiss from Clay Jordan, oh my god am I queen for a day"
Clay: funny as ever. Very smart not to trust Penny. He is a real character. Jake: Real good guy strongest player left on his team. Brian: He singlehandedly won the IC for them! That rocked! Jan: sweet sensitive lady. Her face was amusing as she cried when Jake killed the chicken. Ted: Good guy but he didn't do much this episode. He did however recognize Pennys motives Ken: What a WIMP! He came up quick! He sucks at challenges and lost this one for the team. Penny: The girl I love to hate

I like it when Survivors show their emotions when they are in the game without it affecting their game strategy too much. The human side is what makes the show interesting to watch. Nice job with the IC and nice to see you pull your 'children' together to enhance group cohesiveness. If the Sook Jais do win the game, I'm rooting for Jake. 2. Jan (4)
Oh, she's just so sweet! I like her expressions when Jake killed Lucky. And I'm glad that she understood why they'd have to kill the chicken and didn't pull a Kimmi. I'm also glad to see more people liking her than the previous weeks. 3. Helen (1)
She just cracks me up. Shii Ann said that she likes Helen's attitude and I agree. 4. Ken (4)

Oh yeah... this girl knows where her bread is buttered and is really doing whatever it takes to remain in the game. More power to her. You gotta do whatever you gotta do to survive. I think I like Penny more than Vee because the other players aren't falling for her sweet little girl act. I've been waiting for Penny to turn evil and she didn't disappoint me. And yes, I love that she's always saying everything with that (lethal) smile. 6. Ted (5)
Kudos for realizing Penny's (poisonous) butter. I like the eye rolling incident and him not wanting to see Lucky being killed. It shows his not so mucho side and made him seem more approachable. Dislike:

Ummm... what can I say? I find it a little disturbing when he was eyeing Erin's bikinis. I said in my List in the first week that I'll give Clay credits if he didn't pull a Tom and turn into a lecher when the other temptress (other than Sexy Jan, Petite Ghandia, Toothpaste Model Helen, and Clean Breath Tanya) inhabit the camp and he failed miserably for this test. 8. The cavewomen schtick is really NOT funny!!!
Edited to say: I just saw his CBS web video where he got suckered in by Penny's sweet demeanor. I sure would love to see Evil Penny take his cocky @$$ down by beating him at his own game! RIP. Erin (8)
Erin would probably be fifth on the list before Penny if she survived this week. I think she had a great moment with Jake and she really does seem to be a nice girl. She didn't get along with Shii Ann but at least she didn't "do her best to socially ostracize Shii Ann". I suppose her mistake was picking the wrong ally who stabbed her in the back (I'm pretty sure Penny told her that she would be voting for Ken hence the "I didn't expect to be voted off tonight" comment). Congratulations on making the jury anyways!

I think she was REALLY mean about her comments on Shii Ann in the Early Show. You don't say that the absolute highlight of your 24 days of Survivor experience is to kick somebody off the show. She can say whatever she wants in the show but to do it after MONTHS after the game is over is just plain mean. Geez... if Erin was not considered as one of the people who had mistreated Shii Ann, I can just imagine what Robb and Penny did to Shii Ann. If Shii Ann, the victim of the mistreatment, can say "no hard feelings" at the end of the show, I don't see why Erin should be so mean to Shii Ann months after the game.

1.(1) Jake - Stays at No.1 for a consecutive week. Last week, I was determined to move all the Sookies down this week. (revenge for Shii Ann's boot) But know, seeing how cohesive the Sookies are as a tribe, I like them much more. Shii Ann is still my favourite survivour though. Maybe she just couldn't fit in in Sook Jai. 2.(2) Ken - Yet to be No.1. Still like him a lot, though. Looks better each week, with the beard growing and all. 3.(3) Jan - I liked the humanity and kindness I saw in her when the chicken was killed. Her emotions did not get the better of her and she did what she had to do. 4.(4) Helen - Loved her comment about Magilla. A bit worried that she might be in danger because of her cooking recipes. Neutral:
5.(7) Penny - Tsk tsk tsk... Sucking up to the Chewies just after you criticised our Shii devil for befriending them. (BTW, Shii Ann befriended them genuinely. The same cannot be said for Dark Penny.) Only this high because she is a Sookie. Dislike:
(Fine! I am sour. That's why 3 Chewies are at the bottom)
6.(6) Ted - Nothing much from you this week. The sight of you doing push-ups and sit-ups wasn't that easy on the eyes. (No offence!) 7.(5) Clay - Don't you have a single nice thing to say?? 8.(9) Brian - Although you're expected to win the game, I still don't like you. Special mention: Erin - Would probably have claimed the No.1 if she wasn't voted off. Saw a really kind side of her. Tougher than I thought too. (3rd to resurface from water in Sook Jai, during the IC)

