PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

Someone's going to win a terrifyingly overpriced grandfather clock and you won't be there! And, if this is a good day, an 80 year old woman will win matching motorcycles just before an 18 year old college kid comes up to try for a china hutch. (I love Price is Right Prize irony)

Shouldn't surprise you. I mean, federal government was the originator of the If the Price is Right game, anyway.

I hate Lucky Seven. Hateithateithateit. I swear they've been making the final number 1 or 9 on purpose for the last six months. And it was nearly impossible before that.

It IS a very sadistic game. It's about as winnable as Golden Road. Now, the Grand Game? Piece of cake. Oh so sanguine since 1984

LAST EDITED ON 10-04-05 AT 04:56 PM (EST)I just realized that I've seen more people win Temptation than I've witnessed winning Lucky Seven. Temptation. Geez. That should be like saying you've been at more perfect games than no-hitters. I think I saw a Golden Road winner once. Once. It was a camper. It's almost always a camper. Losing the Grand Game on the first item should be like getting the first question wrong on Millionaire. It should follow you for the rest of your life. So what's the hardest TPIR game? Other than the casino one. The one I never want to play is the 1-6 dice roll for the car -- luck plays way too big a part.

I'm convinced it's Hole in One (Or Two)The fact that they had to make it easier, and it was STILL almost unwinnable should tell you something. Oh so sanguine since 1984

Crap, Temptation. That's the game where they bring out four items ranging from 600-1200 dollars a piece (usually), and then every contestant gives up the 2k-4k or so in stuff to lose a car. Right? Horrible game, no one ever wins, because they ALL go after the car. Well, not no one, I saw someone win once. That's exactly one more GR winner than I have ever seen. It's pretty amazing how many people actually lose on the Grand Game. It doesn't seem that hard to know that the twelve-pack of soda costs less than the nursing-home sized tub of ointment, but maybe that's just me. However, the game where the players have to make blackjack is easier IMO. Just off the top of my head, any game (5 price tags, Shell Game, Secret X, etc.) that involved a part of luck has to be harder than some. To be fair on Hole in One/Two (as Slice referred to late), it isn't so much that it's hard, rather that people svck immortally on putting. Take a look at BotNRS' final event. Master Key is pretty bad since you can do everything right and still win Flatware. Other games I would not want to play Any game that involves extra chances that is determined by your play. For instance, there is a game (forget the name) where you choose a number of lists of 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 numbers to make the price of a car. I'd hate to get 4 right on the first one, I essentially have a 1/5 shot at winning. Another one that is bad is the one where you have the price of a car and you have to flip it up or down. I'd get 4 right, and need to find the wrong one. Another car game would be the car game. Starting with a set price, then having to draw cards to get withing x dollars of the price. Too difficult. OT Note: The Cliff Hanger game, when you wake up at 11:15 or so and hear the music, is one of the happier TPiR Morning Moments. Oddly enough, there have been two mountain climbers.

At least the Golden Road is both rare and has some fantastic prizes. I usually only see it once a summer (if I'm lucky on a vacation), but then the big prize is huge, like a motor home, or your own CBS reality show. Lucky Seven just gives you a car, not even one of the really nice ones you get in that Three Strikes game (which is now much easier).

The 1-6 dice game usually gives away a Town Car or Mustang or huge SUV...But unless you roll nothing but 1's and 6's, it's damn near impossible. The last Golden Road I saw, the big prize was a Dodge Viper. Soooo cool.

Really? Must have changed since they had that nice little one in the first column. But you're right, plus they sort of rig is. I'm waiting for the day that a price is 26,166.
