I finally got DS to bed.We were all watching the first hour. Gosh, Piers just likes to make kids cry, doesn't he? As I type, there is some guy singing something inspirational (I think). I don't like it, but I think I'm on the record about not really enjoying the singing acts.

I missed the Quick Changers  I liked them in the first round. Edit: The 2 juggler/comedians were excellent: they juggled people - they had 3 audience members in harnesses and they swung them around on stage without bumping them off each other. I thought they were funny. I liked their professionalism. They were great the first time, too. Hasselhof said that they had made him renounce his membership in the "I hate jugglers" club. For whatever that's worth.

Cool, huh. http://www.nbc.com/Americas_Got_Talent/talent/index.shtml#main ETA - knowing this allows us to skip watching the all the time-filling carp they pad this show with. Wait - that's the stuff that makes this show somewhat interesting - aside from the occasional talented act. The most interesting thing about last night's show was the earthquake that lasted for about 5 seconds right after the show started. I say bring back ALL THAT!!!! Hmmm....sexy cloggers, who woulda thunk it?

I did see the quick changers and liked them. The woman that shoots the bow and arrow with her feet did the same thing she did in the first round. Nothing really new.

Stripper was a joke. Letting Rapping Granny go through is a joke too. What happened to that one gospel singer that got the whole audience on their feet? Did he get a chance to perform in the semis? There's a lot of shows for singers (which I why I don't think they should be letting so many through), but that gospel guy provided something different.

I know that this is a talent show looking for the best, but you CANNOT TELL A FIVE YEAR OLD THEY SUCK. That wasn't just mean, it was absolutely cruel and totally unfair. For his age, the kid was quite good. They didn't try to feature him, but they did include him and he did well for his part - which was to look cute and do a short jig.This was worlds different then telling 13 year old Miller that his 18 year old brother wasn't good enough. This was a 5 year old that will feel crushed if his family doesn't make it because he can't dance as well as a 15 year old. OF COURSE, he can't - but he did a great job for his age. No different than any of the other kids talents which seem to be judged by a different standard anyhow ('you have the most amazing voice for a 12 year old). Well, he dances great for a 5 year old! I can't tell you how mad that whole thing made me. I definitely hope they make it through because they are quite good and extremely talented. 
But, the four of us had a great time.

Acutally, I was having a horrible time choosing between the top two from this week. They were both great acts and I enjoyed their performances.I'd have been happy with either. As it is, I'm glad the Irish dance troupe got in, just to stick it to Piers.