12. "Oh, it's crying time again, we're gonna miss you...." |
The list won't change much this week because there wasn't much new revealed about the survivors. However, it was a very entertaining show in some aspects as far as a surprise boot and keeping everyone guessing with another non-merge. A little heavy on the tears, but nice to see the obvious llloooovvvvvee within Sook.1. Ted (1) He's not changing on my list unless something drastic happens (like he's booted). He wasn't featured a lot this week but loved the eye roll after Penny walked away and his understanding of her motives. Very open and friendly with everyone on the beach - a little trash talking with Jake playing the game but compassion for Sook when they lost and had to go to TC. Credit for expressing everyone's emotional response to the win/loss - the bittersweet nature of it and everyone feeling cheated. He's working out and thinking of family - can't see anything not to love! And, he'll be around for at least three more weeks so there'll be more to love. 2. Jake (5) Moving him up for one week out of respect for leadership he has given to this group of misfits. And, his desire to take responsibility for losing the IC was moving. I'm a sucker for emotion so that's another reason. There were a whole lot of things that irritated me, but for this week he'll get the benefit of the doubt. 3. Helen (3) Could have had number two except you were really annoying with the recipes (thank's Jake!). Otherwise I saw more sense of humor this week and not so sour. The classic was "I got a kiss from Clay Jordan. OMG - I'm queen for a day". Shocked that you opted out of the underwater challenge. What's up with that? 4. Brian (2) Dropping a little this week after expressing the caveman mentality with the guys. Can't say anyone stepped up and argued about it though, did they? He's pretty interesting in most of his observations and seems to be impressing just about everyone out there and putting votes in his pocket for the end if he gets there. I think he will because he'll be very strong in the individual challenges. 5. Clay (4) Good observations regarding Penny - "I'm 46 and she ain't getting s---. The butters not working." Continues to be farily entertaining with his observations as he plays mini-Tom. 6. Ken (7) Quite a bit more solid then most of us thought. A little over the top on the pissing issue. Seems to be kinda paranoid about Chewy. Maybe he has reason to be. Nice observation about Brian selling lemons. 7. Jan (5) Moving back down with another "crazy lady" routine this week. I don't really dislike her but she's the lesser of a lot of pretty decent people because of her pet cemetary. 8. Penny (8) No chance of moving out of the final spot. No longer UTR with anyone and thanking her lucky stars she's not gone. I guess she could be next. While she's a schemer, I guess she's not in control of Sook like I thought. A real liability for the team in the IC's. Overall I've enjoyed this edition of Survivor - the new twists and turns keep me going. It's entertaining to see the spoilers complain about MB not playing by the rules. What rules? An odd week as we got the Zoe-like boot of Erin...1. Jake- I knew the big Texan could rocket back to the top! I was so afraid that with all his camera time he was gone this week and I was pleasantly surprised. He's Rudy and Frank with a heart, and Paschal with a bit more health. (7)
2. Brian- He's king of his domain. Follow the star. (1)
3. Clay- It's Mini Tom! I'm a sucker for the old codgers on Survivor, what can I say? (3)
4. Helen- Kathy with a bit more brains. She's fallen more because I like the others more, not because I don't like her. (2)
5. Ted- Slowly moving back up the list- can he back it back to the top? (6)
6. Ken- You're living in a freakin' cave, and you're worried about where people go wee wee? (4)
7. Jan- Are we sure she's a first grade teacher and not just a first grader? (8)
8. PennyWise- She's gonna move up every week. But only cause she's staying at the bottom of a list that gets shorter. (9) Big winner this week- Jake, with maybe the biggest jump of the season from 7 to 1. I liked this guy when I first saw him, and now he's showing his stuff. Here's hoping he can survive his tribe's Pagonging of themselves.
Big loser- Ken, from 4 to 6. Helen also dropped 2 points, but I still like Helen.
Most stable- Clay, staying at 3. Kudos to Clay who has managed to stay near the top all season. Anti-kudos to Jan and Penny, who manage to stay at the bottom for the 3rd week in a row. Resting at Loser Lodge: John (finished at #15), Tanya (finished at #5), Jed (finished at #12), GDiva (finished at #13), Stephanie (finished at #12), Robbbbbb (finished at #8), Shii-Ann (finished at #4), Erin (finished at #5)

