geekboy 1788 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Herbal Healing Drugs Endorser" 02-23-05, 07:25 AM (EST) "Girl-boot Predictions" Since i did the boy-boot prediction thread.... I have to say i was impressed overall with the girls, but yes there were some snoozers... I think Janay could be in trouble, but her pre-finals performances may help her, and the support of Simon. I'm going to pick three possibilities. I think the three that are in teh most trouble are: Sarah Celina Amanda If forced to predict, i'd say Amanda is safe, and Sarah/Celina are bye-bye. geekboy   Top

I love her energy, but what i do not like is how she does the lounge singer thing, calling out to Randy and Simon. It was cute the first time, but lets drop it, OK?! She's fun, different, but Simon was dead-on (again) saying that the support/hate ratio would be 50/50. I think she could go anytime. geekboy   Top

I originally thought Melinda but there is apparently something to her that I missed. The only thing saving Mikhala at this point is that people will still find her entertaining for a few weeks. If I have to narrow it to two, I'll say Sarah and Celena.   Top

"RE: Girl-boot Predictions" Well, I had to go look most these girls up on the Fox website because they have been so unmemorable, I didn't know who was whom! Amanda, Celina, Melinda, Sarah, Lindsay - all completely boring. I liked Janay's style, but I'm afraid her nerves will do her in. At least she looked polished up there, and didn't do that strange dumpy-pants dance that so many of them acquire. I wasn't too impressed with Jessica but there's something about her that makes me want to see her succeed. My prediction: Sarah & Melinda gone.   Top

"RE: Girl-boot Predictions" Boy PM you need to help me out again..I can't remember a lot of the women. I hope Janay sticks around...she is so cute..but sooooo nervous!! I liked Carrie and Nadia...Aloha less because she came after Nadia. Nadia was amazing IMO, Was Carrie's song a Trisha Yearwood song..Carrie has an amazing voice and she is very beautiful...I see her going very far. As for Barbra, well I'm no in the 50% that Simon said is totally annoyed with her...why was she singing through her nose the whole time??? Whoever sang the Four Tops song (Paula said no lead vocal to showcase) and the one that sang the stupid Michael Bolton that one of the guys sang on Monday, IMO, are going home tonite.   Top

"RE: Girl-boot Predictions" Didn't get home in time to see the first 2 girls, so I missed Janay, but I liked her in previous shows. My favorites so far, including last night's performance: Carrie and Nadia. They are my top 2. Aloha is just way too over the top for me. And that outfit she had on and spreading her legs out hoochie momma style, singing a song "can't make it to the bedroom so we gonna do it right here on the floor" was trashy to me. I was waiting for her to flip her dress over her head. She looks like she is channeling Jasmine Trias with that flower thing going on in her hair/behind the ear...but that is where the similarities stop! I wasn't impressed with any of the other girls. And that girl that Randy was raving about, Melinda Lira, I thought was she was awful! She sounds like a nanny goat singing too many riffs(sp?). Can't stand Mikalah "Fran Dresher" Gordon! The ones on the block to chop tonight for me, after seeing the final run through clips of all last night's performances are: Amanda, Celena, Melinda, Mikalah, Sara, Vonzell.   Top

I LOVED Mikalah... her personality is a big part of her whole performance. I'm curious how she developed such a way about her, though, as she's appearently from Las Vegas but seems so Fran Drescher/young Barbra Streisand in Funny Girl attitude.. Anyway, hope she sticks around for a while, I would like to see what else she could do. I also loved the farm girl Carrie Underwood, and Aloha. Aloha's song was great, it was actually something I would play on the radio in my car. And sing along with. After that, Vonzell is also good, and my S.O. loved Lindsey, made me put in a vote for her, too.   Top

"RE: Girl-boot Predictions" I'm going to try guessing this by process of elimination like I did with the boys. First the girls I thought were really good and so should get alot of votes are; Carrie, Jessica, Nadia, Vonzell, and Aloha. Then the girls that weren't the best but probably have a "following" of sorts that will vote for them are; Mikayla, Lindsey, and Amanda. So that leaves; Celena, Janay, Melinda, and Sarah. Although on second thought, Amanda may not have alot of groupies but Janay may have more because she is so young. So my official guess will be Celena and Melinda to go I suppose. (And Travis and Judd for the boys.)   Top
