PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

Baseball trivialists might have heard of him. It's a good story: Mel Famie was a promising minor league relief pitcher that got called up by the Milwaukee Brewers. He was talented, but drank too much. At least he was loyal. In Milwaukee, he drank only the local Schlitz beer. Anyway, in a crucial game, he got to pitch in the bottom of the ninth, score tied. To make a long story short, since he had been drinking, he was pretty erratic. Every pitch he threw was a ball. Finally, with the bases loaded, he walked in the winning run for the other team.As he walked off, an opposition player noticed a can in his back pocket and asked the coach what it was. The coach replied: "That's Schlitz - the beer that made Mel Famie walk us." (Say it out loud. Hopefully you recall the commercials.)

Too funny! For someone that used to live in that area, I can't believe I'd never heard that one!

I've lived all my life in Toronto. Believe it or not, I heard that joke as a kid in the 1950's. I don't know what caused me to remember it now.

My father-in-law used to sing his son to sleep with the Hamm's beer song. Incidentally, he's a minister. As for my husband, yeah, he brews beer avidly in our basement. Guess your childhood really does affect your adulthood.