8. Ken (9)Erin was #8 last week Helen moves up because she's one of the funniest and most on-her-game out there, and Penny slipped just a little. Jake gets to move up a bit, but he's made mistakes too, so he's really not near the top 2 right now Clay and Brian basically switch places. This is more of a correction from last week's rankings than a big shakeup. Clay really is pretty funny and observant, and was ranked a little too low last week. Brian I still like OK, but the slimy porno-used car guy is starting to show through Jan and Ted I'm just neutral too. I like them fine, but I don't have any real sense that they're particularly good players Ken I just don't really like, but he could move up if he and Jake are able to shake things up next week

8.ClayErin was #4 last week..and would have probably been #2 or #3 this week...because I actually started liking her and then she goes and gets booted! Damn.. Not much to say..Jake rules! I actually don't think Helen is that bad..after hating her for like 6 weeks lol...UMMM..Jan is off her rocker...Penny is still a b*tch..and I STILL hate Clay with a passion!!

1) Clay - This guy manages to crack me up at least once an episode. First, his comments about the ceremony where they killed the chicken were great. And also his comments about Erin and how she wasn't getting ****. I like his sarcastic comments because what he is saying is usually what I'm thinking.2) Brian - It's funny how he has changed through the series. In the beginning episodes, he seemed like a normal guy that you could root for. Now, his true colors, thoughts, and motives are really shining through. While he isn't exactly really likable as he once was, at least it's interesting. 3)Ted- Seems like a really good guy and his eye-rolling thing with Erin amused me. Didn't do too much else that was memorable. 4)Jake - The only Sook-Jai member that I actually like. He seems like a genuinely nice guy and it was easy to sympathize with how hard he took losing the Immunity Challenge. Although, I have to admit, his "That almost sounds erotic" comment really creeped me out. 5)Helen - Normally, she would be higher on the list, but this episode portrayed her in an annoying light with the recipe thing. Her comment when Clay kissed her though was pretty funny. I still can't figure out why she sat out the IC. 6)Ken- Pretty worthless to his tribe. He has sat out challenges left and right, and when he finally does participate he blows it. Hasn't really done much of anything. 7)Jan- They booted cute little Tanya off instead of you? That one I will never understand. This kooky old broad just grates on my nerves. 8)Penny-I can't wait until you get booted off so I can have a good hearty laugh. It's nice to see the two-faced side of you come out with kissing up to the Chewys. But you're all about Sook-Jai, aren't you? Whatever. Booted-
Erin - You brought your Adam's apple and huge boobs to the island with you, but you left your personality at home. Why you lasted longer than other people who were stronger and smarter than you is a mystery to me.

1.Brian- I think he's a cool guy. Although he makes some odd comments I still think he's a good guy.2.Ted- Has a good position in game. Helps out in camp. Continues to lead his tribe to victory. 3.Jan- Sorta weird but she's from Florida, so I have to continue to support her. At least she puts some funny lines into the show. 4.Clay- Same as Jan with the funny lines. 5.Helen- Works hard, has become alot cooler lately. If she were to make it to the finals it would be an easy victory. 6.Penny 7.Jake- Why Erin? Why not Penny? 8.Ken- You talk against Penny all that time but then vote off Erin. I can't stand him any longer. Erin- Goodbye Erin, You will forever be the winner of Survivor 5 Thailand.

8.PennyI really don't hate anyone this week, but all of the revelations about Penny seem to be coming true, and I'm starting to not like her character as far as the show is concerned. Also, I dropped Helen a few for all that recipe talk and although her Australian attitude is commendable, her expression of it is kinda corny. Jake-Ya big cry baby! What a sweet guy. Maybe crying to Erin was an act, so she'd get his vote at TC. Jan-Crazy or not, she's still fun and positive. Brian-Ooh, he's clever. I'm starting to like him more and more. He makes me chuckle. Ted-Nothing special to say about Ted. Ken-I agree with Erin. It's starting to wear on you. Clay-Funny sometimes. Unintelligible others. Sometimes he sounds ALOT like Boomhauer from King Of The Hill. Still, he irks me.

In the only other news this week, Ken drops from 4-7 and Ted, Clay and Jan shift up to cover his spot. Penny, however, gets rained on hard this week (like every week  ) and is the only contestant who didn't get a first place vote. The season is now officially halfway through, so that means it should be fun to see if our lists begin to stablize
