Oh, I totally forgot it was tonight! It seems so fast. What a great way to brighten my day. It just won't be a season of 24 without: a Kim Bauer gets kidnapped plot!

Ok, maybe it's just me, but some stuff on this show is starting to annoy me. (and I don't just mean Kim)First of all, I think they need to ditch the whole "24" thing. I realize they spread the hours over months of air time, but yes, I do recall that Jack was in withdrawls, Tony was shot and operated on, and sidekick guy was brutally tortured, just a FEW HOURS ago. Now on to Michelle. Why is she not in a hazmat suit? If she thinks she may not test positve, get in the damn suit. Why doesn't TOny insist she wear the suit? They won't let anybody who lives within 3 blocks of the cheater guy leave the house, but Michelle can mingle and share computers and phones with victims who are clearly symptomatic? For just a moment, when the gun went off, I was hopeful that Kim was the one hit. What a let down. Other than that, still entertaining.

First time over on this board. I love this show. Here's my take on some of your questions: Jack sure hasn't suffered any signs of withdrawals in the last couple of episodes. That's got to be the fastest withdrawal from heroin in history. Everytime I see Tony I keep thinking about how precarious his health was only a few hours ago. When he and Jack were in that shouting match over sending Kim into the field I kept waiting for the bandage to blow off his neck and blood come pouring out. Chase sure doesn't act like his hand was shot clear through. Michelle and the hazmat suit. My understanding of the virus is that once you're exposed you are either infected or immune. She's already been exposed and she's waiting on the test result to see if she's infected so there's no need for her to wear a suit. She's already been exposed. (I think this was in Sunday's episode) Last but not least - Whatever happened to that baby? I don't like to try and figure out what's coming because (with this show) I'm always wrong and I like being surprised. But the whole time they were dealing with Chase's baby I kept thinking "how is this going to play into the story?" Did I miss something? Last I saw, Kim was suppose to be watching the baby while Chloe worked on something else. Where did the baby go?

Everytime I see Tony I keep thinking about how precarious his health was only a few hours ago. When he and Jack were in that shouting match over sending Kim into the field I kept waiting for the bandage to blow off his neck and blood come pouring out.My thoughts on this: Last summer I had a lymphnode removed from my neck. It certainly wasn't as big as a bullet, but it resulted in a 2 inch long incision with stitches, pretty much in the same spot as Tony's wound, except mine is on the right side of my neck. It was an outpatient procedure so I was home within a few hours. I know for a fact I'm not a big strapping hunky guy like *sigh* Tony. In fact, I fully admit I'm a 125 lb wimp. I was down for the count. For two days. The neck is basically all muscle. Cutting into muscle isn't an easy thing to recover from. I'm with Rabbit... I keep expecting Tony to at least react with pain. Three days after my surgery I sneezed and almost passed out. I thought I had ripped my stitches. Ow! I love this show and I'm willing to suspend belief for a lot of the hoops they jump through, but Tony's quick recovery from surgery to the neck is hard for me to swallow. </rant> But I do love this show. I hope Jack is back for next season. Tony too.
And *smooches* to Rabbit. I'm glad you made your way here.

And heaven forbid if I watch anything with Don Johnson!! The beer can comparison kind of freaked me out. I hope I didn't violate the PG-13 rule.
So that's why Melanie married the guy twice!

OK, so Kim shot the connection to Saunders- Lennox- thanks Kim! Looks like Jack has no problem with the prospect of torturing Saunders daughter though. Something I didn't realize until last night- Saunders is connected to the whole Victor Drazen thing from season 1? hmmm...Have heard rumors here and there about next season, if there is a next season. First I heard this season will not end with a cliff-hanger- but that everything will be wrapped up by season end. There have been rumors of a possible 24 movie that would not be in the 24-hr format. There's rumors that Jack won't be back for a season 4 and that he might even be killed this season. I've also heard something about the show possibly not starting until January next season (if there is a next season) cause it takes so long to write and put the episodes together. Now wouldn't it be brilliant if FOX would start the show in January and air two episodes a week instead of one? This is all just speculation on my part.

I'm conflicted. Do I continue to read the spoiler stuff just because I want to know what's going to happen and I'm not patient enough to wait for the show? I read it on RR Monday and the episode was a virtual word for word (except I don't recall Palmer saying millions would die - thought he said thousands). This spoiler stuff is more detailed than the Fox site summary after the episode. I think I'm gonna stay away for next week. So, the show wasn't quite as edgy this week for me as I knew everything that would happen. Maybe Kim's stock took a slight rise off the floor with her actually doing something useful - of course she did manage to get nabbed, but that was more the fault of daddy and those observing and she did manage to defend herself. Off the thresd here - is it me, or does anyone wonder if all government female agents always dress with lowcut tops? Here we have Kim and Michele. On CSI there's always tight/low. I don't watch a lot of other stuff, but I assume it's the TV norm - do people in these positions actually dress this way irl? Will the public stop watching if these people dress more profesionally? Ok, back to the show. I did enjoy Jack putting a little reality/fear into Saunders daughter near the end of this week. Of course, I think she's probably pretty much innocent of anything (urge to check spoiler....don't do it!). But, I don't think I'll feel bad no matter what he does because "millions of peoples lives are at stake". As for loose threads - other than Jack dying/resurecting last season the three medical marvels this year more than rival past recoveries. The one that interests me the most is Jack - he's in the throes of withdrawel when I leave the country and when I get back there's nary a mention or indication of any problems. I asked back then what happened. I got no reply so I guess nothing happened - just a total spontaneous healing that somehow viewers aren't supposed to notice or question. But, since I still watch I suppose these little holes in the story aren't that important. From what I've seen I don't think Jack will die because he's supposed to be in the movie in the fall (though that could be in a different time frame). Also, if/when 24 comes back I think they are going to change the time frame. I think the writing is just to constrained by this format though it's been a fun ride - I've enjoyed the format even with it's crazy impossible stuff at times. It's what made me watch the show in the first place so I give them credit.

...but will Jack be back? I cannot see him being out of season 4 completely. It would make more sense to kill him midseason when they already have the audience hooked and make it a 'Who killed JR...er, I mean who killed Jack Bauer' season.
