Even though my team (Apex) won, Maria's gone (whooop!) and my guy Kevin is exempt for next week, this episode just kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.
Why? Jen.The entire season I've been singing her praises and she's been one of my faves and easily my favorite woman both as a worker and personally, she just seemed above all the catty BS and no one messed with her...but lately...ick. She's been on this horrid collapse on both a professional and personal level lately on par with the Yankees in the ALCS, or Ben Affleck's career. Just downhill fast. And I really don't like Ivana, she's just been a step up from Maria for awhile, but she's been improving every week and she really did carry this team, and it just didn't rub me the right way when Jen got credit for her idea. A month ago if Ivana did something right and Jen got credit for it, I'd be like "Haha, that's called karma, holmes, start contributing and maybe you'll catch some". But now, with Ivana on the incline and Jen on the decline...it just doesn't seem right. Ivana is actually becoming more likeable as a person while Jen is becoming more repulsive. And...is it just because I'm going on 3 hours of sleep or is Ivana becoming more attractive as the season goes on? My world is quite possibly being turned upside down. Soon the sun will revolve around the moon, black will be white, up will be down, tuna will be chasing sharks, and I'll actually like Will & Grace. So I don't know how to feel about Jen at this point. I'm glad a change of scenary did Kelly well and I've always liked Kevin. Sandy's growing on me and Andy's cool enough. I guess I'll just hope that Jen pulls herself out of this so I can actually root for her and my world will once again make sense. I need a drink.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Jen was horrid last night. Why did she think she needed to even talk about the fit wheel, something she didn't even understand? Ivana is coming into her own, while I don't think she will win, she has certainly stepped up to the plate, while I have seen Jen M. do nothing that really stands out. I was so miffed when the president of Levis said Jen was the one on the Apex team. WTF is that all about??? How did he even know anyway?? All the guys left I like and would want to win. The only woman tolerable for me at this point is Ivana, she is definitely improving but none of them deserve to win this.

She thought she needed to talk b/c a) Kevin was sweating profusely and talking in a confrontational manner, and b) Ivana is a completely ineffective speaker. And the results show that she was probably right. The Levi's guy said that she was the most confident and effective at selling their concept. So she did know what she was talking about.And you know what, you're right. How wold the Levi's guy know who was best. In fact, I can't remember any other "judge" saying who was "best" on the team either. Thus, I don't get why people think that Jen attempted to get the accolades for Ivana's work. Why would she think that he would pick a "best" person on the team. In fact, Jen's act was pretty risky. If her team lost, Ivana could step up in the boardroom and say that Jen tried to sell an idea she didn't understand.

You're nuts. Jen was clearly the best speaker on her team. The Levi's guy asked them to explain the concept of the wheel. She did. She did it so well that the Levi's guy said she was the best. She never said that she came up with the concept of the wheel.Besides, can anyone remember a time when the person judging the teams has picked a "best" person? I can't. I'm sure that the team wasn't expecting this. Jen was just doing her best to contribute to the team.

Ivana has become a little better, but not enought to remind me of what she did to Stacie J (I'm trying not to hold grudges, but what she did was so wrong. She's only in the game because of Bradford). Jen on the other hand has become viscious and manipulative. I honestly thought that she was going to become tight with Kevin and stick with him throughout the rest of the challenges. She'll probably try to do that with Kelly now.

I think it was Ivana's karma that Jen was praised for the wheel. Even though the show is edited (for content, quality, etc?) Maybe Jen added that it was Ivana's idea, we don't know for sure. Unfortunately, Jen has had deal with people being underhanded and I have to say, having had the experience, one begins to fight back and be vicious and manipulative just to keep your head above water. It's not right, its just the nature of the jungle.

I was also thinking of other horrifically dumb moves like Raj making the house a 3-bedroom, Bradford's boardroom mouth, Chris in the boardroom, Kwame not firing Omarosa in the finale, having the rental-car drawing in the Atlantic City task, etc...

Kelly didn't really bring anything to this task that I saw. His only saving grace this task would have been the fact that Maria would not dare tell him to Back Off. I don't think that Donald was displeased with Jen last week. I think he was displeased with a) the team as a whole, and b) Chris for singling out Jen to keep out of teh boardroom. I also thought Jennifer was a great candidate early on, but she hasn't really been significant on any of her teams, except dog washing. My observation is Jennifer with her near-model quality looks and decent behavior, get a lot of unmerited favor from people in general. I think the Levi's president (I can't remember his name right now) picking Jennifer as the one key player for Apex summarizes very well how attractive people get breaks deserved or not. Clearly Ivana delivered the big win for Apex this week with the whole fit wheel concept and tying it into the catalog, but she didn't get the credit because Jennifer knew she could jump in with a credible presentation and a vague explanation of the fit wheel (with Ivana jumping in the clarify points that Jennifer just got wrong), and make the favorable impression that she needed to make. I give her credit for her political savvy in taking credit for someone else, but for a number of episodes I haven't been a Jennifer supporter, and as far as the women go, I think Sandy is more deserving than Jennifer (in terms of making it into the final two or three) although I don't think that's going to happen.

