mysticwolf 10692 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Playboy Centerfold" 03-17-08, 11:11 AM (EST) "Grrrrr" My day is svcking. At some point last night the cats unplugged my computer. Now, when I turn it on I get a beep code indicating a memory error. That's problematic for a couple of reasons: 1) My almost finished Survivor summary is on that computer. Now, I get to start over. (Apologies if I don't get it posted today as I had intended.) 2) I'm stuck using our Vista machine. I hate Vista. I can't find anything. Nothing's where it's supposed to be. And, I'm starting to hate this machine. For some reason it's randomly repositioning my cursor while I type. Sometimes back at the beginning of a line, sometimes somewhere in the middle of a line or word. And, I started my day by taking Puzzle to the vet to have them look at the tumor in her ear. Obviously, it will need to be removed. The one good thing is that it won't be (or shouldn't be) as expensive as I'd feared. Oh, and looking at her records, she and her sister, Spot, turn 15 in a couple of days. Hope her blood work comes back okay. Anesthesia's tricky at that age. So, how's your day going? On my computer Internet Explorer is not only on my Desktop, but it's in my Start Menu. If you right click on the one in the Start Menu, Internet Properties pops up. Under the General tab is the Home Page listings. Looks like some of the other stuff you want to do is also on that tab, but I'm not sure about "clear my browser"... it has options for clearing out cookies/temp files......   Top

Bought a Mac notebook mostly to avoid Vista. (although there is some work I can do at home with it because some of the programs are Mac) I had 1.5 fillings done this morning at the dentist. the 1/2 is one that had chipped recently and while they were in there anyway they might as well fix up the other side. Needed to get some money at the bank for the contractor guys replacing the porch's woodwork. But bank now needs a bank photo ID for transactions at the teller so I had to get that made. While my face was still drooping from the Novocaine. Luckily I don't look too much like I had a stroke. Got the NC Zoo background. Unfortunately it doesn't have Mystic on it, just some random zebras, but I liked that one the best of the choices. Now I just want to sleep and my jaw really hurts from holding it open too long but they are hammering too often, but I don't think it will take them too much longer to get the job done. Trying to figure out what to make for dinner as jaw hurts. Might do some bubble and squeak. That'll get me potatoes and cabbage and maybe it'd be soft enough I won't regret eating. Soup and a peanut butter sandwich just about killed me for lunch. Just can't open without aching. Maybe I should just have Guinness for dinner.   Top

DD spent much of last night waking up, then coming down the hall screaming to wake DW and I up. So I'm tired. This morning my watch had a wardrobe malfunction (the band broke), so I got to spend my lunch hour going to two stores to find a replacement. And I also got to fill up my car on bargain-priced gas at $3.33 a gallon. But none of that compares to memory errors and lost Survivor summaries. A SharTribe creation!   Top
