TDT has speculated here:
http://www.truedorktimes.com/s6/spoilers/ep5.htmthat this series of split screen images is from the upcoming IC...this could be from the RC, but it seems pretty clear that a swap/cohabitation event takes the place of the RC in EP5.
Deena is wearing her challenge buff.
Her boat is carrying a yellow flag (not seen on their fishing boats)
Deena is in the front position in her canoe.
Deena is working very hard, apparently competing.
Dave is wearing his blue challenge buff.
His boat is carrying a blue flag. (not seen on their fishing boat)
Dave is in the rear position of his canoe.
Because of the split screen we can conclude that Dave and Deena are not in the same boat.
We can also conclude that there is someone else in the boat with them. (They appear to be two man canoes, but there could several people in each boat.)
Questions:
Why the use of a split screen?
The split screen gives the illusion of a two person (male/female) competing in a boat race. This could be to conceal the actual tribe mates after the swap or it could be to suggest a male/female pairing where there is none, because the tribes continue to compete seperately.
What is the EP5 Event?
Since the buff colors and flags are still yellow and blue, we might conclude that the two tribes have not merged. They will continue to compete for team immunity, we just don't know whose in each tribe.
The split screen hides whether or not their has been a swap. The tribes could be cohabitating and competing seperately or they could have swapped and be competing as two new tribes.
Why bother hiding the other person/people in the boat?
If the teams continue to compete as men versus women, the split screen is not necessary. The question of whether the tribes are living together or not, would not be answered or even hinted at by a vidcap of men competing against women...the preview must be hiding something about who is in the boat with Deena and Dave.
It seems to me, the only thing it can hide is teammates of the other sex on the same team.
So I am concluding (until Brownroach, Forehead, Dawg, or someone else convinces me otherwise ) that this is the IC and that the new co-ed teams compete together for team immunity after the swap...