I have dislike Ivana all season, until last night. Ivana really found her nitch. Kevin should not have been the first to speak and should have designated Ivana as the lead in speaker. As a PM, at this point, you should be able to know who is a good speaker and who is not. I just think Ivana was completly thrown when Jen spoke up. It truly looked to me that Jen was stealing Ivana's as well as the rest of the team's thunder. If it had been me, when DT asked who was the best and the dude indicated Jen, I would have spoke up and indicated whose intial idea it was and that the whole team did well. I think that would have played well in Donald's mind, Carolyn's mind and the rest of the teams. I liked that they used themselves as models and I liked the wheel idea from jump. Jen really showed her claws last night and I think made a mistake. I have pretty much liked Sandy and Kelly all along. I think these two have pretty much kept their cool, have acted professionally and done fairly well in the game. Andy, as they all said last night, really needs to step up his game plan. He needs to show that he can lead, LISTEN, and assign tasks for the win. He will be gone next week if this does not happen.

Jen is corporate she is not the creative mind when things get real, maybe with selling lemonade or something. don't get it twisted she is a good looking girl with a brain but Ivana deserved the kudos.
What would have been huge for KEVIN would have been if he would have praised Ivana in the room in from of Trump and the levis folks. If DT can fire two in a BR then Kev can praise his star teammate.

I dont think the problem was that Jen didn't like the wheel idea. The problem was Jenn didn't understand the wheel concept. She just couldnt' get it.That is the reason that a lot of people see it as her trying to steal Ivana's thunder. I teach corporate classes and when the case comes up that I have to demonstrate something I dont really understand, I bring in the expert and let them explain. Jenn had no right trying to explain a concept she HERSELF didn't understand or comprehend fully. It also goes to show (and yes I'm guilty of this from time to time) that if you can speak with confidence and poise, people will believe you know what you're talking about even when sometimes you dont. That's right , you're fired..get out already

The way that I look at it, Jen didn't understand the wheel concept b/c Ivana wasn't explaining it well. Once Jen did understand it somewhat, she knew that she could explain it better than Ivana could.And I still don't get the 'stealing the thunder' thing. Why do you people think that Jen figured the Levi's guy would make the recommendation that he did to Trump? No other 'judge' had in the past.

I'm not speaking on the Levi's guy saying she was the best on the team. I'm only talking about the fact that she jumped in to explain a concept she didn't really understand. I doubt any knew that he would be asked that question.So many people are bringing it up becuase Jen's decision to jump in and be the voice of the team for the wheel put her out front. As you said, she could have seen it as taking a risk and it was one she was rewarded for, but the bigger issue is that if she were trying to win for the team, she should have taken a step back and let the person who came up with the idea, explain the idea.
I've already said before, the question wasn't even WHO came up with the idea, but rather HOW did you guys come up with the idea. And still Ivana would have been better to explain because she came up with the idea.

I still say that you are missing a central point, which is that Ivana is not a very good or convincing speaker while Jen is a very personable and convincing speaker. If I were picking between the 2 to speak about the wheel, I would have picked jen, despite the knowledge disparity between the 2. And whil we'll never know what would have happened if teh tables were turned, we do know that the Levi's guy thought that Jen did a great job.

I honestly thought the question was "Who" not "how" but eithe way Jen who up until the prototype was made had no understanding or comprehension of the idea. Then suddenly what was explained to her she is now explaining to them. That said however, Jen was the only one who could manage to string a sentence together in a coherent structure without sweating, talkingreallyreallyfast or just sitting there - Kelly. Considering how enjoyed the designing clothes task I expected him to jump right in... must be testing the straight waters after seeing Jen all hootchied up. I think Jen did an effective job pulling out that presentation and that is what cinched it.. .the idea was not one the Levi's people adored but they were impressed by her. Jen brought her strengths to the table and then walked right on up and on it. The problem in these episodes is the inherent singularness of the players. They are placed on a team to win as a team but the prize is to the individual. And these individuals cannot seemingly get past the fact that the ultimate goal for the meantime is to win as a TEAM. That their role in the team is what will make them standout as a individual. They remind me much of the kids on Nanny 911 whose discipline problems are largely the result of attention problems. Its ME ME ME and they cannot find a place that allows them that individual ME recognition time.

Would the wheel idea minus Jen speaking have led to a win. Probably. Would the absence of the wheel with Jen speaking have led to a win. Again, probably.

I just still don't get the 'stealing the thunder' point. No previous judge has singled out any 1 team member as being the best. Unless Jen can see the future, I don't see how she could have thought that the Levi's guy would have praised her. Jen stepping up seemed to have as much a chance of hurting as helping her.

