dabo 25344 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Playboy Centerfold" 08-06-08, 00:58 AM (EST) "Season 3 8/5 Eliminations Round" First off, I like this new innovation of the show, cutting acts without an audience! Hey, what do the real three judges need a pretend fourth judge for anyway? Second off, sorry I've been absent lately, no excuse except I've been busy and, well, the tryout rounds went on way too long and had toomany duds. Eliminations round, great concept. Wouldn't be needed if they reduced the number of ultimately boring tryout rounds and got to the real competition sooner, but who am I to quibble. Wait a minute, huh, the China contortionist girl got cut, the four-year-old singer made the cut? The newbie country girl singer with the great personality n' all got cut, the four-year-old singer made the cut? I don't understand, if you are going to pretend that being able to create and sustain a longrunning show in Vegas is the ultimate criteria for a pass, why pretend a four-year-old can do that.   Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: Season 3 8/5 Eliminations Round" I haven't watched the 2nd half yet-Tivo is an amazing little device, isn't it?? BUT, I do agree-I was SO glad we weren't put through the GRUELING hours of watching and waiting and all that stuff all...over...again....last night! Come on, already! Even AI doesn't do that to us! Maybe someone upstairs is finally getting it! I can't see that 4 year old going much further. Come on-other than Shirley Temple, who could also sing, dance, and ACT, who is going to put through a 4 year old who SINGS and that's about it? Yes, she's phenomenal at what she does NOW, but let's not start grooming any more Brittny's or Lindsey's this early in the game. Please! I'll finish watching the second half and see if there are any other ideas/comments/criticisms to add. I was happy to see that Sharon was not so soft last night, and wanting to shovel every one through. And I didn't see, but I'm hoping that the cheerleaders, and half the dance acts are gone! We can always tune in to DWTS, or SYTYCD if we can that genre! Let's do something different-like a ventriloquist who is amazing, maybe?? I saw this little girl on last season's Briton's Got Talent on youtube. The US girl even sings the same songs. Guess the U.S. wants to increase their ratings too.
