Colonel Zoidberg 3662 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Thong Contest Judge" 12-20-06, 01:27 PM (EST) "Survivor: Winners Tournament - Opening Round" In the spirit of the Ultimate Tournament, I have decided to run a quick, four-round tournament involving just the 13 people to win Survivor. People who won popularity votes such as Rupert, Ozzy, and Cirie don't count - you actually have to win the jury vote to qualify. Here's how it works - like all my other Ultimate Tournaments, each match is between two Survivors. Pick which one you prefer. Feel free to comment on your decision. You can pick based on gameplay, strategy, likeability, hairstyle, etc. As usual, I ask that you vote your own way and not bring game politics into it (i.e. people who vote just to cancel out someone else's vote or people who vote someone down just because they won some other game.) I've given Tom Westman and Danni Boatwright a bye to the second round based on their performance in the 2006 Ultimate Tournament, and I also gave Richard Hatch a bye to the second round because he won the first season. All ten other winners will be randomly paired with opponents for the first round. The randomization will continue to the second and third rounds and the final two will face each other. One note on tiebreakers - the usual rule applies. A new thread will be created, and you will have 24 hours to vote. The first Survivor to get four votes wins. If no one gets four votes in 24 hours, whoever gets more wins. If it's another tie, I cast the tiebreaking vote; as such, I will not vote in a tiebreak unless it comes to that. First up, the right to play either Tom, Danni, Rich, or another first-round winner is on the line in the following first-round matches. It wasn't Rob convincing Lex that she should stay that saved her; it was her convincing her new tribe that Jerri should go first. She was more of a player than Jenna, who really was just a beyotch and was the beneficiary of Matt throwing challenges. Tina Wesson vs. Chris Daugherty I don't really care too much about this pairing, and the winner will not get my vote in the next round. Tina convinced Colby to take her to the finals in order to win. Chris was just the beneficiary of stupid female gameplay in that season. He's a champ, just not one of the best. Sandra Diaz-Twine vs. Ethan Zohn This is a decision I don't want to make. I really like them both. Mostly I'm giving my vote to Sandra as the underdog. She doesn't have Ethan's abs, so I don't think she'll get many votes. But I think that for someone who couldn't win a challenge to save her life, she had the best social gameplay, particularly for someone who always spoke her mind! Vecepia Towery vs. Yul Kwon Is there a question?? I'm sorry, I don't answer obvious questions. ;) Brian Heidik vs. Aras Baskauskus Brian was a manipulator, and an ok player. I just like Aras more. Aras actually had competition, where I think Brian would have failed even against Chris Daugherty. This is fun, Kernel. I'm looking forward to seeing the results as well as having something to tide me over to S14.   Top

Without that, I consider it unlikely Amber would have stayed. Chris Daugherty - I was going to vote Tina, but I thought about it. Everything Tina did, Chris did better. Ethan Zohn - Sandra spent the whole game scrambling. She bet on the wrong horse, lost, and recovered. Ethan's strategy worked from the beginning, and he held his own socially. Yul Kwon - At one point, I thought Vecepia was the best player ever. That was a long time ago. She's been outdone in every major category by someone. Including Yul. Brian Heidik - Frankly, both of them were jerks. But Brian controlled the game, whereas Aras was getting his tail whupped by someone twice his age.   Top
