true 9689 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Playboy Centerfold" 06-24-08, 06:09 PM (EST) "Is this show worth checking out?" I'm not sure where this show falls on the reality show quality meter, but I'm curious. (and, my reality tv standards are pretty low) I LOVED Piers on Celebrity Apprentice, but I've never watched this program. Sharon Osborne doesn't bother me, but David Hasselhoff??? I don't know if I could take him for very long. Given the lack of decent stuff on right now, is this show worth watching? If so, could you tell me why you like it? There are a few weeks of auditions, the good ones you can always watch on nbc.com. The best of the bad always get run on The Soup, so you can catch up that way. Lots of filler like most of these shows, so if that annoys you, tape it and watch later. Watching the Hoff get Hassled can be amusing, especially when you can see how turned on he is before he realizes the performer is female impersonator. I've never made it past one or two voting rounds, but I've sometimes watched the auditions because you do sometimes get something really unusual that can be amazing. Unfortunately a few of those once they make the voting rounds can be too one trick pony to make it very far. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America%27s_Got_Talent will let you know what kinds of acts made it to the voting rounds the last couple of seasons.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I guess I'll have to check it out to see if she needs to be on meds or if he's really ok. I started watching SYTYCD for the first time this season, but I skipped the audition rounds. I've done it that way for the past few season of AI as well. I can't stand dumb audition rounds, and I figure if someone is good, they'll make it to the "hollywood" type rounds. I've watched Last Comic Standing since the first season, but I've found the auditon rounds to be so painful this season that I've just deleted them without watching. I tried watching this show and it makes me more and more upset when I watch it. They sometimes pick the WORST person to make it through to the next round - just b/c of publicity sake. Then they get rid of people that have true talent. I don't know...I just don't get this show. The show doesn't justify the name of it at all! But that's just my opinion.. It's a GREAT show to record and zip through all that sappy stuff and the awful performances. And my kids have enjoyed watching other kids perform. But I can't stand the beginning shows.
