"TREASURE HUNTERS SUCKED"
Wow, was so disappointed. All I saw was participants in various areas of the hunt with lil or no logic shown of how they got there...none of the hustle...just commercials.

So I'm ASKing...is this gonna get any better? If not I won't waste my time to be bombarded with useless promos.

While the product placement was a bit much, I don't see why you were confused. If the area looked warm we were dealing with the teams starting in Hawii (sp) and if it looked cold we were looking at the Alaska teams. What did you find so hard to follow?

Dunno if it's going to get any better. I hope so. I liked it as it was, but I'm always up for better. Guess we'll see.

But, I doubt that we'll see fewer commercials, which would, de facto, make it better.

What product placement? I didn't see any. Maybe I go find what products were used in the show by using Ask.com, with it's unique search engine technology. Or maybe I should just call my wife who watched the show with me using my new Motorola Razr phone. Hopefully some day I'll find out what products they used so that I can recreate their path using Orbitz to help with my travel arrangements.

I'm with you, kiddo.

I wasn't necessarily lost, I thought, but when forced to watch it twice in a row I realized I missed a bit of the action as well.
The clues weren't that difficult and that's the only action we get to see. Where's the freakin' drama?.
Granted, watching 30 idiots running around, with half a clue, is slighty amusing but there isn't even enough of that.
Because before you know it another string of commercials.
Lead into by a set of pre-caps and followed by recaps.
(Which, by the way, bother the fricken'-frick outta me. Like I can't remember what happened 4 minutes ago?! Sheesh. How stoned do they think we are?)

However the whole idea of commercials is somehow tolerable from a mini-errand standpoint but...
My biggest problem with this show lies in the fact that I have somehow, through the years, trained my brain to "tune out" when commercials come on.
So when the show is on and the cast members are heard saying stuff like "He's motorolaphone-ing me", I can't help it if it I drift into my "2&2 nap-time". Or leave the room completely for a nosh or a wizz.

AND what's with the whole premiere on Sunday and then air the new episode next Monday. Already messing with the schedule. And since I work on monday nights, I can miss it if I want to. (Yes, I have DVR. But I wouldn't wanna waste the drivespace.)

It's already gotten three-strikes from my viewing perspective and to add fuel to the pyre, it caused a fight in the tribe, my tribe. (So if anyone asks, like if something bad happens, it's this shows fault!)

Pbbltt!

I'll spend my time anxiously awaiting the new TAR.

And hoping against hope for a return of The Mole. Even if it has to be without Anderson as host. PLEEEEEEEASE!

In semi-defense of the show since I liked it so far.

> I wasn't necessarily lost, I thought, but when forced to watch it twice in a row I realized I missed a bit of the action as well.

I never got lost following the players, I did miss some of the action since I was also busy posting to the online thread.

> The clues weren't that difficult and that's the only action we get to see.

People keep saying that, but I wonder how easy the clues are when you are not infront of your TV at home and have other teams breathing down your neck.

> Where's the freakin' drama?.

Even TAR does not have much drama before half the teams are gone, once the lame teams are gone things should heat up.

> watching 30 idiots running around

I counted 21 idiots. Ex-CIA, Grads, and Airforce look like they have some working brains without too much egos. That can change too.

>set of pre-caps and followed by recaps

The break at the one hour when all teams meet was helpful for my mom. Otherwise you are right, all others were a waste.

> trained my brain to "tune out" when commercials come on

That is your problem, not the show's. Luckly does not happen to me, beside we get some very funny Ads here in Canada.

>premiere on Sunday and then air the new episode next Monday

Monday is the planned standard showtime. For a new show that no-one has seen before, Sunday probably was the better date to air.

>it caused a fight in the tribe, my tribe.

Don't leave us like this, what was the fight about, and who won?

In TAR, when the host explains what needs to be done, it is done once. The teams may each read a clue aloud. But in Treasure Hunters, why do we need to keep replaying the host saying the exact same words on the mobile phone telling them what to do next when another team arrives?

And another thing -- names -- give me not only the team name, but the individual's name, at the bottom of the screen.

The producers think we're too stupid to remember what we just heard 5 min. ago.

I thought this show was going to be a more thinking, intelligent version of TAR, but really it's a treat the viewing audience like 5 year olds with the intelligence and attention span of 5 year olds, show.

I hope that stops.

Another thing, I don't like the host. He has absolutely no personality and seemed rather stiff. I miss Phil!

Still, I kind of liked it and I will continue to watch it for now.

10. "RE: TREASURE HUNTERS SUCKED"
I have re-watched parts of the first episode three times and I think some of the complaints aren't as bad as some are saying.

The host didn't repeat all instructions just bits and pieces. I think if they only showed one person hearing the clues people would be asking why they are not showing everyone hearing/listening to bits and pieces of the messages. TAR does the same thing. When the envelopes are opened, they always show each team reading bits and pieces after we have already heard Phil explain it to us.

I thought this show was going to be a more thinking, intelligent version of TAR, but really it's a treat the viewing audience like 5 year olds with the intelligence and attention span of 5 year olds, show.

I am not so sure about this...the smart kids went to the wrong mountain to start with. I think the clues are more difficult than what we as viewers think. Keep in mind, we have no idea how much time transpired during the bus ride while they were trying to figure out where to go. They had to piece together every where they had been in order to figure where they were going. We as viewers were basically fed the information they wanted us to have so we would know what the right answer would be.

I liked it and hope it gets better!

12. "RE: TREASURE HUNTERS SUCKED"
My point about the producers treating us as unintelligent had more to do with the fact that they did show the instructions being repeated over and over by the host. If it were the contestants who repeated the instructions then that's ok, but I think we the viewing audience don't need to hear the same instructions over and over because we can assume that they all got the same instructions.

I found a lot of that kind of information to be redundant and basically to be time fillers when I think more interesting stuff could be shown in that time frame.

As far as the actual clues and puzzles go, I do find that they aren't particularly easy, which is one of the fun parts of the show.

Personally, I thought his manner of speaking reminded me of William Shatner. It was kind of distracting to me.