She was the most put together in her jeans jacket, she is cool, has a measured tone of speaking and smiling when appropriate. She exudes confidence and intelligence. This woman did not even understand the concept of the wheel until the last minute.. and yet she went right over them and managed to explain it well enough to convice the Levi's people she knew what she was talking about. Kevin's sweating, Ivana's inane grinning and manner of speech and Kelly's inertia or hard on that immobolized him left a hole in which Jen filled. Had the requisite butt shots been filled sufficiently and Maria properly drugged who knows?

Ivana is no dummy so when you create the idea you have to know how to sell it to the next level. I think Jenn's hate for Ivana interupted her understnading the idea. Let's face it they are chicks.

Ivana needed the chance. Jenn just jumped in and not only did not speak up to share the light but she could have said when Donald lumped all the praise on her that it started with Ivana's killer idea. now that is the sign of a great teammate, and leader. giving credit where credit is due. Also it would have possibly humbled Ivana from making her remarks in offering a olive branch of sorts.

Levi's Guy liked Jen in the jeans photo. I think his entire ruling was based on the brain in the 501s, rather than the one atop his shoulders. I came eerily close to liking, or at least feeling sorry for, Ivana last night. She was definitely a victim of the "Fembot."

I think that Jen was a little slow on the uptake in understanding the wheel concept --- which is exactly why she was able to explain its usefulness in a comprehensive manner. Frequently, the person who comes up with an idea has a hard time explaining it to the common person because they have jumped ahead in their thought processes. Jen, on the other hand, had to go through all the steps herself and therefore was able to explain it thoroughly during the presentation. All this shows is that Jen had a slow day (maybe --- remember editing) but was still able to understand her audience and come through for the team. Levi's Guy would have brushed her off if she was just a pretty face (think how he treated Maria). Jen didn't steal anyones thunder --- she stepped in when she read the Panel's body language. Ivana needs a chill pill.

Jen knew Ivana was weak and stepped up for the kill, like a good little reality show contestant. She did what she's set out to do: win. Whether she's done it ethically or not is up to debate and as far as I'm concerned, all the Jen "cheerleaders" have done a good job explaining why they don't think what she did was unethical. You, on the other hand, lost me at "ho."

I can't remember any other person being singled out for praise like Jenn was. Could it be a set up to see how she would react, especially with Mr. Trump's "looks like that education is paying off" comment. Jenn's smug "thank you" sealed her fate for me. She could have been a hero if she simply stated, thank you, but this was a team effort, we all worked very hard, and Ivana played a key role with her wheel concept. I'm no fan of Ivana's, but I can see a bit of the victim syndrom of having to deal with the Jenn's of this world clouding her comments. Too much time was spent showcasing Jenn as the Fembot. I believe she will pay for it soon, but not before Ivana has a meltdown about how this task went down and Jenn again appearing to be the leader.

This particular episode, Jen displayed obvious attention-seeking behavior when she was sulking because she had to do 'busy work.' Is she above 'busy work' when she gets to actually work for Trump, or is she above 'busy work' when she interviews to work for Trump? I am confused how she defines 'busy work.' She was quite child-like while looking at the computer trying desperately to ignore the camera. However, on a positive note, she really shined as a model. Her only gripe was not wanting to do the gratuitous butt shot (which is blasphemy for a 501 ad), but I think she was just channeling her inner model diva self in that instance. She said she had gotten married 18 months ago, yet she seemed so turned on by Kelly's blushingly overexuberance and sound effects. Ivana. She can't explain her idea to Jen. She can't explain the building process of her idea to the Levi's exec, and she can't understand why most people don't think five steps ahead. That's a weakness, Ivana... not a strength. You may be a fast thinker, and you may even have an original idea floating around in your head, but if you are constantly thinking five steps ahead, you're never going to be able to back track enough in order to make sense of your thoughts... this, in turn, will only bring about the loss of faith that people already have in you. You have no credibility, because you have never earned it. Their campaign sucked anyway. Levi's asked for a campaign that celebrated the impact their product has had on Americana, and all the teams did was re-invent the marketing products that Levi's already has. With all of the models, photographers, graphics, printing etc.... that's an expensive carbon copy. Why Jen decided to interrupt Ivana and blow smoke is beyond me. If she dislikes Ivana so much, let her hang herself. Jen is too immature to realize that Ivana's blunders doesn't summarize Jen's efforts. Jen's efforts in trying to cover up Ivana (whether it be shame or superiority) will end up doing in Jen. The high-end pros that these apprentices are dealing with aren't fools. Just because they don't go into great detail on camera of how transparent most of the contestants are, doesn't mean that they are blind, just judicious with their verbiage. Trump has it in for Andy and Jen, actually Sandy too, so they are shoe-ins for a fire. Trump hasn't had one bad word to say about Kelly, not so much about Kevin, and a little about Andy, so they will probably be the last three standing. If Kelly doesn't get the job, I will be surprised.
