PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

Yep, that's the subject of Episode 5 ... where we learn ...SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT Don't open if you don't want to read it! ... that Jack has surviving family other than Kim ... family with which he has a history ... family that may even have tried to kill him in a past season. These Bauers make the Addams Family look sane. (Thanks to Tanker and Czar for the info.)

TV Quide mag says Jack's father shows up about halfway through the series. Can't remember who plays the part, but it isn't Kiefer's real father, Donald. My husband's wondering why they don't use him.

Why did Jack Bauer punch his brother? What gave him reasons to be suspicious of his brother?

LAST EDITED ON 01-28-07 AT 02:21 AM (EST) That? is the Power Of Bauer.
Either that or Jack's clueless and it's good old-fashioned sibling rivalry. Kind of like Niles and Frasier taken to the next level. Tribe

LAST EDITED ON 01-29-07 AT 10:46 AM (EST)Either that or Jack's clueless and it's good old-fashioned sibling rivalry Jack? Clueless? Surely you jest. Would you all like to see Czar's spoiler for tonight to prove it (at least the end part)? This spoiler is courtesy of The 24 Community, which you should join if you're interested in what's coming up in the future. But first, a word from Czar: 24 is very worried about Heroes gnawing away at its 18-49 crowd. Freshmen dramas that become uber hits have gradually become showkilling assassins, picking off shows one by one. 24 needs to step its game up over the course of the next few weeks because fox has gradually grown stubborn when it comes to moving popular show's timeslots away from other network's uber hits. Jack Bauer would never go the way of Seth Cohen, but fox needs to re-embrace schedule shuffling....again. The next few weeks are critical. My advice, stream hunky newcomer heroes on nbc.com and watch 24 in glorious high definition on fox. And on to Czar's clues on Jack and Graham, proving that Jack is wise to suspect Graham (other than the fact that Graham tried to have him killed last season, which Jack doesn't know), which, like much of the show itself, is hidden: At the Bauer residence, Graham begins to talk. Graham admits that both he and their father have intimate knowledge of the nuclear weapons and that Philip’s company in particular is neck deep in the acquisition and supposed disarming of a handful of soviet warheads. BXJ technologies farmed the task out to an inexpensive specialist named Darren McCarthy. McCarthy went bad and sold the nukes to Abu Fayed. Graham claims that he and his father have been trying to quietly clean up the mess. Jack doesn’t know what to believe and he wants to ask the man himself, so he makes Graham take Jack to their father. Jack and Graham arrive at their father’s location and Jack doesn’t receive a warm welcome. Phillip Bauer has mercenaries protecting his location and himself and they are also supposedly attempting to recover the nukes. Graham reveals himself to be a true 24 baddie and it’s revealed that... the men protecting Phillip are really working for him and Graham turns the tables on both Jack and his father and they are both now his prisoners. There's another plot line to the spoiler, but you'll have to get that from The 24 Community site. Edited to fix Czar's typo.
