"RE: Kids & Santa - Brag thread" Here are my girls when we went to Disneyland in November. He was the best Santa ever. Robin told Santa that what she wanted for Christmas was for her friend Joleen to come home safely from Africa. He asked what she was doing there and Robin told him that she was there on missions work. He said, "Oh, so she's out spreading the good news to other parts of the world." Santa said he knew Joleen and wanted to know what he could do to make sure she came home safe. Robin said maybe he could pray for her. Santa said he could do that and then he looked at me and said, "Can I pray with the girls right now?" I nodded and he began with "Dear Heavenly Father" and ended with "we pray all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ." He looked up at me and said that the girls' desire to pray for someone else was more "gift" than many mamas could wish for. I left there with tears in my eyes and saying, "That's the BEST Santa ever!" And truly, whether you are a Christian or not, putting someone else's needs ahead of your own is what we are called to do as human beings. My prayer is that all of you have a wonderful time with your families and friends. BTW - Joleen did come home safe after a 6 month trip to Tanzania on a medical mission. She saw more of "life" (and death) than most 25 year olds in the US will ever see.
