LAST EDITED ON 02-14-02 AT 06:35 PM (EST) Here's what I like and admire about GT: she knows herself and she shows herself. What a role model for full authenticity! And when I say "full", I mean a wiiiiiide range of interests, talents, abilities, experiences, and opinions. Yes, opinions. GT has opinions. And you don't have to agree with her - just show up with your authentic self, and engage in a lively discussion. But you'd better be up for it - her smarts and wit can be intimidating. Did I say intimidating? Yes, some have found her so. And she truly does not get what that is about, and I know why. She is not trying to intimidate anyone, because she does not need to make others smaller in order for her to feel bigger. She knows who she is and what she feels, and expresses it. She gives us credit for being able to deal with that. Not only that, she is damn funny, a walking thesarus, and a master of obscure references. Has a rather dirty mind at times, too. Yeah, I like her. I've always liked her, and I'm proud that she considers me a friend. EDIT:: JEESH - THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE 'GT SO' THREAD!!! Oh man, I am an idiot! I assure you!) I must mention that two other People *I* missed the most came out to wave at DK and/or GT, and that would be our MakeItStop and our volmel. Although neither have risen to the heights of DAW numbers that some of us *guilty* have attained (I say "risen" like that's a GOOD thing, LOL)--these two guys sure add zing whenever they do pop in. OMG, I think I displayed some gender bias up there, because I didn't include Leif Erikson in my list up there. OF COURSE I am thrilled to see Mr. Lovable Asshole-type, although somewhat disappointed he didn't show up in a KILT. THAT would be quite provocative Leif, do try to find one. And so I think of him with fond memories and wanted to say that I miss him when I saw this thread take a left turn to wave at him.
