What/who are some of your favorites that are underrated or have fallen off the radar?John Cusak-Who doesn't want to hang out with him? And who isn't intrigued by any movie he is in. I excuse Must Love Dogs. It was a bad script, not bad acting. Dairy Queen-With all the fancy ice cream shops around & frozen custard mania, DQ is getting lost in the mix. It's ice milk, so it is lower cal/fat and has delicious topping combos available. Their food isn't bad, either. The Yellow Highlighter-Sure, there are fancy new colors out there. Yellow still does the best job, IMHO. Easy on the eyes, gender neutral (otherwise, I really enjoy pink), what's not to love?

I love John Cusak. He's dreamy. Off the radar for me but back on as of last night: The Facts of Life. I ordered the first two seasons on DVD last night. *dork grin* One nation under George, divided.

Okay, okay... what exactly attracted you to this series? Please don't say 'Mrs. Garrett as mother figure.' Or 'The sterling quality of the plotlines.' (You can say 'The desperate, incredibly comedic attempts to keep Kim Fields at twelve years old.' Seldom has one network tried so hard with so little success to hide a puberty...)

I still fantasize that John Cusack will someday be found holding a boombox over his head under my window. Or that I'm Minnie Driver sitting in my radio studio and Cusack is standing outside the window. Or that I'm Laura watching Rob wallow in misery and make me a mix disc. Mmmmm, John Cusack. My mostest underrated nominee is the Foo Fighters. They don't get tons of airplay, except maybe on alternative or college stations. But they, IMHO, are the best rock band out there with an unerring talent for kick azz rock and roll with irresistable pop hooks. As huge as Nirvina and Kurt were, in hindsight I think that maybe Dave Grohl was the biggest talent to emerge from the Seattle/grunge scene. I can't get enough of them. I think Letterman and I are their two oldest fans. Goddess of the Steeler Nation

I agree on the Foo Fighters. Dave is very talented and charismatic. They really have a connection with their fans.

John Cusack is my "if I could meet one actor/actress and have a conversation who would it be?" guy. I also like that he doesn't really like the limelight. A Syren original! And he's really easy on the eyes.

John Cusack is my "if I could meet one actor/actress and have a conversation sleep with him, who would it be?" guy. I like his sister, too (but she's way far down on the "sleep with" list). A PhoenixMons Original

I really liked her in "She's The One" as the "frustrated" sister-in-law to the Edward Burns character. I really felt that she made the movie.

NBA playoffs-Basketball is still the second greatest sport. This year's teams prove that teamwork can get you far(Dallas/Pheonix/Detroit/San Antonio/LA Clippers).Comedic Actors-Much more talented than dramatic ones. Call me nuts, but Jim Carrey should have been nominated for "Ace Ventura", and Bill Murray should have been nominated for "Kingpin"(the combover alone was worth the admission price).

We're in the same book, but on different chapters: I thought Carey should have been nominated for The Truman Show.

Is Penny Marshall making movies anymore? True, her father is Garry Marshall (which doesn't hurt to get your foot in the door of Hollywood.) However, I think Penny did plenty of her own quality work. How many female directors are there? (not many)Men: Where's Morgan Freeman been lately? Tom Hanks? Patrick Stewart? Robin Williams? Brent Spiner? Danny DeVito Women: Wish Jessica Tandy were still alive---she was really GOOD! Glenn Close (too under the radar, imho) Rhea Perlman What was the name of the actress that played "Claire Kincaid" on Law & Order? -- name escapes me...or the woman that played "Diane" on NYPD Blue. Heck, anyone from any of those casts (with the exception of David Caruso. Jerk! Who LEAVES NYPD Blues in the middle of its heydey?) Glad to see gone/ off the radar: Callista Flockhart. She just doesn't DESERVE to be both on the radar AND with Harrison Ford! ;)

Here's my arguement against that. The Truman Show would probably have been just as good, or at least close to it, had somebody else besides Carrey been cast in the Truman role. On the flip side, Ace Ventura would have been absolutely unbearable in the wrong hands. It's almost the same thing people say about Bill Murray in "Lost in Translation" v. "Kingpin", "What about Bob?" or "Groundhogs Day". It's serious v. comedic, and in my opinion the latter is much harder to pull off.

I've *hearted* John Cusack ever since Say Anything...I think it's voice and eyes...Off the radar: Ghost Hunters on the sci fi channel. This is the only place I'd ever admit to watching that show..I enjoy it because they try to disprove the haunting more then prove it..it's much better then that ghastly show Most Haunted on the Travel channel.
