This week's TV Guide interviews Evangeline Lilly (Kate) and Matthew Fox (Jack) and here are some of the interesting points.TV Guide: Will we find out what bad thing Kate has done?
Evangeline: You'll see her commit the crime in an upcoming episode. It doesn't reveal the entire story, but it's a huge piece of the puzzle. And she confesses to another crime. So you get a double whammy there...
TV Guide: Have Kate and Jack kissed yet?
Evangeline: No, but you know how exciting it's going to be for the audience when we finally have that moment.
TV Guide: Before you get to Jack, there's Sawyer.
Evangeline: Of course. Sawyer will have his turn with me first.
TV Guide: Well, we can't wait for Kate and Jack to get involved.
Evangeline: It will happen. Just wait for it-it will happen.
TV Guide: Is Jack the character you're most like in real life?
Matthew: Yeah, I think so. I actually read for Sawyer. I thought that would be really fun. But J.J. Abrams (executive producer) thought I was Jack. The interesting thing about Sawyer and Jack is that they're almost like two guys who could have been twins separated at birth. I think at the end they will end up on the same side against a bigger opposing force. That is just a theory, though. I don't know anything.
TV Guide: You're implying that Jack will become a little less noble.
Matthew: Exactly. The island's demands on him are going to gradually chip away at his black-and-white concept of the world. To get things done, he's going to have to become a little more like Sawyer. And I think it will be true the other way around.
BTW: Lost was TV Guide's best of 2004!
